I loved this book! The tension was exquisite, the romance perfect. The MC was flawed and worked on herself. There were hilarious parts and the ending is just brilliant.

This book is fantastic! I became so absorbed and invested in the characters and the storyline. I absolutely loved Amy Leas writing and I can’t wait for her next book!

I loved this completely! It was refreshing to read a book where the protagonist was continually self-reflective and realised her own flaws. The enemies to lovers trope is always a win too & I loved the awkward family dinner!

So good! I knew I was going to love this the moment I opened the book but it surpassed my expectations.

Fitness, romance, and sassy - perfect! I can't wait to read another book like this!

This was a bit of me 😍 it’s sexy, it’s feminist, it’s so easy to get lost into and I loved it! Curvy fitness influencer Crystal and her gym nemesis Scott were so cute and I loved the whole story. With any kind of romcom, there’s always some kind of predictability but this was honestly such a lovely read. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Ahhh this book was okay. It was very predictable, but was overall an enjoyable read. It was quite well paced, and had mild amounts of spice.

Set on You is SO FREAKING CUTE!! Scott is adorable!! And I loved how confident within herself Crystal was! The honest take on the toxicity of social media and its affect on Crystal was heart breaking but dealt with respectfully. I loved the back and forth banter with Scott and how protective he became. Set on You was such a cute easy read.

I've been seeing this all over TikTok and Instagram, and I can definitely see why it was so hyped up. We had enemies to lovers, we had grumpy MC, what more do we need? Definitely recommend reading, it was such a nice easy summer read.

Not for me unfortunately. Read too many enemies to lovers books of late and they are all too samey at this point. Did not finish.

A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve had this arc for several months now, but did not pick it up until yesterday. Which was weird since I was over the moon happy to be accepted for an arc.
But now that I’ve finally read it I can recommend it to everyone I meet. Set on you was a great romance with amazing characters and a couple to die for.
I’m so used to the third act breakup lasting for ever, but thankfully this was not the case. Highly recommend to any Chris Evans fans

As her debut novel, Set On You is a fresh take on the romance genre with body positivity, love and much more. Excited to see what Lea does next!

Enjoyable romance read! Especially enjoyed the all bodies are beautiful approach. I wasn't sure how the author was going to handle this but it was with a light humourous touch without avoiding more serious aspects.

* 3.5 stars.

This was a cute read, but with a plus sized main character and a love interest canonically confirmed to resemble Chris Evans, I didn't love it as much I thought I would. I think the problem was having relationship conflict for the sake of needing it for the plot of the book, when it could have been resolved easily with communication, which is my pet peeve in the romance genre. Overall a fine read, and an extra half star for the dog.

(Many thanks to Netgalley and Penguin General UK for the eARC.)

Crystal is a body positive social influencer and PT who spends all of her free time in the gym and in cyber land. However, when a new guy turns up at her gym, steals her machine & generally disrupts her workouts she starts to question everything.

Although this is a typical age old girl meets boy, boys a jerk, girl likes boy, boy messes up kind of story, I found the influencer and body positivity aspects so refreshing. I really enjoyed it and if you’re looking for an easy breezy summer read this might be what you need!

Plot, concept and FMC were something I was really looking forward to but I ended up DNFing. I couldn't get into it, the MMC and romance didn't grip me and I just kept putting it down and picking it up trying to force myself to read it.
I've seen so many good reviews for this, so I'm sad I couldn't get into it. Will try again in the future.

I found this to be a slow start but as soon as Scott showed up at the engagement party, I was hooked. I really enjoyed this story, the way that the character's different insecurities played out through the book was amazing.

A solid debut following Crystal and Scott. I liked that it started with Crystal owning that she is a curvy girl and Scott not trying to change her but accepting her as she is and celebrating her successes and cheering her on. It was a very mild enemies to lovers. The enemies part didn't last overly long and they transition to friends before anything else. They end up in a sticky situation due to family which is overcome without too much drama. I did feel Scott's big reveal after the half way point was somewhat of a let down I think I was expecting more. I would have liked to have seen a bit more interaction between the pair rather than being told about what they had done as didn't quite feel the connection when it was time for love confessions. This didn't stop my enjoyment of the story. I really liked both our main characters. Scott was such a sweetie once we got to know him and Crystal felt real. She owns her curves yet is human and hs insecurities at times too. She felt very authentic. Great story great characters and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next from this author

Lets start with the positives; I love the rep for for plus sized main character and not fitting the beauty standard, and I think that was handled very well and sensitively in this story. I liked the family characters and dynamics and this was some fun escapism and great for a debut novel. I also am glad it wasn't Dual POV because that always takes away tension!
However the romance wasn't my fav, Scott wasn't very dimensional and a personal gripe is the multiple use of miscommunication trope. having said that it was an enjoyable quick read with some funny and fun moments and slightly different from what we always see! Thanks to Netgalley for the arc.

(ad-pr product)

4⭐️’s

This book follows Crystal Chen who is a fitness influencer who loves all things to do with the gym. During her normal work out she bumps in to Scott and things are about to get a bit confusing!

Set on You is a lighthearted, easy to read book. Romance is one of my favourite genres and I managed to read this in a couple of days, I found it hard to put down!

I loved the focus on the importance of self love and also that there was a sneaky mention of bookstagram in there!

Thank you @penguinukbooks @vikingbooksuk for sending me a copy and also letting me read this on @netgalley

Set on You is out now!
