Secrets by Fern Michaels is part of her Lost and Found series. This book features a mystery that arises from a mysterious steamer trunk that surfaces at a furniture company. With an interesting community and well rounded characters, It is a good read overall. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

fern Michael's books either grab me from page 1 or have me skimming by chapter 3. This was a good addition to the Lost and Found series. You do not need to read book 1, Hidden to enjoy book 2 but you'll want some more background to the brother and sister who run the antique/cafe store. This story revolves around an old trunk and the mysterious owner who sent it to for restoration. a nice blend of mystery and psychic readings.

I had a hard time getting into this one. There isn't much of a mystery. The book spends way too much time on the daily routines and lives of Cullen and Luna and their significant others, even up to the point of putting the uninteresting content of text messages into the story. It just wasn't compelling enough to hold my attention.

I received a free copy of this book from Kensington Books via Netgalley. My review is voluntary and my opinions are my own.

I quickly read the first book in this series, Hidden. Read in succession, I think was more enjoyable, I really got to know the characters, which over all were very interesting. I did wonder more than once about the relationship "innocence of a few of the characters, seemed a little naive.at their age. Loved how the story all came together in the last pages!

Interesting characters along with interesting occupations and shops abound in this book that was full of secrets.  The Stillwell Art Center sounded like a fun place to visit.  I enjoyed trying to piece together the mystery and was pleased with how everything ended.  I liked the romance that had developed between Luna and Marshall Gaines.  It was interesting how restoring an old, locked, steamer trunk brought all of the characters together.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Finishing the new Fern Michael’s book was the perfect way to end a rather fraught filled day.
We catch up with Luna and Cullen as a smoky mysterious trunk is delivered to Cullen’s place. Luna is all over it and tries to figure out who sent it and the story behind it.
So many of the scenes were hilarious with the capers of the siblings and their friends.
There are significant developments with each of their love lives.
It’s so easy to slip back into the story as Michaels creates a world we would love to inhabit.

Secrets is the second book in a series. I did not know this when I read it and have not read the first book. I did not feel like I was missing anything by not reading the first. I will however, read the first one soon.

Cullen owns a restoration business in an upscale Art Shop Community. His sister, Luna runs a cafe next door and also does readings on the side. Luna has a unique way of showing what she sees. Instead of telling her clients the results she draws what she is feeling as she does the reading. I found this fascinating.

The characters are mostly "arsty" people and live up to the stereotype of said group. They are quirky to be sure, but not in a derogatory way.

Cullen receives an old trunk from an anonymous source. He is asked to restore the trunk and anything that may be inside. Luna gets involved when she has "feelings" surrounding the trunk.

A story of mystery, relationships, family, friends, detective work and a little romance thrown in.

A fun and enjoyable read.

Thanks to netgalley and Kensington Books, Zebra for the arc.

This story is second in a series. I did enjoy the zany characters and the thread of romance along with solving a mystery

Thank you Netgalley for his ARC

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
This is a story where nothing is a coincidence and everything that happens is meant to be.
A husband and wife are struggling in their marriage, a psychic deals with many unlikely coincidences and a new love, and a diary left behind.
Lots of details in this one to follow but a nice Happy ending.
3.5 stars

I had no doubts about this one!! I loved it!! After reading the first book in this series, Hidden, I really hoped there would be more! Fern Michaels didn't disappoint at all. I really love Luna and Cullen. They are a delightful brother/sister team that help solve mysteries along with a zany cast a characters. I hope there is going to be many more books in the Lost & Found Series. Thank you Fern Michaels for another very delightful book and please keep them coming!! Wish I could have given it more than 5 stars and I highly recommend this one!!

A rare miss for me from Michaels because this story felt like it should be...better, Luna is a psychic, her brother Cullen restores furniture and they both find themselves on a quest to find the owner of a trunk which is delivered to Cullen. Along the way there's some clean romantic yearning between Luna and US Marshall Christopher Gaines, who doesn't think Luna should be poking around in the past, especially when it seems to endanger her in the present. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. Not her best.

This didn't really feel like a Fern Michaels read, but what bothered me the most was that the basis of the story seemed to be the trunk that was delivered to one of the characters in the story, along with a check for $1000 and a request to have it refurbished. There was a certain mystery about the trunk which fascinated the furniture restorer's psychic sister. However, the trunk didn't get worked on or really even enter the story until the end of the book. In between was just filling... a little romance and too much dialogue. It all felt a little disjointed to me and took me a long time to get through.

Twists, turns, mystery and friendship abound in this story. A quick read that's a real page turner.

This was a disappointing book, not worthy of Fern Michaels. The main characters were all back, acting like school aged kids. It was hard to read and oh so predictable. I thought the story was silly and had I not committed to NetGalley to finish the book, I would have likely not finished it. There are better books out there and Luna and Connor deserved a more adult storyline.

Secrets is a story with quirky and fun-loving characters. I enjoyed the mystery involving an old trunk along with the friendships and romantic stories throughout the book. Over all, an enjoyable and easy read.

This was what I call a good “fluff book.” It was a light mystery, light romance, and things wrapped up nicely in the end. Enjoyable!

Secrets by Fern Michaels is the second book in the Lost and Found series. When I received Secrets to review, I had to read the first book, Hidden, before reading Secrets. I was glad I did. Cullen and Luna Bodman are a brother and sister duo. They both work in the Art Center. Cullen restores furniture and Luna runs a coffee shop called Namaste Café. She is also does a little psychic reading. Luna gets these ‘vibes’ off of some one the items in Cullen workshop. They search for the owners and the mystery surrounding the items. In Secrets, it’s an old fire damaged steamer trunk. The books are very cute mysteries. I love the interaction between all the characters. Looking forward to another one in series.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for the advanced copy to review.

Quirky story. I was intrigued by the old trunk with the unsigned letter but the story was not what I was expecting. Too much psychic intuition for me.

This is a story about the artists of the Stilwell Art Center. It is a continuation of the story from the first book. It felt familiar to me because it had the same characters as the first book. I enjoyed reading it. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
