One of my all-time favorite paranormal cozy series. It’s so charming and comforting, and I love the community that surrounds the little Oregon library.

I liked Witch and Famous. I was a bit bugged with the way Sam basically ignored Josie for Daphne. I also didn't like how Daphne initially came between Roz and Lyndon. It kind of was out of character for Lyndon to be smitten with a movie star and to be so demonstrative of his admiration for her. Other than that, I thought the murder mystery was cleverly written. I really love this series.

I really enjoy this series and it is a must read for anyone who loves a bookish cozy, a librarian cozy, and/or a paranormal cozy, all three of which are my favorite types of cozies.

I did not know this was part of a series going in, but it definitely worked as a standalone!

I love a good cozy mystery! Add in some witches and it’s an easy sell for me!

This was a super quick and easy read. With a small town setting and really likeable characters this one had me hooked.

I love when I can’t guess the ending of a story and I had know idea what was going to happen in this one!

Witch and Famous is the third book in the Witch Way Librarian cozy mystery series by Angela M. Sanders. Josie Way has settled into life in Wilfred, Oregon, living in an apartment above the library in an old Victorian House. Famous movie star Daphne Morris has come to town to interview one of Wilfred's very own novelists for her book club. She is very much a diva--spoiled and used to getting her way.

When one of Daphne's entourage is murdered in a style much like the murder of a character in the romance novel being highlighted by the book club, the novelist (whose name I am purposefully withholding if you haven't yet read the first book) becomes the number one suspect. Could the intended victim really been Daphne though? She seems to have quite a few enemies who have reason to do her in. Getting to the bottom of the murder is at the top of Josie's to do list. With the help from the voices in her books and her feline familiar Rodney, Josie sets out to do just that.

With a long list of suspects, Josie has her work cut out for her. The sheriff seems distracted and she is not sure how much she can rely on him for help. Josie ups her use of magic in this third installment of the series. She's growing more confidant in the use of her powers and, put together with her resourcefulness, there is not much she cannot do. I enjoyed getting to know more about the Wilfred townspeople. This installment was infused with humor and was a lot of fun to read. I can see this series becoming a favorite.

This one was my favorite of the series because Josie has finally settled in as the librarian in the town of Wilfred Oregon. And what’s not to love about a cozy mystery that has a little bit of magic in the mix. Because what librarian wouldn’t love the library giving them the perfect book at the right moment.

Another excellent edition to a wonderful series! Full of twists and turns that leaves you wanting more and enjoying each moment until the end when the killer is caught!

I love a good cozy mystery! One that incorporates all of my favorite topics (i.e. bookstores, libraries, cooking, painting, inn keeping, animals, etc.), throwing in some action-suspense, a who-done-it, interesting characters, and a plot that keeps me guessing, then you’ve got me hooked. I will say, I am one of those people who like to read a series from the beginning, but I often find you don’t have to… either way I highly recommend reading Witch and Famous by Angela M. Sanders.

*I received a complimentary copy of this novel from NetGalley at my request and this review is my own unbiased opinion.*

This is book 3 in the Witch Way Librarian series and can be read as a stand alone. Josie is the librarian at the Wilfred, Oregon public library. They are hosting famous blogger and tv host Daphne Morris set to interview a local author. When her chef is murdered she has every man in town trying to confort her. That doesn't set well with Josie or any of the ladies in town. Luckily Daphne can call on the library books to give her assistance in finding the killer. A cute witch story with some unusual powers.

This was such a cute book, I liked how Josie's magic dealt with books. Was definitely unique and different. Her friend Fox who happens to be an author, is going to be interviewed for this talk show. The cat Rodney was adorable wish there was more of Rodney in the book.
I have received this ARC from Net galley for a fair and unbiased review.

Josie and Roz are excited about the opportunity to meet an A-list celebrity when she arrives to interview Roz. But things quickly turn sour when the stunning actress starts winning over Roz's long-time love and even wins over the handsome sheriff that Josie's been pinning for. A plot that immediately brews up some trouble, chaos, and fun. Sanders delivers another spellbinding installment in the series that is such a delight to read. Relationships are a key part of the story with Josie's (currently unrequited) feelings for Sam and Roz's jealousy over Lyndon's interest in the lovely celebrity. The essence of the story peels back the idea of taking a chance on romance and giving your heart a chance to let someone in which takes a couple of hopeful directions at the end for two dynamics.

