I really enjoyed listening to Lady Love and the characters in the book. Lady Gabriella was born into a life of luxury and in all actuality she just wants to be a normal girl. However, she is holding together her family and everything around her. She can't take over the estate because it is passed down to the son, but she treats the manor like it is hers. Her father holds her to higher expectations and she works hard to keep everything in working order.

Gabriella wants to make her own choices and to live her own life. She makes a deal with her father in order for her to do so.

Lady Gabriella is enthralled with gardens. She is taking a gardening course unbeknownst to her father. Once her father learns of her interest, he allows her to use part of their gardens at the family’s estate for her finishing project. Her favorite place is their gardens, and she wants Miles, their handsome gardener, to help her with ideas for her garden project. He never appears friendly towards her. He knows Gabriella is out of his league. I loved to watch their relationship develop. This book has many strong relationships that are very positive. Aunt Katherine loves to smuggle goats into the garden, and they wreak havoc. She has lots of surprises up her sleeve. Honesty is most important to lady Gabriella’s father and the support they give each other is heartwarming. The servants and relatives are all one happy family. I really liked this book and felt right at home with them in the gardens and their village.

I am not a big romcom fan but sometimes a little comedy is just what I need!
This is first in the Aristocrat Diaries series. Original title of this store was “Love Language”.
However, it could easily be called “The Gardener and the Lady.

Lady Gabriella Hastings is not a typical British Aristocrat, Daughter of a Duke, she is known as “Lady Love’ on her advice blog. Additionally she wants to go to college and learn about plants and design gardens as a career.
Miles the gardener at the estate wants to stay away from the beautiful Lady of the house.
However, it appears opposites do attract.

The characters and story was fun at times but other times not so much!

Narrator Shakira Shute does a good job performing the characters.

After watching season 2 of Bridgerton, I needed another English love story to hold me over. This book is in a modern setting and the main character, Lady Gabriella, had a blog called Lady Love where she gives people advice and answers questions about love. I just loved how this book transported me into another lifestyle. It was a sweet story and gave me similar vibes to Bridgerton.

I think that it would've been better if the author added more about her blog. The book is titled Lady Love so I thought it would be more focused on that. Instead, it was more of a background plot. I loved watching Gabby break down Miles' walls. He was so mean to her at first so it was neat to watch their relationship develop.

I enjoyed this book and actually wanted it to be longer. I felt like it was over too quickly. Luckily this was only the first book in the series. I am so happy that everyone got their happily ever after.

Lady Love by Emma Hart is a very fun listen. I loved the banter the author wrote. The fighting of class conscious attraction was parallel to rich versus poor sides of the tracks. The author was clever with how the hidden secrets were divulged. The steam level of the book was just right in my opinion. Thank you #NetGalley and #Dreamscape Media for allowing me to listen to this pre-release audiobook. I really enjoyed it. Shakira Shute did a great job performing the book and I will definitely listen to her again.

What a fun light “listen”. A modern day royal/commoner love tangle. A perfect blend of angst and snark. All set amidst the gardens of a royal estate.

Great narration by Shakira Shute with a dreamy british accent. She handles multiple charachters beautifully. Thankyou to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC.

This was a clean romance (some kissing), written in dual points of view, but mostly from main character Lady Gabriella Hastings (not as much story told from Miles Kingsley, the gardener’s, point of view). Set in Contemporary England, it is a tale of aristocracy and commoner, the troubles of titles and staff, and it is the first in a new Emma Hart series that promises great things to come! Other characters (friends and siblings) are introduced with very interesting potential books. Solid 4-star here.

Narrated by Shakira Shute, a new-to-me British narrator, she does both character’s points of view, and differentiates their voices quite well. I was quite impressed with her performance. Another solid 4-star here for the narration.

