An investigation firm helps with two cases: a missing bookkeeper (and missing money?) and a gold-digger about to marry a wealthy man. The book was easy reading and the cases were intriguing. Characters seemed a bit stereotypical.

Other People's Money is the seventh book in the Madeline Dawkins series. She and her husband Mike have just completed a case when Madeline’s friend, Jane, needs their help. As Jane meets her friend over lunch Jane discloses her husband’s account manager has gone missing and they believe she has embezzled a large sum of money. They are reluctant to involve the police. As Madeline and Mike begin to work the case, they are asked by another friend to investigate the woman his father is planning to marry. The sudden romance and the huge age difference concerns the son that she may have ulterior motives. Madeline’s tenant contacts her that a friend may be missing after she was fired. Madeline and Mike will begin to suspect that there may be a common denominator in the missing women's cases. They will have their hands full as they put the pieces together in all of these cases.

This book was a fast paced read. The book is a stand alone, and there is enough back history so it is easy to read on it's own. But it is entertaining enough that you might want to read the whole series.

Private investigators Madeline Dawkins and her husband Mike have successfully completed a case when Madeline’s former best friend, Jane, needs their help. Jane’s husband’s account manager, as well a large amount of money, has gone missing and they don’t want to involve the police. As she and Mike begin to work the case, they are asked by another friend to investigate the woman his father is planning to marry. The woman is quite a bit younger than his father whose wife recently passed away. Is she after the man or his money? Madeline’s tenant mentions that a good friend was fired from her job and is now missing. Could Madeline please check on her? Follow along as Madeline, Mike and their assistant Samir take us through the use of their many resources to solve each case. The greed for money seems to be the common denominator between all three cases. When it seems as the same man could be involved in two of the cases, could the missing women be hiding, in fear for their lives? This book is the first one I read from this author. The story itself was a very well written, but at times I felt like I was missing something to the story. With that being said, that is probably because I haven't read any of the other books.

Overall, this was a nice story to read.

This was my first experience reading from the author. I would love to say I enjoyed it from start to finish. But I felt it could have been a shorter book.. parts of it were just to drawn out for me. It felt like most of the storyline was going in circles. I did enjoy the characters though. Overall all okay for me. Wish I could have like it more . Maybe others might enjoy it and give it 5 stars
