Luna Bodhi Bodman and her brother Cullen Bodman both work at the Stilwell Art Center in North Carolina. Luna ran a cafe at the Center and dabbled in the paranormal and was an amateur medium. Cullen owned and ran the Restoration Shop. Cullen received a mysterious trunk from an unknown person along with a money order for a $1,000 to restore the trunk. The trunk had been through a fire and was locked so no one knew what was inside. Luna had previously worked with U.S Marshall Christopher Gaines of the missing children unit. They had had dinner a couple of times but he worked a couple hours away and he had a busy job. Through her medium activities Luna had sense of things tied to the mystery trunk. Working with the U.S Marshall they helped to solve the mystery and also progress their romance along. It was an interesting book and I would recommend it.
Fabulous! The Master Story-Teller Fern Michaels has done it again! Quirky but endearing characters join together to unravel the mystery behind a mysterious trunk that anonymously shows up at Cullen's workshop. Clearly the trunk has been in a fire if the smell is any indication. Cullen loves restoration but his sister Luna and her uncanny intuitiveness is determined to uncover the story behind the fire. With her psychic abilities can she reunite the trunk and the diary found inside to the rightful owners?
Thank you to NetGalley and Zebra Books for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
I think Fern Michaels has just went downhill. Her writing seems a little juvenile and I just wasn't into it. Sorry!
Another great book in this series about brother and sister, Luna and Cullen, along with all their friends in the center. The story has it all: friendship, family, mystery and of course secrets. The plot flows smoothly from scene to scene, kept me engage the whole time. Love the characters, like old friends. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Great story if you love cozy mystery like books.
I received an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
Wonderful addition to the cozy mystery series.
This books brings back all the friends from the Art Center that we enjoyed in the previous story. Cullen and Luna Bodman-- brother and sister who each have a shop in the Center. Cullen restores old furniture and Luna runs the Namaste Cafe with a little psychic consulting business on the side. There's also Ellie, the owner, and Chi-Chi the Nigerian jewelry-maker that Cullen has a crush on. Luna's crush is US Marshall Christopher Gaines. When Cullen receives an anonymous piece to restore -- an old steamer trunk with interesting contents, they all work together to solve the mystery of who the owner may be.

This book was sent to me electronically from Netgalley for review. A talented and gifted author...love her books...a story of friendship and family...secrets...getting along...some likable characters...some not so much...the story moves a little slowly at times, but it comes to a great conclusion...enjoy.
A great addition to the series with endearing characters and a little mystery thrown in...it makes you wonder what will happen and who might be connected to who. I really enjoyed the pace and feel good feeling from this!
This is a charming light mystery. The characters are quirky and delightful, and the story is entertaining. There are heartwarming friendships and a bit of romance. I loved the book and hope there will be more in this series!
Absolutely loved this book. The interesting characters and engrossing storyline had me finishing this in just over a day. Would definitely recommend.
Another great story by Fern Michaels.
Secrets is about Cullen and Luna. They have a restoration shop and cafe and then they get an old steamer chest from an anonymous source. As they dig deeper into the mystery they find a locked diary along with a letter asking for the diary to be restored to its rightful owner. One of the clues is a wooden box containing ticket stubs and a carnival flyer.
Great mystery and a must-read.
Secrets by Fern Michaels, published by Kensington Books, is book two in the Lost and Found Series. Every book could be read as a stand-alone. But there are cross-overs and I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Hidden, the first adventure of Cullen and Luna.
Luna and Cullen's story continues.
Cullen is a renowned restaurateur, Luna runs a cafe and dabbles in pnr/ psychic. She, Cullen and Gaines built a bond and now they're up to the next case/ adventure/ mystery.
A family tragedy, a chest, glimpses into the lives of strangers. This complex slow burn is a fantastic read, unputdownable, outstanding.
