I was so excited when I picked up this book two years ago. I was interested in the storyline and it seemed like something right up my alley. Unfortunately, I dnf'ed it about 25% through. The bones of the book were there, it just didn't seem like it was executed in the best way. Two years later, I don't think I could pick it back up. Regardless, I think I would try to read one of her future books. Like I said, the foundation is there, I just wish the plot was more developed.
Lisa Renee Jones never disappoints - Her stories are sexy as hell with storylines that keep you engrossed from beginning to end, and even at the last word, I always crave more! The characters in this story are realistic and perfectly flawed; the powerful dynamics throughout each layer of the story are second to none.
I can’t recommend this author more and encourage you to give this perfectly wicked story a try!

Fast paced and suspenseful story between two powerful characters with a lot of heart. Loved the story but hated the cliffhanger. I guess I need to read the next books in the series.
Unfortunately I didn't download this one in time and the book was archived. My apologies. Since then, I have made a point to download the ARCs right away so I don't miss out on books.
What a great beginning to what I know what will be an epic series.... I can't wait to read book 2!....
Hot, steamy, and sinful!
Lucifer (Luke), a member of the hot Walker Security team, meets up with Ana under pretty bad circumstances.
Lots of action; some intrigue going on (looking forward to see what is coming next!)
Lucifer is totally alpha and is committed to saving Ana, but she is not the "damsel in distress" bc this lady kicks some @$$ in her own right.
Great story - can't wait for more!
Intriguing start to a series with characters that have flaws, needs, and a fierce desire to protect. The Walker security team is built from damaged, but loyal men. In this start of the series, Luke (Lucifer) and Ana cross paths again in their lives and the chemistry is sizzling as they uncover truth and fight to stay alive. A book for mature audience. I was given this read from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately I DNF this book at 68%. I tried for over a month to get to this point but this book just isn't for me. As I didn't finish the novel, my rating will regretfully be 1 star.
Lucifer's Sin felt like something I've read a million times before. I went through a Maya Bank's KGI phase years ago - falling down the rabbit hole and reading those type of romantic suspense/military/FBI romance and this didn't feel like anything new. I didn't feel any connection between the characters and didn't get the vibe of chemistry that I was looking for. There was a lot of repetition in drama in the "he killed my brother" variety and as a whole, the novel lacked in keeping my interest.
I loved reading this book. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book. This is one of my favorite by her yet. I enjoy how her writing skills and attention to details that make her stories pop and bring her stories to life. This book is no different. This is a well written story about Lucifer and the Walker Security and he is the newest member. He is a character that lives on the edge but also has a demon inside that is about to come out. What happens next I highy suggest reading this book. I found the characters relateable and supportive of each other. They have great growth throughout and made the story easy to read. I enjoyed being pulled into the story as well as the twists and turns. This is a must read story that you don't want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.
2.5 - 3 stars
It's been a while since I've read a Lisa Renee Jones book, and glad to say Lucifer's Sin was intriguing. I liked the hero's character and the story itself but had some difficulty connecting with the lead female character. Somewhat curious as to how the tale will conclude in the next installment.
Lucifer's Sin was such a good book. Lisa Renee Jones is a great author and I would love to read more of her books.
is this my favorite author.. yes
have i read every single thing she has done.. also yes
did i love the concept of lucifer .. yes.
did i feel the vibe .. no
this is a no for me just because i truly didn't feel the connection. Loved Lucifer however.. and the writing is very good and it speeds along.
I got through a few chapters of the book before deciding this book wasn't for me. I made it all the way to chapter 13 before skimming through the rest of the book.
The writing was fine, but I really couldn't get into the book at all. The characters and plot was a bit lackluster. I felt Luke was rather bland. They mentioned Luke killing Ana's brother so many times in multiple chapters and I felt it was a little unneeded.
I probably won't be giving this book another chance, but open to reading something different from this author.
I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. It is book one in the trilogy and was excellent. Good writing style and synopsis and really kept you engaged. I love the secondary characters that make an appearance. You get attached to all the players.
This book follows Luke "Lucifer" and Ana. Luka and Ana have a past and were in fact engaged when a wedge was driven between them. Years later, Ana's life is in danger and Luke will do anything to protect her...even as bodies start piling up.
Overall a good and engaging read.
Loved reading the mesmerizing and amazing romance story. When Lucifer finds out Ana is on a hit list, he rushes to her side to protect her and hopes she doesn’t shoot him again. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully riveting story, and a must read love story. Can’t wait to read the next story in the series!
I just reviewed Lucifer's Sin by Lisa Renee Jones. #LucifersSin #NetGalley

This book is fantastic. I knew after reading the first page that I was not going to get anything else done that day. It was a thrilling, fast-paced and action-packed read. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The romance and heat level was just right. The couple had serious chemistry and I loved that the author made the sexual tension smoulder until the last quarter of the book when they finally decided to be honest with each other and talk things through. It will be interesting to see what other revelations will appear about Ana's brother in the next book.
This is the first book in the trilogy but enough of the story is resolved in this first one that you don't feel like it's ending abruptly with a cliffhanger. I really can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed reading Lucifer's sin! This is the first book I've read from Lisa Renee Jones and I'm excited to read more about Ana and Lucifer. However, I feel kinda mixed with this book.
The beginning of the book is strong. You instantly dissapear in the book and I found it hard to put the book down, I just wanted to read more. The smooth writing style makes you fly through the pages. I was so intrigued, the situations followed each other so quickly! I really liked it but it also kept me from feeling the chemistry between Ana en Lucifer. It is so fastpaced that I kinda felt that I lost the story. What I really liked about this book is that you read from Lucifer but also from Ana. We got to know them both which makes it really interesting. They are both such strong characters and so badass! The cliffhanger at the end really made me curious about the next book in the series. I can't wait to read more!
I really enjoyed this book by Lisa Renee Jones. It was very interesting and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
I wanted to like this book, really, I did.. The sex scenes were ok and the plot just uninteresting and lackluster. I ended up skimming a lot of this because I was so bored.
I tried to like this one but it just didn't do it for me. I wasn't a fan of the characters, especially together, and found it to be repetitive.
