This is a story about forgiveness and rediscover yourself after being abused all these years. Love Scott for his understanding and patience for Olivia. It was an Emotional and dramatic for me.

I love myself a good Christmas Romance and I am immensely grateful to the publisher for my complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
The story focuses on Olivia who is raising her daughter by herself and the widower with a teenage daughter she falls for. This book is perfect for Hallmark lovers as it deals with second chance romances , relationships between grandmothers and granddaughters. This book is a reminder of the magic of Christmas and the beauty of new beginnings.
This was such a fun and festive book to read. This is a Hallmark type of book and loved every second of it.
Definetly a must read.
The Christmas House holds a special place in the hearts of Olivia, her sister Charlotte and their grandmother.
I loved the flow of the storyline, full of hope and family connections! The characters are warm and relatable, they unite to plan their futures, all wanting the best for each other!
This book is about finding yourself, growing as a person and believing in the future!
A Victoria James novel is a recommended read!
Thanks so much to the publisher, NetGalley and the wonderful Victoria James for a heartwarming read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. .
Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book. Idyllic location that set the tone of the book to perfection. Perfect seasonal book to get you in the mood for the festive season this winter.
Loved reading this book and new romance author for me. I highly recommend her books and I did read them in order. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book gave me all the Hallmark Christmas movie feels and I loved it. Ruby lives at the Christmas House with her granddaughter and granddaughter, but this year is special. She is getting married at the house on Christmas Eve. Ruby's two granddaughters, Charlotte and Olivia, are thrilled and are helping her plan the event. Olivia, who lives with Ruby, is newly divorced form an emotionally abusive marriage and is still recovering when she meets Scott, a contractor and Charlotte's husband Wyatt's best friend. Scott was previously married and has a daughter, Cat, who is the same age as Charlotte and Wyatt's daughter, Sam. Olivia swears that she is not ready for a relationship, but Scott is proving to her that not all men will walk out or abandon her. Olivia's ex-husband, Will, tries to come back and act like he has changed, but Olivia resists him and now has to decide if that is going to affect how she feels about Scott.
I haven't read the first book in this series, although it does work as a standalone story and didn't affect my enjoyment of the book. The main storyline is between Olivia, a divorced mother with a young daughter, and Scott,a widower with a teenage daughter. There is a lovely side romance between Ruby, Olivia's grandmother, and Harry.
Olivia has some serious issues from her marriage where she suffered from mental abuse.
This is definitely a Hallmark movie type of book, with a snowy Christmas theme. It does show how mental abuse can be just as damaging as physical abuse, but balanced with some more positive messages such as Olivia's love for her daughter Dawn and hope for their future. A snuggle up on an autumnal or winter's evening type of book.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.
Thank you NetGalley, Victoria James and Alcove Press for the ARC of
A Christmas House Wedding. This is my personal review.
I enjoyed the first book in the series and enjoyed reading this one just as much as the first one.
I liked the entire story from start to finish. I would love to meet everyone in this book in real life. The author did a great job or writing this story to make it feel so real for me.
This was a cute Christmas read. I had not read the first in this series and no problem reading this one. It can definitely stand alone. I enjoyed the characters.
I didn’t realize this was a sequel but you can definitely read alone and understand the story completely. It was a fun cheesy hallmarky like Christmas book. My favourite part was the love story of Olivia’s grandmother Ruby and her love Harry. It was so sweet and I could have read a whole book about them. I did enjoy that Olivia and Scott both had children of different ages. I loved seeing the interactions and dynamics between the 4.
A Christmas House Wedding
By Victoria James
Sometimes taking a leap of faith takes a lot of courage. That’s what Olivia is faced with. After leaving an abusive relationship Olivia and her small daughter move in with her grandmother in the Christmas House. This is where she and her sister Charlotte grew up most of their lives. Seeing Charlotte so happy with her new husband and realizing how dysfunctional her own marriage was, Olivia is not ready to move forward in any type of relationship. But her sister is determined for Olivia to be as happy as she is. Enter Scott and his teenage daughter Cat.
A Christmas House Wedding is about forgiving, finding yourself, and moving on. Victoria James put together a beautiful dual plot of Olivia and Scott beginning a new relationship and Olivia’s grandmother Ruby, and Harry who also have a past going back 50 years finally moving toward marriage. Although this is a stand alone book, these stories started in The Christmas House (book 1) and to enjoy fully, reading them in order helps. I loved Scott and his endless patience and understanding for Olivia. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve picked up by Victoria James and I’m adding this to my Christmas re-read list. This is my voluntary and honest review.
I've read quite a few of this authors cowboy books, have enjoyed them all, but had a difficult time connecting with the characters in this book. Story was rather slow, repetitive with the issues within the family unit and new the relationship, it just didn't come together for me. I did enjoy Ruby and Harry, their love story was adorable. Overall, just okay.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
Olivia's daughter stole my heart. I can just picture her with an armful of stuffed animals claiming "mine". Olivia is a great mom. She's just leary around men. For good reason too. Scott truly is one of the good guys. He even cooks and cleans.
A Christmas House Wedding, is a great family type romance.
I really enjoyed The Christmas House, and was thrilled to see A Christmas House Wedding! We got updated on characters we loved both young and old, and we also saw new development with Olivia, who we met in the previous book, when she was most certainly not ready for love. She probably isn't now, either, but her love story with contractor Scott is natural, sweet, and brings hope to someone who was going through a lot when we met her. If you like a sweet, hopeful Christmas romance with a cute small child, this one is for you!
This was a sweet, clean romance book about newly divorced Olivia and her former friend that she hires to fix up the old warehouse that she has purchased to start her business. Olivia's ex-husband comes back to try to patch things up. Olivia has to decide if she is willing to give her ex another shot or if she can trust Scott and if he even feels anything for her. There is also a side story that involves Olivia's grandmother and her former sweetheart that have just informed their families that they are going to get married at the Christmas House on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately not everyone is excited for this union..
I have read several stories by this author because I appreciate the wholesome stories she produces.
This ebook will not work on my kindle. The format isn't working correctly on my paper white . I have tried it on the kindle app on my phone and kindle fire and had the same issue. It's overlapping and running together with no breaks. I would be happy to still read the book to review if kinks are worked out. I can get the book to work on the net galley app on my phone, however that is just not an enjoyable method of reading for me. I hate to send this in on a review, but I sent an e-mail with no response. Please let me know if I can help with anything on my end! I will leave a 5 star review as I don't think it's fair to hurt the author's review rating based on a technical error.
A fantastic story of finding love and letting it in. Olivia’s experience of love has made her lock her heart away, but with gentle coaxing she learns that she is able to begin again as her Grandmother does. A book of hope for all.
This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. It is a quick fun read with likable characters...although the story moves somewhat slowly at times, it does come to a satisfying ending. Written by a talented author, it is a book for sitting by the beach...cuddling in a comfy chair by a warm fire...a book that one might want to read again just for fun...or pass on to a good friend...
A Christmas House Wedding is a decent holiday story but a bit dull. A beautiful cover and a nice lighthearted read to get through the cold nights!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review and opinions are my own.
