I received this book from NetGalley as an ARC. At the time, I just could not finish the book. It was just too much. Since then, I pulled it out again and decided to try again. After all, Kissinger is one of the most influential political thinkers of recent history. I have read a lot of his books in the past. I am happy to say that, this time, I made it through the book. I learned a bit. But, the overall feeling I am left with, unfortunately, is weariness. After 180 books, and now being out of "the game" for quite a length of time, I felt that the author really had nothing new to offer. Same old insights, grudges, and opinions. Just rather tiring.
