This one reminded me of others I read in the past who in my opinion executed this plot better. I was so excited to read this based on the synopsis however it ultimately fell flat to me. The main character annoyed me. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

I devoured this book! I’ve read all of Kerry Fishers books and will continue to do so! Robin absolutely drove me nuts and I knew he was too good to be true. I was happy that Rebecca was able to find happiness at the end. Will recommend this book to my friends

The Woman in My Home by Kerry Fisher was another wonderfully written book by Kerry. Kerry has a way of drawing you into all her books and they have all been beautifully written from start till the very end, just like this one. I loved it. Is this a fairy tale and I am dreaming! But I will wake up in a minute or two and I will realise its not true!!! Cath has finally met someone who she can finally trust and love. He is called Robin; he adores and loves her back. Cath has been running her own successful business, raised her beautiful son whilst caring for her elderly mum. As Cath smiles to herself she deserves happiness in her busy life.
Robin is everything she always wanted in a man! Cath shows Robin off to all her friends and family, but something is not right and her friends and family are suspicious of him. They don't know why and how to approach this subject to Cath. Who wouldn't listen to them anyway.

When, Cath hires a Live-in-housekeeper called Rebecca to help her with everything around her house, she feels she does not trust him as well. Something is just not right but she can not put her finger on it! He is too perfect, too slick and this has happened all too fast; within this relationship. Does Cath really know him?

Cath is a strong woman and is used to taking care of herself and others around her. She is no fool, she can handle herself!
But can she?

Things start to go wrong in the house that she has been living in for years now. Everything has been fine. Cath has started to wonder if if the man she loves is really what he seems. What will she find when she starts to ask questions?

Is Robin keeping secrets from her? is she ready for what she may find?

WoW, This was an amazing book from start to finish and has you sitting on the edge of your seat many times whilst reading it.

I highly recommend this new book by Kerry its a 5 star read! I loved it

Big Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Bookouture for this early release in exchange for my honest review.

Mother-of-two Rebecca is needing a place to live after her husband lost all their money and house on a failed business venture. Cath runs a successful recruitment agency and is dating charismatic property developer Robin. When Rebecca comes to the assistance of Cath’s spirited mum, it leads to her picking up some cleaning work and a temporary place to stay.
But just when things should be looking up for both women, it seems it doesn’t pay to be too trusting.
This was a clever and gripping read, with an awesome twist mid-book.

I loved The Woman in My Home. It's one of those books where you hate most of the characters, either because they are despicable or because they make increasingly stupid decisions but you're entertained the entire time. Although most of the situations are outlandish, the characters and their inner dialogue seemed quite real.

Ooh, this is a very twisty tale! Right from the start I was totally drawn into the story, which is told from the points of view of both Cath and Rebecca.

I liked both of them as characters, although I was surprised that a successful and strong woman like Cath could be so trusting of a man she’d only known for a short while, one who seemed to be not just too good to be true, but who had a variety of excuses and ever-changing stories.

It is so hard to know who to trust in this book and it’s very addictive reading. It’s a real “just one more chapter” book.

The first half of the book moves along at quite an easy pace and then boom, along comes the first twist. After this, it’s a very tense read with an impending deadline ahead that made me race to the finish.

This book will completely consume you, highly recommended for anyone who loves a superb domestic thriller with some genuinely jaw-dropping moments.

Another fantastic read from Kerry Fisher. Really enjoyed Kate and Rebecca 's story one who is wealthy and one who has lost everything after splitting from her husband. Such a great mix of characters and I really wanted to throttle Robin who is hoping to marry Kate but things are not always as they seem. Read this book in two sittings I couldn't put it down and I highly recommend it

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'The Woman In My Home' by Kerry Fisher.

Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Kerry Fisher, Bookouture publishers and Bookouture anonymous

Publication date 20th May 2022.

This is the third book I have read by this author. I have previously read 'Another Woman's Child' and 'Other People's Marriages' which I would also recommend.

