Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an early release of Best Friends Forever. This was creepy, soooo many twists, I didn't know who I didn't like more. Very fast reading, the ending was sooo not what I expected. The characters were people I would never want to know in life. A Well Written Psychological!!!!
Wow! Crazy storyline! This book had a few crazy twists thrown in at the end! It also had suspense, intrigue, and a crazy sort of a who done it! I was very shocked to hear what really happened! I thought I had everything figured out, I did get a few things right but bam! That was a shocker! I definitely recommend reading this book! The storyline was very interesting and flowed nicely! I definitely enjoyed reading this book! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
A girls road trip? A chance to reconnect or a chance to find out the truth? Two women have two different versions of a traumatic incident and two different reasons to take this journey. Throw in a little craziness from both and it’s explosive for most of the novel but the ending fizzled just a little,

Best Friends Forever by Cathryn Grant
Read in one sitting, twisted and a thriller.
The book is told in 3 perspectives, Abbey, Raven and Lily all their sides of the story.
The story switches from each person and from past to present, where Raven and Abbey go on a road trip for their college reunion.
A seemingly straight-forward story winds and twists so much you will wonder what will happen next.
The author has several backlist books which are as good or better than this story.
I resented the little daily intrusion of meals and what not, I wanted to just read and read and see where the story ended.
The end was a surprise to me, maybe won't surprise others.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a quick moving twisted suspense story.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and published for the e arc in exchange for an honest review.
posted to NetGalley, GoodReads, Wordpress and will post to amazon.com once the book is published.
Grant is one of my favorite authors, but I am slightly disappointed by this one. If you are looking for a shocking twist at the end, you'd be disappointed but overall it is a good story, not great but still okay.
A really great read, thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it, so many twists that I didn’t see coming and a great ending ..
This novel, was an intense, gripping psychological thriller, within a few pages I sensed immediate exciting suspense, at points where I thought it could be predictable, I was taken aback as there was so many twists and turns it was a fantastic read. The book itself is fast-paced, and very addictive in fact I finished it within a few hours, determined to figure out who the real villain was, proving entirely wrong every single time!
Cathyrn managed to represent each one of the characters with highly individual personalities, all riddled with some sort of mental health issues stemming from circumstances that hit them while they were in University, over 12 years ago.
One of the main characters Abbey, her personality was driven by impulsive decisions, and at time naivety, at a desperate attempt to grasp the freedom she once lost, whilst she was in her 20's. Raven was married for over eight years, but had problems of her own as she was riddled with the grief and pain of her unknown infertility.
Without ruining the novel for people, the triple POV narrative, concerning Abbey, Raven and Lily was fascinating, especially as Lily's perspective was through her journal since she had died.
Themes in this novel based around friendship, secrets, stalking, abuse and death. Friendships driven by negativity, jealousy and conflicting reunions.
As the novel progresses, it unravels the secrets all readers are desperate to figure out, and the circumstances that surrounded Lily's death.
Published April 2022. This was a fantastic read, and I am so looking forward to the publication date!
Thank you NetGalley, and Cathryn Grant.
I found this a rather unusual story. Two friends are setting off on a road trip reflecting on tragic events years ago.
Throughout the book it is obvious that the truth about the tragedy has not been revealed. This is finally revealed at the end of the book.
I thought it was strange that the girls set off together after years of estrangement and felt that their behaviour was unlikely. I thought, at times that writing about this behaviour was just a way to get to the final reveal.

A gripping read that I read in one sitting,. It is well written with a compelling storyline and characters that were well developed. I couldn't pu this book down, it was mysterious and unpredictable with twists galore. A great read.
An extremely immersive read. I couldn’t put it down from page one, which I find very rare these days. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author
I did not know the author previously but was attracted to both the title and cover. It was fast paced, and I found the storyline intriguing and believable - to a point. The end took me by surprise but I enjoyed it overall. It certainly brings to mind the saying 'revenge is a d2ish best served cold'. Be careful who your friends are - can you ever really trust them?
‘Two Friends, One Road Trip. A Journey to Hell’
Abbey and Raven are old college friends who after a tragic death lose contact. After Abbey gets divorced she decides to go on a road trip where she reconnects with Raven. During the road trip they realise they are being followed, what happens next is much worse!
I was really taken by the synopsis of this book and it did not disappoint! I really enjoyed this book, it was dark and fully of twists and turns. At times i felt it was confusing with the dialogue between the characters but overall i would recommend!
Thanks to Cathryn Grant and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this! .
Who is the villain here?
That’s the question I kept asking myself as I flipped page after page faster and faster.
This book was everything I look for in a thriller- twisty, suspenseful, characters you love in one chapter and hate in the next.
Special thanks to the author for allowing me an ARC via NetGalley. I was not compensated in any way for my review.
I’ve not heard of this author before, but the cover and title intrigued me and then after reading the blurb I definitely wanted to give it a go! The premise was great and I’m a sucker for a dark past with a secret which is about to cause utter chaos… and oh boy, did Abbey & Raven have a time of it.
The writing is tense, and the way the characters are described made everything very vivid and easy to picture. It’s definitely one of those that’s best going in to without any sense of what the secret might be as it always you to connect with the characters more and you get completely invested!
I’d 100% read more by this author and would love to see this as a three part itv drama!
I was gripped to this book all the way through. Addictive, fast paced, page turning physiological thriller. With great characters and an even better plot. One not to be missed.
Best Friends Forever by Cathryn Grant is another propulsive read from this popular author, and one that had me fully engaged from the very start.
Two college friends agree to take a road trip together, but their motives in doing so are very different and not altogether transparent. When an ominous stranger begins to follow them, it becomes clear that this is not a random stalking. Someone is targeting one, or both, of the women, and secrets of the past will be exposed as the two friends begin to realize that they are now engaged in a fight for their lives.
This is a compelling and fast-paced read that will keep you flipping the pages.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an ARC.
Cathryn Grant has become one of my favorite thrill writers. This book is no exception and examines the dynamic between two best friends that goes awry. I absolutely was drawn in from the beginning and waited for the plot to unfold eagerly. I wasn’t disappointed what a great read!
Honestly i was disappointed with this one. The ending femur Rescued and not satisfying at all.
The storyline was compelling but overall worked up to kind of nothing. Unfortunately I Would not recommend this one
