I really enjoyed this book and the new insights it provided me about Aeneas and the Aeneid. I found the writing style extremely accessible considering the academic nature of the book and subject matter.
While I understand the difference between the COVID-19 pandemic and modern conflicts, I would've appreciated some reference to the fact that modern refugees would be able to connect to the Aeneid in unique ways. It felt like the author was ignoring the fact that life-changing wars still occur across the globe.
