I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Easy Homemade Bread is a delicious recipe book for beginners to learn how to make their own bread, from scratch.
This book sets out all the basics you need to know in a really easy to follow and understand format. The book has 150 mouthwatering bread recipes and even includes some gluten free ones and kneed free ones for a quick bread. I can't wait to try out some of these recipes and hope they're as delicious as they look! The book has photographs to accompany most of the recipes/breads which is always a winner for me with cookbooks.

Talk about the only cookbook you’ll need for all things bread! There’s so many different recipes in each category. It really is a complete guide to baking bread.

An expansive cookbook on Bread making. I like how many types of breads were included like muffins, bagels, cinnamon rolls, cornbread and doughnuts. I've always wanted to learn how to make sour-bread starter, and was excited when I saw the recipes. There are a wide variety of different recipes that I will make like pizza crust and hushpuppies. I would have liked more recipes on basic bread instead of the whole spectrum of bread. Visually the cookbook is very nice with many pictures. It was an interesting addition for gluten free and no kneed bread recipes, which I normally would not make. Overall a cookbook for basic recipes of all types of bread.

Easy Homemade Breads is exactly what it says. Hudson has put together a set of recipes that are simple and range from sliced bread loaves, no-knead bread, muffins, quick bread, special breads, etc. I love that she has taken the basic recipes like the no-knead bread loaf and then expanded and given you various options of what to do with that loaf like using fillings or different flours without making them harder.

There are so many bread varieties in the book that I cannot wait to make but I think top of the list will actually be the recipes like scones or soft pretzels.

An amazing book of bread recipes that make it all look so easy. And with this book, it will be much easier. Perfect for beginners who wants to learn to make their own breads. Love the detail, the photos, and over 100 different recipes! When I first saw it said 150 recipes for the beginner baker, I thought yeah probably the same type of recipes, just different versions. Like white bread and then white bread with honey or something like that. But no, these are actual completely different types of breads, doughs, muffins, and even sweet breads to satisfy anyone's craving for bread, and baking. Loved the simplicity this book provides for baking bread. Definitely a keeper.

This book is exactly what I was looking for! I've been wanting to make my own bread at home but was too nervous. This book explains everything in detail-from different flours to the best oils to use when baking. The no-knead breads are the best. I have yet to try a sourdough recipe, but I will definitely use this cookbook when I decide to give it a go.

I really enjoyed how there were numerous kinds of bread recipes. Such as pizza crust, fruit and nut bread, flatbreads, muffins, scones, and your stereotypical sandwich bread! I can't wait to try even more recipes from this cookbook!

For me personally, I think the words "easy" and "beginner" in the title of this book are slightly misleading. I'm a fairly experienced home baker and I found I had to use alot of my own instincts and things I'd done with previous bread/ baking recipes when making the Hot Cross Buns from this book. As with any recipe, you will always need to tweak the recipe to your own tastes after you have made the recipe for the first time. The Hot Cross Bun recipe was good, dont get me wrong, but I found the kneading time to be alot less and the amount of milk needed in the recipe to be alot more! I think you can only know this as someone who has baked before, certainly on my first time of baking I wouldnt have had a clue and I would have relied heavily on the recipe so perhaps with the milk specifically, the recipe could have given a larger amount and warned you may not need all of the milk. Maybe I'm just being picky,
I'm an english person reviewing this book so the term "all purpose flour" I had to google. I expected to be told what the UK equivalent to it might be as there is a UK/USA conversion chart in the back of the book for weights and measurements. As a note, this was one part of the book I loved as not all cookbooks help you with conversions.
Overall not the best cook book I've seen but a good basis if you are making a new recipe and only want the recipe for the quantity of ingredients and cooking time,

Loaded with numerous styles of bread and their recipes. I appreciated the thorough section on how to knead bread dough that included excellent instructions and pictures. I also appreciated the author including a metric conversion chart at the end of the book.

Table of contents include:

An Introduction to Bread Basics
Classic Breads
No-Knead Breads
Sourdough Breads
Buns & Rolls
Quick Breads
Flatbread & Crackers
Muffins & Scones
Biscuits & Cornbread
Boiled Breads: Bagels, Pretzels & Dumplings
Doughnuts & Other Fried Breads
Gluten-Free Breads

For this review, I opted to make the Hot Cross Buns. They were sweet, but not overly sweet, and slightly fluffy, yet dense. They reminded me of dinner rolls but of course sweeter. The directions were quite clear and easy to follow, the kneading was quick, and the rolls only required a couple of hours of rising.