This one starts out with the very important, daughter of a Duke, Gabby, giving online advice (anonymously of course), as Lady Love. She’s a bit much to handle at the start, being quite self-important! She’s also taking a course at school, for horticulture, and struggling a bit, which starts to make her more human. It’s suggested that she ask the gardener for help - Miles, the one who can’t stand to be around her, is quite rude, short in conversation skills towards her, and leaves her presence as fast as possible because he dislikes her so much - or does he? This tale discovers their forced proximity during a storm one night and what happens when he can’t escape from her.

I’m looking forward to the next couple books in the series which I believe follow her best friends and their love stories - they promise to be great as well!

I do recommend this one to everyone who enjoys a great, quick and clean romcom, as the story does go by fast, and no real angst or triggers to worry about with this one - just good fun!

I received an advance listening copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, and this is my honest feedback - thank you!

Thank you Net Galley for an audio ARC of Lady Love by Emma Hart. This was an ultra cute contemporary romance. The narrator was fantastic. This follows Lady Gabriela falling in love with Miles, the gardener. Too cute!

Loved! This was an absolutely cute love story. I adore a love story that includes modern-day aristocrats. Gabby is a true heart who is judged based on her lot in life all the time. All she wanted to do was create her plates sensations and live her life without the expectation of marrying up.

Miles has a crush on Gabby be he can't show it because she believes she is outside of his class. It was wholesome and great to watch Miles and Gabby come together and work out their differences.

This is for sure an enemy to lover story. Cute as hell

Loved that the narrators were British or able to do a great accent

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for an ALC of the audiobook via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Lady Love is a lovely escape of an audiobook, with a somewhat kooky and eccentric cast of characters and a picturesque village setting. Between her attempts to get the grumpy gardener to interact with her, the growing menagerie of unruly farm animals that her aunt is slowly sneaking onto the estate, the anonymous romance advice requests she fields online, and the horticulture course she is taking at the local college, Lady Gabriella Hastings has plenty to keep her busy on her beloved Arrowwood Hall estate.

With a runtime of 7 hours and 2 minutes, this audiobook is a lovely diversion for fans of British romantic comedies. Shakira Shute’s narration clearly differentiates the various voices and noticeably shifts to allow the reader to easily discern the characters’ interior monologues from dialogue between characters.

I look forward to reading the other books in The Aristocrat Diaries series.

At a glance:
- Primarily told from Gabriella’s POV, but there are a handful of chapters from Miles’s perspective.
- Grumpy-sunshine
- Class difference (aristocrat-commoner)
- Forced proximity
- Colorful cast of supporting characters
- Closed door

Content warning: classism

This is my first Emma Hart who appears to be a prolific writer with MANY books. I would say Hart seems to be an A+ writer at banter as I loved entire segments of almost entirely quotes. The book was fun and light hearted with almost no real big dramas or challenges for most of the characters which is pretty fine in such a short novel.

However, the issues that do arise seem off the wall and the most disappointing bit: no smut? I’ve read YA novels with more details of the naughty bits. I guess I shouldn’t assume romance has spice but dammit if I read about them flirting for so long I want there to be a ‘happy ending’.

Plot: Gabriella Hastings is a british aristocrat who is super into gardening and taking a class to become a garden designer (?- thats not the right words for that job…). Meanwhile, she continues to ask help from her very hot and quite surly gardener working for her estate. She also writes a relationship advice blog which has absolutely zero bearing on the plot and is kind of weird to even be included.

She lives with her eccentric and fun family that I probably could have spent most of the book with because I loved it. The love interest is a serviceable grump to her sunshine. Gabriella is likable even if a little too perfect and sweet.

I did find the conversations about classism to seem a little tone-deaf. They seem to have conversations about classism but never about money and how it might make life easier for her. It makes all the conflict seem disingenuous when money is literally never brought up as an issue, rather than her title and grounds.

But overall, it was cute. I imagine if you have read this author before you would like this one. I did really love the side characters in this. I think even more than the romance. But it was just generally fun and light.

Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for a review. I loved this narrator. Probably sold me on the whole book.

🎧Audiobook Review🎧

Lady Love by Emma Hart

A great story for someone who love an enemy to lovers story.

This was a solid romantic story taking place in modern day England. Very simple but sweet.

