Good book! This was a good murder mystery! It had light suspense, intrigue, and good sleuthing detective work! It was a little short and definitely a light mystery no gore or bloody type book. It was worth reading just not one of my all time favorites but a decent read! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
Cliff Walk Turns Fatal..
The fifth in the Kate Palmer mystery series. Kate, and sister Angie, have relocated to a seemingly peaceful Cornish village. A departure from the hustle and bustle of London, Kate, a practice Nurse, is looking forward to a more sedate lifestyle. The last thing she expected was to become embroiled in murder and mayhem, dealing with dead bodies was most definitely not on her agenda. Naturally inquisitive, some would say interfering, Kate becomes determined to solve any crime she encounters especially of the murderous variety and much to the consternation of the perpetrators. When a body is discovered at the foot of the cliffs during the Tinworthy annual Summer fete, chaos ensues. Unfortunately, it is Kate herself who has discovered the body making her suspect number one. Needless to say, she is determined to clear her name. After all, a long list of people wanted the infamous Sienna Stone gone. When another body is discovered, Kate may well be running out of time. With a likeable protagonist in Kate, a colourful cast of supporting characters, and a delightful setting this is another thoroughly enjoyable, fully entertaining read providing some gentle escapism.
Winter, summer, spring or autumn. Killers never stop and that means that our amateur sleuth nurse Kate always has her work cut out for her.
Woody would rather like she would not put her nose where it does not belong in order to keep her safe, but Kate being Kate, she cannot stop herself and will not rest before the mystery is solved.
She always seems to be on the wrong place, meaning the place where she discovers bodies, but to me it seems like she is always on the right place, because she manages what the police doesn’t : solving the crimes.
In this book Kate has two things on her mind. On the one hand she wants to find out who is the killer or maybe killers in this case and on the other hand she wants to investigate the girl her beloved son is so besotted with.
Woody is not happy with this and he advises Kate to let the police solve the murder and to let her son work it out for himself. Well, Woody, you could have saved that energy and used it for something else, because everybody knows that when Kate has something in her head, she will not stop before she knows every little thing there is to know. 😊
Kate has made a list of suspects and there is only one person on it she knows is innocent. What about the others though?
A great 5th book that made me smile and had me captivated. 5 stars
Thank you
