I love David Bell and of course a fast paced thriller so I danced when I got this book. A huge thanks to Sourcebooks Fire for my complimentary copy.
The book follows Hunter who gets a rude awakening after Homecoming. At Homecoming Chloe and Hunter are driving home when they get into an accident and smash into a trees. What bewiles him is that he cannot remember what happened that night. What do you do when everyone thinks you did it? You solve the case yourself or you watch it work itself out? The chapters were well organized and the whodunit factor was unexpected. I love it.

Another winner by David Bell! "She's Gone" was a quick, suspense-filled read and I loved every minute of it.

Another usual hit for David Bell! This had short chapter and was easy to speed read.
I really liked the depth of family dynamics and all of the different modern aspects to solving a mystery. You have Tik Toks, documentaries and doxing. Think of it as a hot mess express witch hunt that happens so frequently on social media these days.
Nailed it with this one!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for the free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a really smooth and ligth read. I always love when a books has short chapters, with well done cliffhangers and plot-twists, and this one didn´t dissapointed!
Every character seemed suspicious to me, and I had a many theories going around in my head, so I couldn´t stop reading until I found out what had happened to Chloe.
However, i wasn´t a big fan of Hunter´s character and actions. he simply didn´t really click with me.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is on the hunt for a light and intriguing read, or someone who is going through a reading slump and wants to read a page-turning book!
Thank you so much NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Woo, always very happy when I discover a new author that pleasantly surprised me. This is the first book I read by David Bell, and it was quite enjoyable.
I haven't read much thriller written from a teenage boy's perspective, where he's trying to solve the mystery so bonus points for that. I also was really glad that he had a close- knitted support network of friends and family, as opposed to most teenage girl thriller where they have to do everything by themselves.
The villain was very very predictable but it didn't bother me.

She’s Gone is a book about a missing girl and the boy who is presumed to know the answers. I’ve read a few David Bell books before and really enjoyed them, but this one just didn’t do it for me.
I enjoyed the plot and thought it was a nice change to have the story told from the POV of a teen boy. Olivia was a great character as well. I did enjoy that the characters who were teens spoke and acted like teens.
Maybe it’s because it’s written from the POV as a teenager, but I couldn’t seem to really click with the story or the characters. I felt like a lot of the interactions between characters were forced and not well planned. I also think there were some loose ends that just sort of hung out. And I hated that we didn’t really get to know Chloe until the very end after we find out what happened. I would have loved to learn more about Chloe throughout the book. I felt like I was just rooting for the story to be over rather than rooting for Chloe.

A suspenseful YA about a teen who lost his memory in a car accident. It was a little predictable in some ways but still kept me on my toes. I was able to empathize with the main character which helps draw me in to the book. I loved the little sister. I wish the dad had been developed a little more; the absent-minded personality trait didn't always match his actions, but I appreciate the support he had for Hunter. Overall, an enjoyable read that I'd purchase for our teen collection.

Overall, I didn't love this one. However, my students are devouring this genre, and even though I didn't love She's Gone, it does fill a need in my collection. I will most likely purchase this one when it's available.

On the way to home after homecoming, Hunter Gifford and his girlfriend Chloe were in the car when the accident happened but Chloe was never found and the only person who knows about her whereabouts is Hunter who loses his memory of everything that happened on that day.
Now the police cannot find Chloe and they have only one person in doubt that is Hunter. However hunter tries to rewind that day, he never understand how the crash happened and why Chloe is not found.Going to school has become a difficulty as everyone is looking him through the eyes of a killer. The only people who believes in him is his family and close friends but when he finds that he was very angry and arguing on the night of homecoming he himself doesn't know what to believe.
My thoughts:
The book is very fast paced and thrilling from the very start. It was easy to read through that the language is very simple and the book is structured in such a way that we keep turning the pages. This is the book that hooks you from he beginning to end.As for me the story was average and the plot twists were predictable. The character felt very dumb sometimes and that was a little irritating for me.The journey throughout was fun and enjoyable.
Overall a fast paced thriller any beginner can pickup and read it in one sitting.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND THE PUBLISHER FOR THIS REVIEW COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.
Hunter woke up at the hospital with some blind spots in his memory. He and his girlfriend, Chloe, were in an accident and can't remember anything about it, Chloe is missing and no one knows what happened to her. Hunter is obviously a suspect in the eyes of everyone but he is helpless and desperately wants to figure out what happened that night.
The story was exciting and able to keep me hooked, but at the same time, the first half of the book was lacking that mystery element that motivate the reader to finish the book. I felt that story was more focused on family dynamics and people related to Hunter which is not a bad thing but I felt the balance wasn't there. However, the chapters were short and easy to follow. The story seemed to be more suitable for a young audience. The ending felt rushed and left me wanting more human emotions.

