Rarity is beginning anew as a bookstore owner and cancer survivor in Arizona when one of her book club members is found murdered. While Rarity and her good friend, Sam, investigate, Drew, the local detective, tries to discourage them from being involved. I really enjoyed meeting these characters and I hope Lynn Cahoon has more adventures planned for them.

This was a quick, fun read that completely lived up to its cozy mystery moniker! Rarity, a new bookseller in a small town, sets up a book club for cancer survivors, and they find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery. I loved our protagonist, who approached situations like trying to keep peace in book club discussions, turning down dates, and going undercover to investigate leads in such a mature, real way. Her sweet friendship with Sam and her growing relationships with other people in town were really rewarding to follow, and Lynn Cahoon beautifully weaved in more poignant threads of life after surviving cancer too.

This was a quick, light read. It is cozy with likable characters, and plenty of twists. I found myself unable to put this book down. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next in the series

I received a copy of The Tuesday Night Survivors’ Club through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I loved The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club Mystery by Lynn Cahoon! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could! It has everything I love about cozy mysteries including wonderful characters, friendship, humor, a little (clean) romance and an interesting mystery! Rarity Jones recently moved to Sedona, Arizona to open a book store and start the next segment of her life after surviving breast cancer. Her best friend Samantha (Sam) owns a shop nearby. Rarity decides to start a book club with the focus on cancer surviver support calling it The Tuesday Night Survivors' Book Club. The first week only one lady comes but the next week several ladies come. They all hit it off except one lady, Martha, who isn't very friendly. After the meeting, Martha goes missing. The Book Club gets involved with trying to find Martha and then finding out what happened to her. Rarity and Sam meet Drew, a local police detective and Drew's best friend Archer who is a hiking guide. The characters are likable, realistic, and interesting. I guessed the culprit but wasn't sure until near the end. Cancer survival is obviously an intricate part of the book but it doesn't overshadow the story or characters and is portrayed in a positive light. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and can't wait for the next one! #NetGalley #TheTuesdayNightSurvivorsClub #Lynn Cahoon

I received a copy of The Tuesday Night Survivors’ Club through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

The Tuesday Night Survivors’ Club by Lynn Cahoon is the first in the new Survivors’ Book Club Mystery series. In this mystery, Rarity Jones, a Sedona book shop owner and breast cancer survivor, starts a book club for cancer survivors. When one of the group turns up dead, the survivors book club turns into more of an investigation club and the group starts to track down the killer.

I am a fan of Lynn Cahoon’s different mystery series in general and I enjoyed The Tuesday Night Survivors’ Club like any of her other books. The survivors book club is a totally new take on cozy mystery sleuthing and I definitely enjoyed this new angle. The characters are fun to get to know and the Sedona setting is inviting. I enjoyed reading this mystery and am excited to see what might come next in this new series. The only thing I found a annoying was the focus on privacy and sharing information at the start of Rarity’s Survivors’ Club, she is set in keeping everything strictly professional, but I feel like if someone in the group wants to share their phone number with the others or hold back certain personal info because they are no comfortable, that should be up to them, not the book club runner. That’s just a personal opinion, but Rarity’s obsession with this when the club first starts was a little much for me and took away from the overall mystery vibe. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this new series and can’t wait to see what comes next for Rarity and company.

Good start to a new series. I have enjoyed reading Lynn Cahoon's other series, so was eager to try this one. It did not disappoint. As a cancer survivor it had special appeal, but the story was so much more than that. Gorgeous location. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

To start, I loved the premise of this series, a cancer survivors book club. I can tell this will be a wonderful way to read about strong friendships amongst the members. This is a huge bonus for me in cozy mysteries & is always something I hope for. Cahoon does a beautiful job of making each character stand out & individualising them. Our lead character Rarity is a positive one, she’s very clever & steps up to help a lot. The other club members are intriguing & I’m looking forward to reading more about them. I love the support they give one another. A lot happens in just one book, we’re introduced to many characters & businesses I imagine will be returned to in the future. This is an absolutely perfect start to a series, it has lots of promise & I hope there’s more books to come!

A very different mystery from Lynn Cahoon. First in the series, Rarity had moved to Sedona and opened a book store. When one of her survivors club members goes missing, they decide to investigate. A more serious book.

I've read several of Lynn Cahoon's other cozy mystery series and really enjoyed them so I was excited to start the first volume in a new murder mystery. The Surviors' Book Club is a creative twist and I really liked the characters. There were plenty of suspects and it took me a bit to figure out the culprit but I was entertained along the way. I'm anxious for the next book.

I throughly enjoyed this first story in popular Author Lynn Cahoon’s “A Survivors’ Book Club Mystery” series. The story expresses a lot of heart and compassion between the pages as the topic of cancer is gently discussed, as well as laying out a solid, entertaining mystery to follow.