I was originally drawn to this book by its beautiful eye catching cover and its intriguing synopsis and title. The synopsis stated that this book is 'Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty and Diane Chamberlain.' I am a huge fan of Diane Chamberlain so am looking forward to seeing if this lives up to this statement. I am also a huge fan of Kerry Fisher and if this is half as good as 'Another Woman's Child' and 'Other People's Marriages' it is sure to be an epic read. I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Bookouture. I have yet to read a book published by Bookouture that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).

This novel consists of a prologue and 39 chapters. The chapters are short to medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This book is based in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 , UK 🇬🇧 . I always enjoy when books are set in the UK as I'm from Wales and have sometimes visited areas mentioned in the book. This makes it easier to picture where the scenes are set at times. I have in fact visited England on many occasions including going there on holiday last and this year so am looking forward to possibly recognising name places.

This books is written in first person perspective and the main protagonists are Cath and Rebecca. The benefits of books written in first person perspective are as long as they are well written it makes you feel that you are being spoken to by the protagonist and it can create more of a bond between yourselves and them. If there are several protagonists you also get to see more of what is going on.

This book is beautifully written with descriptions that set the scene and really make you feel what the characters are going through. The cover and synopsis suit the book perfectly.

I became completely invested in this storyline and found it to be unique which is definitely a bonus. I started it this morning and finished this afternoon, I just could not put it down. It was filled with secrets, friendship, deceit, romance, lies and a few shocking twists. I absolutely loved the part that where Rebecca states that "A reality TV programme where a psychologist analyses what cleaners discover about their clients would knock the spots off I’m a Celebrity and Love Island." I would LOVE to see this happen!! This book was filled with so many different emotions from love to shock to sadness. It was also realistic which I enjoy in a book as it helps me to connect with it more. The only downside that I had was that I was a bit disappointed with the ending and was hoping a certain someone would get their comeuppance. However, being that I enjoyed the fact the storyline was realistic I also appreciate the fact that life doesnt always go the way we hoped for.

A fantastic and addictive plot which I enjoyed sinking my teeth into and that kept me turning the pages.

The characters were all strong and realistic and I was invested in both Cath and Rebecca. I really liked both of the main characters and felt sorry for them both at certain times and yet at others I could have shouted at them. My heart really went out to Rebecca as a mother myself for the position she was in and I hope to God every day that I'm never in the position to worry about where my children will sleep the next day. However, the fact that she originally chose to do one thing over another did annoy me as although I could understand she wanted one thing it shouldn't be at another person's demise. I won't say more than that as I don't want to spoil anything. I had mixed feelings about Robin from the start and questioned some of the things he was telling Cath. It's hard to say too much of how I feel about any of the characters without giving too much away. I really liked Sandy from the start and I would have loved to see what happened with him and someone in the end. Regardless of how I felt about each character they all worked perfectly together to make this book a page turner.

Overall a unique storyline filled with secrets and twists that will keep you turning the pages.

Genres covered in this novel include Literary Fiction, Psychological Fiction, Contemporary Fiction, Crime Fiction, Domestic Fiction, Women's Saga, Women's Psychological Fiction and Women's Crime Fiction amongst others.

I would recommend this book to the fans of the above as well as anyone looking for a unique read full of secrets and twists.

319 pages.

This book is just £1.99 to purchase on kindle via Amazon or free on kindle unlimited (at time of review) which I think is an absolute bargain for this book!!!

Rated 4/5 (I enjoyed it ) on Goodreads, Instagram, Amazon UK and Amazon US and on over 30 Facebook pages plus my blog on Facebook.

Hello secrets, family drama, betrayals and cheers to new beginnings
The Woman in my Home is one real gripping page turner with a twist
I have to say that I properly enjoyed this story. I got into it and as I was reading I thought to myself: "something is coming and I can feel it's big" - and it was. I got upset with Cath as she was blinded by love but at the same time: who isn't?
We all see rainbows and unicorns when in love. We don't see the bad, we don't notice red flags no matter what others say. We want happiness, we want the fairytale and the joy that comes with it and most times we forget that when something is too good to be true .... is most probably bad
I was waiting to see when Cath would open her eyes, when will she see what's actually going on and I was in for a surprise. I didn't see that coming at all. I haven't thought of background connections and such an elaborate plan
The Woman in my Home is for sure one book to add to your TBR

The Woman in My Home touches on secrecy, loneliness, lying, dishonesty, desperation, loyalty and love. Cath meets Robin and is impressed with his gentlemanly ways and his adoration of her. Cath is an entrepreneur and lives in a luxurious house. It's not long before Robin moves in. ar When Robin proposes to Cath she is delighted, however, Cath’s son and Dolly, Cath’s mum, aren't keen and even her live-in housekeeper, Rebecca isn't happy.