The love interest was a gardener and there was lots of garden and plant talk, which I actually really enjoyed!

The narration was great and it worked really well as an audiobook.

I gave this story 3⭐️

Thanks to #netgalley for a gifted copy of the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was a cute romantic story. I loved all the characters and their slow build. There was a ton of filler information but it didn’t distract from the story. The only critique is the lady love role made no connection to the story that was interesting enough on its own.

I enjoyed the lighthearted romance book about the titled Gabrielle and the Gardner Miles.
It touched on classes and how we perceive them. The conclusion is just what I wanted, but there were a few bumps on the road to get there.

3.25 ⭐

Lady Gabriella is a British Aristocrat and her father is a Duke who is looking to marry her off. But, she has her eye on the gardener of the estate, Miles. It seems as though Miles is always grumpy, avoiding and ignoring her and won't give her the time of day. Perhaps he has his own reasons for seeming that way...

I like that Gabriella is Lady Love with her own blog for advice, buuuuuttttt what is the reason for it? Was it just to step away and escape from what is expected of her as daughter of a Duke?

She is a strong willed character that knows what she wants. Miles is a quiet fella. There were a few parts with his pov, but not too many ~ I could have went for more.
I found her Aunt to be a super fun character. I love the names of the goats too!

Overall, this was an alright listen. Shakira Shute did a good job of narrating. It was a quick listen at 7 hours and 3 minutes, but I 2x it and it worked out well for me. I will probably read the rest of the series.

The first in a new series

Tropes- enemies to lovers, forbidden romance

Gabby, the daughter of a duke, has a crush on the grumpy gardener. The problem is- he hates her. One day, they are stranded together in a storm and forced to communicate. As Gabby gets to know Miles, she realizes he may not hate her as much as she thought.

This was a short, cute, funny read. The problem is that there are too many storylines for the length of the book. Most aspects feel underdeveloped. And, the part that gets me the most, is that there is a reason for the title of the book, but it is never fully explained. Gabby apparently runs an advice column (blog?), but you never learn why she does, how she began, or even why it is relevant to her story. A missed opportunity.

The characters were funny enough that I will continue to read the series, but I just hope the stories are better developed.

I listened to the audio version and really enjoyed Shakira Shute's performance.

Lady Love is the first book in Emma Hart’s The Aristocrat Diaries. Lady Gaby Hastings may be an aristocrat, but she knows that there is more to a person than their title. Miles Kingsley is Arrowwood Hall’s (the Hastings estate) gardener and as common as a commoner can get. Gaby needs Miles’ help as she’s doing a horticulture course and really wants to do well, because this is her passion. But how do you get the guy who can’t stand being in the same space as you to help? Oh, and Gaby has a massive crush on Miles.

Gaby is feisty, strong, smart, and witty. Miles is the strong silent type, at least until Gaby pushes him too far. The sparts and banter that fly between Miles and Gaby singe the page. Lady Love made me laugh out loud and touched my heart – there are several sweet scenes (and hot kissing scenes) between Miles and Gaby. Both their family dynamics were fun to read – especially the eccentric secondary characters. I would have liked more time in Miles’ point of view. I am looking forward to reading the remaining two books in the story and hopefully seeing more of Gaby and Miles.

I listened to this book on audio and enjoyed the narrator. She did various voices for the different characters with enough distinction that I knew when we had switched characters.

I received a free copy of this audio book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This one was just fun and cute. Gabby, AKA Lady Gabriella Hastings, is a woman on a mission. First, she has enrolled in a class of horticulture but the gardener will not let her in the greenhouse and second, her father is trying to marry her off to any one of the rich aristocrats and she is resisting. Oh, and she has a blog, Lady Love, which really does not come out anywhere in the book. Miles, the gardener is grumpy and handsome and finds Gabby way too delicious to have working with him but strikes up a bargain with her anyway. I found this one quite fun to listen to with the opposites attract banter and the sneaking around and all the British accents. I had this one in audio and loved it. Nothing dramatic about it.