Rarity Cole is a breast cancer survivor. She recently opened a bookstore, The Next Chapter, in downtown Sedona, Arizona. Her best friend, Sam Aarons, owns the crystal shop next door. Only one person attends Rarity’s first book club meeting on Tuesday night—Shirley—another breast cancer survivor. The next week, more survivors join. When an attendee goes missing, Drew Anderson with the Sedona Police questions Rarity, who barely knew the person, Martha; yet offers to foster her dog, Killer, until the woman is located. Killer is just too cute a pet character. 🥰

The plot is engaging and the main characters affable and relatable as the story moves along. Rarity begins to make new friends and a possible romantic interest in a trail hiker leader, Archer Ender. Rarity and Sam go undercover at an “alternative healing” spa the deceased was a frequent visitor to, and confirm something is “off” about the supposed cures they offer to cancer patients and survivors. The author neatly ties all the ends together to reveal the callous killer. I highly recommend this enjoyable cozy.

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Kensington Lyrical Publishing. All opinions are my own. Thank you.

Survivors become sleuths to find a missing member of their book club in new-age Sedona, New Mexico….. Everything an old-fashioned sleuthing ought to be… I flew through the pages! Utterly delightful!…

The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club has Rarity devoting her life to helping others find their way through the maze to healing. She's opened a bookstore focusing on the power of healing, the healing power of food, the power of meditation, and the importance of developing a support community.

To that end, she's also started the Tuesday Night Survivors book club. But their therapeutic unity is disrupted when one of their members suddenly goes missing. Martha a loner is nowhere to be found. With her car abandoned on a trail and her dog left with a friend, Rarity is sure something terrible had happened.

The author has weaved a great mystery. It keeps you guessing until the very end and the characters are believable. Her stories are always a great read!

Rarity has finished a year of breast cancer treatment. Along the way she lost a fiancé (not a big loss from the sound of it). Rarity has opened a bookstore in Sedona Arizona. She is struggling to make the business profitable. One idea she has is to start a book club for cancer survivors. Martha, one of the members, goes missing and the club decides to investigate. Along the way, Rarity and Sam befriend the local police detective and a local hiking instructor. As Rarity and the group investigate, Rarity discovers she has more friends in Sedona than she thought. I love Lynn Cahoon’s writing. Although this is a Cancer Survivor’s Club Mystery, there isn’t anything focused on cancer or death. I’m looking forward to more learning more about the lives of the characters in this series.

I adore Lynn Cahoon's books so when I saw she had a brand new series coming out I knew I needed to read it. This one did not disappoint! Readers are going to adore these characters and have so much fun cracking the case right alongside them!

My first book by Lynn Cahoon, I enjoyed the direct and opinionated Rariety, a bookshop owner and cancer survivor in Sedona Arizona. While the scenery takes a back seat, the feelings and mechanics of being a cancer survivor are well described in this serviceable mystery, wherein a book club decides to investigate the death of one of their members. A cute dog, several bland romantic interests and a fortune teller round out the cast.

In this mystery, the owner of a new bookstore starts a book club for cancer survivors. Soon, other events unfold and the book club turns into an amateur sleuthing team! I always enjoy a good book themed mystery, but sadly, the discussions about books were pretty minimal. I thought the characters were well developed, but often unrealistic. There is a police officer who seems way too open to having non-police officers involved in the investigation and also sometimes oblivious to things you think he would have found out or pursued.

This was a quick, light read. I found it somewhat predictable so the solution to the mystery seemed like a foregone conclusion. But the characters and setting were fun and have potential to be part of more fun mysteries as the series continued, now that the setting and scene have been set.

The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club Mystery (Survivors' Book Club Mystery #1) by Lynn Cahoon is a new series with a wonderful cast of friends who are brought together through their recovery from breast cancer and a new book club. Rarity Jones survived having breast cancer, but her relationship with her fiancé did not. So, Rarity moves to Sedona, AZ and opens a book shop. She decides to start a book club for women in the area who want to offer support and friendship to other survivors. She only had one woman to attend the first meeting. Each week the attendance increases, and the women all are happy with their new friendships except for noticeably quiet Martha. She rarely comments and leaves as soon as the meetings are over. Martha misses a meeting and the women become concerned about her. Rarity is told that Martha is missing, her car abandoned, and her dog needs a home until this mystery can be solved. The women decide to look for Martha and solve this mystery and soon find out that Martha has been murdered. Now the 'girls' are on a mission to find out who killed Martha! There may be romance in the air for Rarity as she delves into this new chapter of her life.

This is the first book in a new series. Rarity, a breast cancer survivor, moves to a small town in Arizona and buys a bookstore. She decides to start a book club/support group for cancer survivors like herself. When one of the new members brings in a young woman who was newly diagnosed she bends the rules and allows her best friend Sam to join as well.
When one of the members, Martha, is murdered, the women decide to start sleuthing. The trail leads to a semi-local spa that promises an unconventional cure for cancer. With the help of a local detective and a trail guide who Rarity is interested in they start unraveling a thread that will lead them to the killer.
It's a great start to new series, and i'm looking forward to more adventures for Rarity, Sam and the other members.
