Loved reading this book and author. If you haven't read it yet I highly recommend her and her books. I suggest reading Ii. Order I couldn't put the hook down. Do good
Hmm, wonder if the author is a relative with that last name? Either way, a fabulous series, and this is a great addition. Fast-paced, clever, and charming. Couldn't ask for more.
In book 3 of the Witch Way Librarian Mystery Series, A-list movie star Daphne Morris has come to town to interview Roz for her book club. However, when Daphne’s personal chef is murdered usng a scene from Roz's book, it looks like someone is framing Roz for the murder. Josie, along with her cat familiar Rodney, must do all they can to help solve the murder and clear her friend's name.
I love this series. I got a kick out of the part where she used her powers to call up all of the different male and female detectives from popular fiction to help her solve the case. It was fun matching the names to the series they belonged to.....although I will have to admit I am still stumped on "Cherry". If you are a fan of cozy witch mysteries then you need to check this series out. You don't necessarily have to have read the previous books to enjoy this one, because the author does a good job re-telling any backstory you may need to know. However, once you read this, I am sure you will want to go back and read the other books as well. This is a light quick read with a great mystery.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC for an exchange for an honest review.
Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. Enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters. The reveal of the killers is convoluted. #WitchandFamous #NetGalley
This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
I truly appreciate a good cozy mystery and Angela Sanders never disappoints. Witch and Famous is a true delight.
What a great charming mystery, I loved reading Witch and Famous!!
Josie and all of Wilfred is buzzing with excitement. A-list movie star Daphne Morris has chosen to interview Roz, assistant librarian, and novelist, for her book club.
But when the glamorous actress quickly charms both Roz’s long-time love and Sheriff Sam, the object of Josie’s unrequited affection, Josie turns to the whispers from her beloved books for ideas on revising the plot.
At a party to celebrate the interview, Daphne’s personal chef is found dead in a scene that all too closely echoes one in Roz’s novel. Now Josie is being framed for a murder she did not commit.
And the mystery begins...
Librarian witch Josie is faced with another set of murders. Trying to protect her friend Roz and her growing jealousy of Sam's attention elsewhere with the actress Daphne (who is causing a lot of stir), Josie is faced with a lot of twists and turns. Another fun read in this series set in Oregon. Highly recommend.
With a celebrity coming to the library, everyone in town is excited. Turns out someone isn’t happy and Daphne’s personal chef is found dead and it is VERY familiar as it is almost straight out of Roz’s book. With the help of the magical library and Josie’s beloved letters, can she solve the murder before it happens again?
The third entry in this series delivers, just as the first two have. I’m super glad I found this series when it first came out, and even happier that Josie decided to stay in Wilfred. And Rodney? Who doesn’t love Josie’s familiar? A great series to add to your list of cozies.
I really enjoy reading this series. A librarian and witch solving mysteries makes my heart happy. Now if only Sam can realize that Josie is perfect for him. Quick read because I couldn't put the book down. I thought I knew who the murderer was, but I was wrong. Loved the dynamics between the characters, Rodney in particular. Can't wait till the next book in this series.
Witch and Famous is a mystery novel whose main character is a witch/librarian. I thought the idea was fun and interesting. Sadly I have mixed feelings about the book. I thought it took too long for the plot to take off. For the first half of the story not much was going on. Then the pace picked up and the witchy parts spiced it all up, but overall it didn’t keep me “hooked” as I would’ve hoped. The ending was a bit unexpected, albeit a bit complicated.
Thanks to Kensington Books for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion
Witch and Famous is the third installment of this quirky and colorful cozy mystery by Angela M. Sanders.
Josie Way is the librarian for a unique library situated in the scenic Pacific Northwest.
For Josie, her life has always been about books, so when she discovers that she is also a powerful witch, her life becomes more exciting.
When Daphne Morris, movie star, reaches out to assistant librarian Roz, the whole town is caught up in her arrival.
Daphne has selected Roz's book to be featured for her book club, and everyone is anticipating the stars arrival.
Daphne herself is quite the character, and I found myself having love/hate feelings about her.
No man is off limits to Daphne, and that includes Roz's special guy, as well as Sam, the sheriff, and the object of Josie's affection.
Unfortunately, we all know someone has to die in this book, but the how and why is intriguing and I found myself reading this book from start to finish, in one sitting.
This series is well written and I love Rodney, Josie's cat, he brings a fun element to the storyline.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.
I happily recommend this book and series to everyone who loves a fun book.

Witch and Famous by Angela M. Sanders is a great cozy mystery that is the third book in the adorable series: Witch Way Librarian series. I enjoyed this.
I have read all three books thus far and I really think this series is coming into its own and settling in for the long haul.
The backrop of the quaint Wilfred, Oregon makes for a lovely scenic and picturesque locale. Not many authors take advantage of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
I completely adore Rodney the feline partner to amateur sleuth to Josie. I am enjoying her self-discovery and growth, as a woman and adult, and as a librarian and a person with special powers. The author does a great job balancing the murder/mystery, the wonderful character cast, the paranormal threads….and she ties it all up nicely into a great book that kept me engaged and interested.
Definitely looking forward to the next book!
5/5 stars
Thank you NG and Kensington Books for this wonderful arc and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion.
I am posting this review to my GR and Bookbub accounts immediately and will post it to my Amazon, Instagram, and B&N accounts upon publication on 7/26/22.
Witch and Famous is a delightful book! I read it in one afternoon and loved the heck out of it.
Josie Way is a librarian, a witch, and an amateur detective. She lives in a small town in Oregon that is chock-full of the requisite cooky characters and stalwart friends. The whole town is abuzz because a famous actress who also has a celebrated book club is coming to town to interview a local author.
As you might imagine, murder and hijinks ensue. Josie has to figure out whodunnit and, maybe, see about casting a love spell on Sam- who is the sheriff and is apparently besotted with the movie star.
The story moves along at a fast clip. The characters feel connected and the mystery does keep you guessing until the end. And how Josie figures out the mystery is quite wonderful. I actually laughed with glee when she....well, that would be telling.
Witch and Famous is clever, fun, and just darn good reading!
