This is a really good YA thriller book! I find that it is one of the better one given the recent ones over the year.s

I really enjoyed this book! It kept me on my toes and had me trying to guess who was responsible! I had a hunch about the ending, but my mind had so many theories and there was a ton of misdirection. Definitely one to read!

Well THAT didn't go quite how I expected! I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley (Thank you!) before realizing it was a YA book. I was a bit hesitant but I'm glad I decided to give it a fair chance because I've read David Bell books before and enjoyed his writing. It was a quick, fast paced, well-written book. There were some twists and turns I didn't see shaking out the way they did. The book ended with satisfying closure, I don't care much for open endings personally, and I really enjoyed the ride. 4.5 stars for me. I would recommend it to any age reader, don't let the young adult label deter you.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of YA murder mysteries. This book did a really good job of casting doubt on several people and not making it easy to guess what happened. The ending and twist were more sad than shocking for me, but I thought it made sense for the story and was a unique way to go. I really enjoyed Hunter’s narration and POV and I also really loved his relationship with his dad and sister. There were a few things that felt like they were made to be ominous simply for the sake of being ominous and I thought further explanation would have been great, specifically with Hunter’s friends. Overall, I enjoyed the book and I’m glad I read it, but I wasn’t necessarily hooked on it. I will definitely be picking up more of Bell’s books in the future because I did really enjoy his writing style!

As a thriller reader, I enjoyed this title. The pace was perfect and there were enough twists to keep me guessing.

This is an enjoyable young adult thriller. Hunter, who has a concussion and memory loss, is being accused of hurting his missing girlfriend. We watch him with the help of his younger sister, try to put together what happened that night and where Chloe is. He is a likeable character and we are rooting for their relationship and her safe return.

David Bell has done it again with She’s Gone. . I have enjoyed so many of his other books and was thrilled to find this one just as enjoyable. This one is a page turner from start to finish. The pacing was great and I loved the short chapters. Looking forward to more from the author.

I love this author and this was a great YA read (but easily can be enjoyed by adult readers without feeling like they are reading YA). I loved the mystery and it kept me guessing until the end. I thought the twist was well done and unexpected. The short chapters are great and I love the author's writing style.

This book wasn’t for me. I found the plot and the characters lacking. I had a really hard time getting into this book.

I would describe this as Gone Girl done right. The twists will almost give you whiplash they’re so good and you just never see them coming. At times the main character can get on your nerves- but he is a teenager, so I suppose that’s his mission in life. All around a great read that I devoured quickly.

A read in one sitting Young Adult mystery from David Bell, extremely addictive, a classic page turner.

A car accident, a missing girl and a loss of memory sets the scene for a twisty thriller that is utterly gripping first page to last.

The writing is immersive and the characters intriguing plus it really is unpredictable and the finale is equal to the rest of the narrative.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Sometimes Young Adult Mysteries outdo their Adult counterparts. Recommended.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Fire, and David Bell for the advanced copy of She's Gone in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars rounded up.

I have really been getting more into YA thrillers/horror lately and I'm really glad! They don't always have the "holy s!@t" reveals, but I find them to be super fast-paced and interesting. I'm happy to say "She's Gone" delivers on all fronts there!

There were a couple plot points that were easily predicted, but again, I was so entertained while reading it didn't really bother me! I'll definitely be reading more by David Bell in the future.

Thank you to David Bell, Sourcebooks Fire, and NetGalley for a digital ARC of She's Gone!

This book follows a high school student, Hunter, who woke up in the hospital with memory loss after a car accident where his high school girlfriend, Chloe, went missing. Hunter feels helpless because he can't remember anything about that night, but he tries to figure out what happened to Chloe. He sends out a video trying to showcase his innocence and ask people for help trying to find Chloe, but it has the opposite effect. With the help of his awesome younger sister, her girlfriend, and his childhood best friend, Hunter tries to uncover clues that could lead to what happened to Chloe before someone else ends up dead.
I really enjoyed this book! It is a great mystery with so many twists and turns trying to figure out who is responsible for Chloe's disappearance. It had me suspicious of everyone and constantly changing my opinion on who I thought was the murderer. The ending was very shocking and sad, but that made the book different from others like it. I would highly recommend this to any teen or person who likes to read young adult mystery/thrillers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for allowing me to read the eARC of this title.

First let me say I LOVED this book. It is a great mystery and keeps you guessing right up to the end.

Unfortunately, I cannot purchase this book for my high school library. In chapter 33, the author describes a sexual encounter between Hunter and Chloe. This description violates the obscenity clause of the Texas Penal Code.

Without this description, I would have given this book 5 stars, but since I cannot safely purchase this book, I am giving it only 3.

One of Bell’s best. Chloe and Hunter are both seniors in high school and very much in love by all accounts. After the homecoming dance the car they are driving is wrecked into a tree and Hunter has turned up at the hospital with no memory of the crash and no memory of where Chloe is. As the town and police question Hunter and whether he is being honest about his memory loss, the students at school start blaming him including one of his former best friends who is making a movie about the mystery. Taught, edge of your seat thriller that is impossible to put down.

Hunter wakes in the hospital after an accident on homecoming night, with no memory and his girlfriend missing. On a mission to bring back his memory and find his girlfriend what else will Hunter uncover?
David bell has quickly become a new favourite author for me. This YA murder mystery whodunnit kept me hooked from the very beginning. It constantly made me question different characters, not having a concrete answer in my head until three quarters of the way through. A very well constructed murder mystery leaving the reader guessing the whole time.
A well developed back story of the main characters, but this left little room for a detailed finale. Overall, the book kept me engaged the whole time and makes me look forward to reading more of Bell’s work.

A big Thankyou to Netgalley and the author for providing me an ARC for my honest review.

I love David Bell and of course a fast paced thriller so I danced when I got this book. A huge thanks to Sourcebooks Fire for my complimentary copy.

The book follows Hunter who gets a rude awakening after Homecoming. At Homecoming Chloe and Hunter are driving home when they get into an accident and smash into a trees. What bewiles him is that he cannot remember what happened that night. What do you do when everyone thinks you did it? You solve the case yourself or you watch it work itself out? The chapters were well organized and the whodunit factor was unexpected. I love it.

Another winner by David Bell! "She's Gone" was a quick, suspense-filled read and I loved every minute of it.

Another usual hit for David Bell! This had short chapter and was easy to speed read.

I really liked the depth of family dynamics and all of the different modern aspects to solving a mystery. You have Tik Toks, documentaries and doxing. Think of it as a hot mess express witch hunt that happens so frequently on social media these days.

Nailed it with this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for the free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a really smooth and ligth read. I always love when a books has short chapters, with well done cliffhangers and plot-twists, and this one didn´t dissapointed!

Every character seemed suspicious to me, and I had a many theories going around in my head, so I couldn´t stop reading until I found out what had happened to Chloe.

However, i wasn´t a big fan of Hunter´s character and actions. he simply didn´t really click with me.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is on the hunt for a light and intriguing read, or someone who is going through a reading slump and wants to read a page-turning book!

Thank you so much NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!