I really enjoyed reading this fast-paced story; everyone had their own agenda while the story twists, with sensitivity and surprises along the way. Ingeniously plotted, Kerry Fisher is a marvellous storyteller and her writing is a good fit for me. Very highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture via NetGalley and this review is my unbiased opinion.

Don't mind me, I'm just recovering from whiplash following the mid-book twist! I did not see that coming! Whew!

A second chance at love. Starting over sounds lovely, doesn't it? Except no one is as excited as she is about it. Cath has been on her own for a long time, a successful business owner with an adult son and aging mother. Robin rings all her whistles. But why is it, that no one seems to be Camp Robin?

Rebecca is a down on her luck single mother willing to do anything to make ends meet. She too is looking for a second chance. When Rebecca meets Dolly, Cath's mother, things start to look brighter. Cath hires her and even Rebecca sees red when she encounters Robin....

This book has a little bit of everything: an unreliable narrator, people who aren't who they seem, a twist halfway through and secrets galore!! This was right up my alley!

Cath and Rebecca's POV's steer the story, but good golly, it was Dolly who stole the show!

This book is full of tension, manipulation, secrets, lies, and drama. Who can you trust? When do you really know someone?

This was my first book by Fisher and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future. This was gripping, entertaining and kept me on my toes.

Thanks to Kerry and NetGalley for allowing me to read The Woman in my Home before the publication date.

Cath is a self-sufficient, successful business woman.
Enter handsome, charismatic property developer Robin who sweeps her off her feet with extravagant gestures and compliments.

Cath’s son Sandy turns up on her doorstep asking to stay whilst he and his wife work at resolving their marital issues.
This does not go down well with Robin, but it doesn’t stop him from proposing to Cath and immediately starts to make elaborate and costly wedding arrangements.

Soon everyone in Cath’s circle is showing concern about the speed with which the relationship has progressed.
By this stage, Cath is thinking with her heart whilst ignoring her head.

Whilst Cath has introduced Robin to her friends and family, she has never met any of the people who Robin talks about.

Is Robin the romantic suitor he claims to be or is he a con man?

In this page turner, Kerry reveals many secrets, lies and deceit.

Cath is middle-aged businesswoman. She has built a successful business. Now she has met Robin, a property developer who flies back and forth to Spain. For Cath, Robin just might be the one. He’s wealthy, good looking, successful and he adores her
Rebecca is in the middle of a divorce and selling the family home. Her husband mortgaged their home against a business which failed. He has now returned home to live with his parents. When the house sells, she finds herself sofa surfing at her sister’s and having to let the children live with their father, who by this time has found another home and a girlfriend.
When Rebecca goes to the aid of an elderly woman, she has no idea it is Cath’s mother Dolly. From being homeless and unemployed, she is taken on by Cath to not only look after her mother but also to act as a live in housekeeper in Cath’s beautiful home.
Cath is a hardworking, no-nonsense businesswoman, but in matters of the heart maybe a little naïve. Robin’s divorce and sale of the matrimonial home seem to be in a state of constant flux. Added to that he has asked Cath to help him with cash flow problems on one of his Spanish developments. Of course she will help him. In fact she’ll do anything for him. After all she loves him doesn’t she? And he loves her?
Rebecca really has been thrown under a bus. She’s at rock bottom when she meets Dolly, but a fighter determined to get her children back.
And as for Robin, well what can I say? He has a plausible explanation for every bump in the road. He’s really believable. He loves Cath. With the divorce settled he’s even proposed and is organising the wedding. Secrets and lies abound in this story as well as twists and turns you might not see coming. A great read.
I would like to thank Netgalley, Bookouture and Kerry Fisher for an ARC of The Woman in My Home in exchange for an honest review.
