I hate writing reviews about books I don't like. I feel horrible for the author who put so much time and effort into their work but I have to be honest about my feelings
This book was painful to read. The writing was stilted. There was alot of tell and not show. I couldn't get lost in the story. This is forgiveable if the characters were good but I have never taken such a strong dislike to both main characters.
Noelia was rude, at times cruel, inattentive, impatient and really just an all round b***h. I really did not care for her.
Nate was a judgemental a**. He looked down on his daughters fiance because in Nate's opinion he lacked ambition and was happy being a 'grease monkey'.
Please give this book a miss. Its not worth the time.
I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Was not my cup of tea at all. I usually love fairytale inspired books but this was not it. The cover made me uncomfy and the writing was not what I expected. Would not read again unfortunately.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Noelia is a widow who works in her best friend’s bridal shop. She can’t say no to helping anyone. Nate is a widower who is a psychologist with a daughter who is in a coma due to a car accident. They are drawn together. There is the ghost of Nate’s wife trying to protect their daughter. There is romance, paranormal and comedy in this story. I loved this book! I highly recommend it.
The Sleeping Beauty Bride is the second book in the Wedding Bliss series. Noelia is a very busy woman. By day she works at Wedding Bliss a bridal store. In the afternoon while her friend is on a cruise, she is subbing for her at the hospital. And in her spare time she writes historical romantic books. While at the hospital, Noelia bumps into a father of a patient who is dubbed "Sleeping Beauty" and is in a coma after a car accident. Noelia is immediately attracted to Nate, but keeps that to herself for the time being. Strange things start to happen with a ghost trying to help those left behind. Noelia will do her best to try to help out in her own way to bring the young woman in a coma and her fiance together.
This is a very sweet story. The plot moves along quickly, but I still enjoyed it especially the pushy ghost aspect. Some of the characters are overly helpful and entertaining at the same time. It was nice to read a little bit more mature romance for a change. All in all it was a nice story.