The writing is so delightful and with details that are homey and at times idealistic with phrases such as "held a tangle of hollyhocks and daisies," "rose-scented summer breeze through the open French doors," and the "pink twilight was reluctantly turning dusky." These specific word choices create this cozy atmosphere that draws you in and gives you the feeling equivalent to sitting in front of a warm fire. Something about Sanders' writing style just makes you smile with the subtle beauty in how she turns phrases such as Josie not saying that her heart "exploded into chrysanthemum-petaled fireworks" and "the gold dust shimmer of charisma wafting around her." The characters are as charming as the details with Josie being an enchanting voice and the interactions she has with Roz are so much fun to read. Sanders even provides the characters with enjoyable details such as the immediate kinship Josie has with Leo over their shared bookish nature or Lyndon described as having a craggy face with bony hands and wearing expressions that were impassive enough to scare children.

When a movie star, Daphne, and her entourage arrive in town to interview Roz, about one of her books for Daphne’s book club. Daphne is very good looking and seems to attract the attention of all the men in town. So when Daphne’s crew starts to be killed off in styles similar to the death scenes in Roz’s book Roz becomes a suspect. Josie, the Librarian and fledgling witch, has to clear her friends name as well as protect Daphne even though she doesn’t like Daphne’s attention for Sheriff Sam.

This is the third book in the series and my second. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone mystery. Josie is a fun protagonist. Since she is new at being a witch and trying to keep it a secret she sometimes is put in awkward situations. Also being a librarian in an old historic home she sometimes has to get the quirky members of town under control or they would take over the library and disturb those who are there to find quiet time and a good book. The mystery is well done, well paced, and full of twists. I recommend this book to fans of paranormal cozy.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I have not been by anyone.

What a fun book this was! Although it's No 3 in the series and I've not read the first two, I loved this tale of a witch librarian whose gift is bibliomancy. She's able to hear and speak to the books, as well as recommend the perfect book to anyone coming into the library. She has a bit of a crush on her neighbour, the local sheriff, although it seems to be unrequited as he's concentrating on raising his ten-month old son and working hard for the town.

A nice cast of characters, relatable and quirky, round out the story and support Josie in her endeavours to find the murderer. This is another series that's going on my TBR pile, and which I'll be going back to start at the beginning.

Josie Way is a fun character learning to control her witchy powers. She cares about her neighbors and movie star Daphne Morris is turning the town upside down. Rodney, the cat familiar, is a delightful sidekick. Josie looks into the murder while navigating the town drama in Daphne's wake, including her romantic interest being swept up by the star. The plot had enough meat to keep my interest and serve up some twists. The climax provided some good thrills to top off a solid mystery. This is a fun mystery with humor and a satisfying plot.

Rating: Excellent - Loved it! Buy it now and put this author on your watch list

3rd book in the Witch Way Librarian series and I can't wait for book 4!

This can definitely be read as a standalone if you want to, but you do lose some backstory and character development if you do- nothing you can't get past if you start with that mindset!

I loved reading this book- super easy to read, lovable characters, engaging storyline, lots of mystery, a dash of romance, and magic sprinkled throughout.

Josie is a witchy bookworm sleuth whose magic is well written, very descriptive, and SO UNIQUE!
Throughout this book there's the "will they or won't they" for love between Josie and Sam, Sam and Daphne, and Daphne and Lyndon. It's a semi-HEA but a decent sized cliffhanger that makes me nervous and impatiently awaiting the next installment for 2023.

This is a great cozy murder mystery that doesn't have graphic depictions or any on-page romance.

The third installment in the Witch Way Librarian Mysteries series by Angela M. Sanders is an absolutely charming story full of red herrings, twists, turns, and magic.

Josie Wray and all of the town of Wilfred are excited when famous actress Daphne Morris arrives in town to interview their own Roz, assistant librarian and best-selling author. But before long, the actress’s star begins to fall as she hits on Roz’s longtime love and then Sheriff Sam, the object of Josie’s affection. Danger ensues when Daphne’s personal chef is murdered. When it looks like Roz is being framed, Josie steps in to clear her name, along with some magical help from the library books and guidance from the letters her witchy grandmother left her long ago.

I hope this series continues for a long time. The characters are quirky and populate a charming little town in Oregon. The way the author has built the town makes me want to visit and settle in as a new resident.

In Cozy Mysteries, it’s the norm for the amateur sleuth to think over the facts of the case and what’s been discovered or figured out. Confession: I usually skim those parts. I know, I shouldn’t. But that all changed in Witch & Famous. Josie did something so unique and interesting that I was enthralled. She devised a way to go over the facts using her magic, the magic of the library, and the books on the shelves. It was incredibly unique, and I admired the creativity of the author for the way she wrote that chapter. And no, I won’t spill the beans - you’ll just have to read the book for yourself!

I’ve definitely become a fan of the author, and I look forward to the next in the series. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington books for letting me read an advanced copy. I’m happy to leave my thoughts on this book.