If you are interested in trying out numerous bread recipes, this book is for you. Easy to follow directions with numerous pics.

Delicious!! And so simple! Bread is my downfall. Both my love, and something I can’t seem to do. But this made it so simple with all the tricks and troubleshooting listed and easily accessible.

Easy homemade bread lives up to the title. It is a step by step guide to bread making. It’s ingredients are easily found. The breads are simple and could be made daily. I tried the whole wheat loaf, it was a fun project. The pictures enhance the experience. The language was straight forward. It allowed you to accentuate the bread and put your own twist on the bread. It also troubleshoots for you. Happy reading

This cookbook is all, and I mean ALL, you will ever need to have in your home for making breads, muffins, pitas, cornbreads and all the other delucious foods.

I saved sooo many recipes from this book and will soon be making all those delicious muffins and tortillas.

I love my carbs, and the recipes in this book were right up my alley. I can’t wait to try the braided bread, I’ve seen a lot of tutorials for it and this book may be my opportunity to try making it for myself. I love that it has so many different recipes, including sweets like doughnuts. The way the instructions are presented also make it easier, in my opinion. It basically baby steps you through the bread making process, which is what a first time bread maker is looking for.

I am super excited about this book. There are so many breads that sound delicious. The no knead section really caught my attention. The iced cinnamon rolls and apple quick bread are on my list to try this week.

Thank you for the advanced copy!

This is an easy to follow recipe book that would work for beginners but also has something for the more experienced baker. Everything is clearly laid out and offers much more than bread recipes. A great addition to any cook book collection.

I love that this book is geared towards beginners but still includes so many different styles of bread and types of recipes. There are a couple of intro pages on bread baking, including info on flours and fats. Some of the recipes (outside the gluten free chapter) use alternative flours. The GF chapter also includes formulas for flour mixes.
Recipes are in chapters on Classic Breads; No-Knead Breads; Sourdough; Buns & Rolls; Quick Breads; Flatbread & Crackers; Muffins & Scones; Biscuits & Cornbread; Boiled Breads - Bagels, Pretzels, & Dumplings; Doughnuts & Other Fried Breads, and Gluten-Free Breads.
The book has a lot of nice color photos. This seems like a great collection of starter bread recipes to get some practice and make things people are consuming more frequently.

This is a really nice bread baking book and especially for beginners. The recipes, techniques and tips are very clear and the steps are well explained. The pictures are great and helpful to know what the finished product should look like.
What I really liked about this book was the range of recipes it covers. Of course it has the traditional breads, including the sourdough which is not so easy to get into but well explained here. But it also has quite a few no-knead breads, gluten free breads, biscuits and crackers. It is a really nice way to get started and to experiment different techniques and styles of breads. The recipes do not rely on the use of too much equipment and this is also a plus for beginner bakers as they can explore a lot before deciding what more advanced equipment they might like to add to their kitchen.
There are many books about baking bread but I think this one is definitely a good one for those who like to get started successfully and enjoy a great variety of flavours.

Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing for this advance reader's copy.

Bread is good. Homemade bread is even better. Easy Homemade Bread provides plenty of recipes for you to make your own at home (and make you house smell like amazingly freshly baked goods at the same time).

Easy Homemade Bread has an entire chapter spent talking about bread basics. The difference between the flours, oils and fats; as well as some tips and tricks and how to kneed dough. All of the recipes are divided into 11 different categories. Classic Breads, No-Kneed Breads, Sourdough Breads, Buns & Rolls, Quick Breads, Flatbreads & Crackers, Muffins & Scones, Biscuits & Cornbread, Boil Bread: Bagels, Pretzels & Dumplings, Doughnuts & Other Fried Bread, and Gluten-Free Breads.

I made the Raspberry Scones the day that I got this book. My Dad loves raspberries so I thought that this may be up his alley. Unfortunately he was very disappointed with the results. The size scones that they recommended were way too small, and they did not rise in the oven either. They were also very stodgy and heavy. While Dad did like the flavour of raspberry scones, next time I will just try to add them into my regular scone mixture and see how different that will be.

Even with this recipe failure, with the variety of recipes available in here I am sure that their will be some good ones to try out.
