Radically Content came at the right time for me to read! I've been trying to be more mindful and satisfied with my life as it is NOW, not what I think it should be later. This little book is chock full of great advice and how to stop letting work overtake your life.
I love the bite size wisdom in every chapter. Afterwards, I had to sit with myself and think and think on the lessons and where to apply it to my life and how to maintain its value in my mind.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book.
I wasn't expecting such an in-depth book.
It was full of important and relevant info, but without it being too overwhelming or dense.
I really liked what Jamie Varon had to say on this topic and I can see myself revisiting this book again.
Wow! I'm pretty selective with my "Self-Help" reads as I think it's a genre that can easily be overdone, but this book was absolutely the right book at the right time. I've been thinking a lot about our culture's focus on striving for bigger and better lately, while also contemplating ways I can work on changing that in my own life.
My word for 2022 is "enough". And the more we get back to "normal" the harder this feels to do. In our fast paced world and with the constant ability to be available via technology, there is this constant pressure to do more...with work, activities, and even fun projects and opportunities.
The "hustle culture" is talked about for a reason, it's a real thing. But it's also something we can push against. It’s okay to work hard and it's also important to take a break. It's vital to stay connected with one another but it's also okay if messages aren't answered immediately. And we all can find our definition of "enough" in multiple areas of our lives.
This book gave me so many ideas and I definitely plan to revisit it and read it again. I also think it would make a great choice for a book club! I know I could certainly use a group discussion around this one.
Thank you to Rock Point for my gifted review copy.

From the gorgeous cover to the words of wisdom in its pages, Jamie Varon presents concepts such as healing and self-trust as viable ways to create a more content life. This book is like having a hot cup of tea with a friend who encourages you.
This book is super helpful and full of wise advice for people at all stages of their career. It does a great job of explaining the toxic elements of capitalistic hustle culture and how to stop being a workaholic. It is a great reminder of what things in life are truly important and how to do the things that will make you happy.
I felt this was a very positive book, with a reflection on life and felt like I read about myself in this.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