She’s Gone by David Bell is an intriguing story designed to keep the reader guessing throughout the novel. It is well written and concerns an auto accident involving a missing girl and her boyfriend who cannot remember anything that happened when he awakens in a hospital.
There are vivid descriptions of the reactions of the parents of the missing girl, the students at the high school and the people who live in the town - all of whom consider the boyfriend guilty of some sort of criminal undertaking.
Having never read a previous book by David Bell, I can honestly say that I am now looking forward to his next novel. I thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for the opportunity to read and review the b which I wholeheartedly recommend to all.

Thank you so much for allowing me to read and review your titles. I really not the opportunity!
I do appreciate it and continue to review books that I get the chance to read.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5 Stars!
Seventeen year old Hunter Gifford awakens from a coma after an auto accident after Homecoming. He cannot remember anything including where is Chloe Summer, his girlfriend, Chloe. He is sure she was with him in the car as several of her things are in the car but
~ where is she, and
~ what caused the accident?
Hunter is trying to put together the pieces of what happened that night. He posts a video but it only creates more negative things about him. He starts asking a lot of question. He finds out things that happen before the accident that he doesn’t like.
The mystery is solved and it was a surprise for me.
This story is a quick read - .that kept me curious.
Love the short chapters. I am a reader who likes to finish a chapter before closing the book. In this case, I kept saying ~Okay ~ One more Chapter ~ etc.
Want to thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for this early eGalley!
Publishing Release Date scheduled for November 1, 2022

This is a quick read with a lots of twists, I read it in one sitting. Great creepy atmosphere and real life characters.

When Hunter and his girlfriend go to homecoming The night ends with a car crash his missing girlfriend and his loss memories of that night. Like most emotionally high situations people take sides but when his childhood best friend Daniel decides to make a documentary about it he winds up dead and that only adds to the intrigue. The investigation will uncover unknown threat's and a teenage boy who will uncover it all! This book was so good I especially love the ending which I won’t say here because I don’t want to spoil it. I loved Hunter‘s dad his sister Olivia these were some great characters in an even better plot. If you love crime mysteries that are seemingly unsolvable or not predictable you will love“She’s gone!“ I have never read a book by David Bell before, but will definitely be looking for his books in the future. I received this book from NetGalley in the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own. This truly and honestly it was a great book!

David Bell! I have read every single book by him and he is never ever disappointing his readers! He is my most favorite male writer and I look forward to every book he has coming out! He is a staple in my bookshelf!

I was engrossed from start to finish; such a well-crafted, thrilling and moving story surely marks this author as an author to watch. I can't wait for more!

🎥 The book follows Hunter Gifford who wakes up in a hospital after a car crash. He has no memory of the accident. Her girlfriend Chloe’s blood is found in the car but there is no trace of her. The whole town blames Hunter for Chloe’s disappearance as missing woman’s boyfriend is always a person of interest. Is Hunter actually responsible or is there someone else involved?
🎥 This book is definitely for you if you like:
📌 YA books
📌 Nail biting suspense
📌 Twists and turns
📌 Unreliable narrator
📌 Memory loss
📌 Short chapters
🎥 This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning and the suspense literally kept me at the edge of my seat. And I didn’t realise I was holding my breath during many tensed scenes in the book. However I was disappointed by the ending because when the book is this good you expect the ending to be mind blowing. But that wasn’t the case as I already figured out the ending twist. But that didn’t stop me either from enjoying this book to the fullest.
🎥 Thanks NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

Hunter wakes up in the hospital to find out he was in a car accident and let his girlfriend (Chloe) was also in the car but they didn’t find her at the scene of the accident. Hunter has to piece together the night from that memory’s he has and that are coming back to him. What actually happened that night? And where is Chloe?!
This is a fast paste must read YA Novel. I was so lucky to read an advance copy thanks to Netgalley.

This was an interesting quick read. Although there were twists and turns, I just gave this book 3 out of 5 stars. I foudn the main character not likable.
