A Search for Redemption is the third book in Jo Ann Brown's Secrets of Bliss Valle series, Despite this - and never reading the first two -I was never lost. It stands great on it's own but if readers are looking for a series they can't go wrong with this one.

Joel Beachy returns to the Amish community of Bliss Valley a convisted felon. He has no plans to stay in a place he couldn't get away from but his options are limited. Joel just wants to find work and a chance at a better life. Neither one he believes he would get with the haughty condescention of the Bliss Valley community. That is until he meets Grace.

Grace Coffman is kind, non-judgemental, and doesn't make Joel feel worthless. This is not what he expected from anyone when he returns home. He feels comfortable around her. Grace feels comfortable in return. Comfortable enough to open up about losing her fiance, the pressure at work, and even her grief.

After some time Joel and Grace start to develop feelings. But as a ex-convict who escaped the Amish life Joel is not sure he is best for grace.

This book was fantastic. What a wonderful storyline. The book is about Grace who has lost her fiancé and is caring for her ill parents. She works in a Quilt shop with a very pushy boss. She meets Joel Beachy when a storm hits and everyone enters the store to get out of the rain. This is a beautiful story. It is about forgiveness and friendship. Its a story that has a storyline that keeps you reading and enjoying. How hardship and sadness can be overcome with caring people. When I started reading this book I could not put it down till I finished it. This belongs to a series which I will go back and read the others.
