Alison Tanner has been thrown into drug dealing thanks to her husband. But when he's killed in a gang-related stabbing, Alison is now forced to continue selling drugs on behalf of her husband in order to pay off 125K owed to his drug lord. She struggles with this decision in order to save her daughter, Sarah. Then the police get involved as well as the DEA and she decides to infiltrate the drug-selling world in order to get out of what her husband started.
This book was an awesome page turner. Chapter after chapter, I kept wanting to know what was going to happen to Alison and Sarah. The story was believable and the entire time I kept thinking the story sounded similar to maybe a movie or a show I've seen (which is why my rating lost a star), in my mind it was slightly similar in idea to the show "Weeds." Overall, the story was written great. The ending was fitting and tied everything together (and includes a short chapter about a year later).

I received an ARC via NetGally in return for am honest review.
Prescription drugs, black market drugs, and undercover woman coerced by Tom, Goliat and Ellis into a ruthless, brutal gang and drug war turf takeover about blows Alison away as she gets drawn in, or should that be 'dragged' in.
There's definitely a lot of twists and turns in this book. There’s definitely moments in the book where you’re like, I don’t want to put the book down but oof I have to or else mama will whoop my ass as it’s the middle of the knight.
Overall, a good read !

What happens when a spouse is no longer a partner?
Allison's focus and life mantra is be a good wife, be a good mom. No matter the cost to her - making marriage work, turn a blind eye to what keeps her husband busy, the bills paid.
A catastrophic event forces Allison out of her tunnel vision - confronting the truth of her life, relationships and becoming responsible for her choices.
Throw in a ruthless drug dealer, a vindictive mother in law, an entitled teenager into the plot and you'll read straight through the night.

Allison Tanner had a great life. Her husband ran a successful consulting business and they lived in a nice house and were able to send their daughter to a nice private school.
When her husband ends up getting murdered in a drug related shooting, Allison's life starts to fall apart. Apparently her husband's consulting business was a front for a lucrative drug selling business.
Unfortunately, DEA Agent Banks think Allison knew about and helped her husband sell drugs.
And to make matters worse, her husband owed a lot of money to a drug dealer.
Allison finds herself in a tough situation, and she will have to find a way to get herself and her daughter out of it alive.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thought and opinions are my own.

I was amazed at this story of a wife whose husband is not whom he is supposed to be. A secret life has been going on under her nose, so it isn't going to be easy when she is brought in to clear his debt, especially with the cops keeping tabs on her. It makes you wonder could you do what Allison has to do to support herself and her daughter and keep them both alive? The story was at a good pace, and I did enjoy the characters and the storyline. However, the only issue I honestly had was with Allison's daughter. Her attitude and sass toward her momma were too much for me. It almost made me want to go through the book and snatch that fast little girl right on up. The ending was one I did like.

Enjoyed this book but didn't find it to be an amazing crime novel. Great book for the beach. Found the naivety and behaviour of the central character quite annoying at times and didn't find the book to be at all believable.

The non stop action combined with a plot full of suspense and hold your breath moments make for a great read. In the beginning, I didn't care for the main character, Alison, because she seemed to be just a regular old gold digger but as the story went on I was cheering for her. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.

I enjoyed reading Blown by Nolon King. I liked the story even though I didn't find Alison or her daughter to be particularly likable. By the end, you do feel for them and everything that they had been going through. There were twists and turns and multiple forces at play pushing Alison to make some tough choices.

This was a very interesting and wild story. Drugs, gang, money, murder all in this psychological thriller suspense story. Definitely a page turner.

This was a bit of a flop for me…
Aside from a plot hole in the end, the dialogue was both unnatural and repetitive at times, and I really didn’t care for any of the characters or the tone of the MC.
This had such a strong premise, but for me, fell short in delivery.
2.5 stars, rounded up.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for the gifted eARC in exchange for this honest review.

This book has so many layers and so many twists! It really shows how the 'other side' lives, and how people aren't always what they seem. I already bought the rest of the Nolon's novels because his writing is so enticing. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrillers and guessing what will happen!

This was a great book. I love the twist in it, The characters were lovely. Kinda makes you feel what if this happened to you!!
Really enjoyed it

This book was great! Full of twists and turns and so many whodonits!!! Just loved it! Alison was an excellent character as well. Couldn’t put it down!!

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. I was always wondering what Alison would have to do next to keep her daughter safe.

Although the overall story isn't new anymore when youre into the crime thriller/mystery genre, I was still able to enjoy the turn of events. It always excites me of solving and knowing the mystery of finding of who and why everything happened.
I can totally felt the panic in Alison when the turn of the investigation turn to her accusing her of an accomplice of drug dealing and then comes the feeling of protecting her child from all.of it by trying to know the real perpretrator.
This will keep you engaged until the end to know the real story behind the events. Although I really felt that the ending was kind of rushed but still it was an overall good story.

This book didn’t BLOW my mind. The story reminded me of a bad drug deal. The author had the product but failed to deliver……The author executed the right people but not the plot…..
Overall, the story was a quick read but nothing memorable. I would recommend for those looking to get back into reading but not for those who are readers.

Great book thought the pace was good kept my interest through out the whole story line first reading anything by this author and it won't be the last!!
