Deadpool: Samurai Volume 2 picks up right where Volume 1 ends. Deadpool is off on more adventures and battles with his Samurai squad in Japan. Deadpool’s antics and jokes are really funny and very entertaining. This story will make you laugh and there are so many fun references and Easter eggs in the artwork. If you are a Marvel comics fan there are so many details and references in the story and artwork that you will appreciate.
In Deadpool: Samurai Volume 2 The Merc with a Mouth continues his journey to be a real Hero. Can he do it? You’ll have to read to find out. During his adventures he sees more Avengers, bad guys, and even the Mad Titan!
Like in all Deadpool comics he breaks the 4th wall several times throughout the story. I really enjoy Deadpool’s puns and gags. His antics will make you laugh from start to finish.
If you like Deadpool comics you will enjoy this very entertaining story. This series of Deadpool books is also a great place to start reading manga. Deadpool Volume 1 and 2 are quick reads and will show you how good manga is.
Stay Awesome and keep reading!

Loved the second one just as much as the first! Such a unique take on Deadpool and his antics. Highly recommend
Even more light fluffy fun with Deadpool in Japan. This time, he gets some help from a popular manga hero to fight Thanos, the final boss revealed at the end of the last volume. Later, Loki shows up to cause trouble, bringing an army of villains with him. Fortunately, some of Deadpool's Avenger buds show up to help out as well. When Loki tries to escape, Deadpool follows him and ends up fighting someone he was not expecting to see. Even the more gory bits of fighting are fun in this, because, well, Deadpool. So, yeah, don't expect depth, but if you want some fun fluffy Deadpool manga style, this is it.

Deadpool continues where the fight left off in volume one. Deadpool calls a fellow hero for help but as he is about to click send the message contact accidentally changes to a UA logo. Moments later All Might from My Hero Academia shows up to help Deadpool fight Thanos. This is a team up that I did not anticipate and was pleasantly surprised by. There's not any real storyline besides Deadpool being goofy and fighting other Marvel villains in Japan with a manga layout. It's a good way to get teens to read if they like any of the elements involved.
ARC from Netgalley.
Take everything hilarious and irreverant about Deadpool and combine it with everything crazy and over the top you get from manga, and you get Deadpool Samurai. If you thought Volume 1 was great, this is just as good, if not better.
I won't spoil much here, as you should read it for yourself, but the Volume starts with a battle against Thanos. When questioned how he had healed already, Deadpool comments that he had 4 months since the last Volume came out, so there was plenty of time to heal. (This totally set the tone, and had me laughing hard!) But... when they still can't defeat him, Deadpool calls for help. Who shows up?
"Fear not heroes, you're safe now. Why you ask? 'Cuz I AM HERE" (if you know, you know)
Just read this. You'll thank me.
High recommend.
So I didn’t realize that Deadpool: Samurai was an intentional short serialization until after the fact. Looking back, I think that the title uses its length well but still feels like an average Deadpool miniseries. Thankfully, an average Merc with a Mouth storyline is still enjoyable, and this volume amps up on the geeky fanservice.
In the second volume of Deadpool: Samurai, our heroes are faced with an intergalactic threat: Thanos! Or rather, they must defeat a clone conjured up by Loki. With the stakes simultaneously raised and lowered, it’ll take more than the current slate of characters to save the day. How will Deadpool get out of this and defeat his enemies?
As I said previously, Deadpool: Samurai works best when it’s referencing manga tropes than western comic ones. (The highlight of this volume was a guest appearance of All Might, of all people!) That said, it’s odd that the original characters for this series get written out before the final fight. It’s not even a convincing exit, with one character getting comically injured to have Deadpool fight solo (initially). I would have rather kept the trio (er… quartet) intact for the whole run, but whatever floats the publisher’s boat.
Speaking of which, it was entertaining to have an extra where Deadpool tries to get this manga serialized. It’s a tongue-in-cheek look at the manga’s quality (it’s initially rejected due to being “average”). Honestly, that a bit too on the nose, but I appreciate the self-deprecation. Considering this is only two volumes, I don’t see a reason to skip it if you’re interested.
This one picks up right where we left off in Vol. 1. You get all the typical (and beloved) Deadpool antics! The fourth wall breaks are hilarious - if you're a deadpool fan this is definitely worth a read!
I read and enjoyed Deadpool Samurai, Volume 1 (link to my review) very much, so when I got the opportunity to read the second volume I knew I had to read it. The Merc With the Mouth is back and still doing all sorts of hijinks in Tokyo as part of the newly formed team Samurai Squad. It's been four months since volume one was published. We know this because Deadpool breaks the fourth wall, as he often does, to tell us. Loki is still scheming to take over the world, or at least that is the motive he claims to have (but we later find out his real motive for attacking Japan), and he deploys various tricks including Thanos and other villains. To help out, the Avengers make an appearance to thwart the villains. We also get an appearance from All Might, a character in another manga, so we are getting quite a crossover here. Along the way we get a lot of fun and a bit of silliness.
If you enjoyed the previous volume, you will probably enjoy this one. The volume keeps the fun and silliness combined with a fast pace and entertaining story. This is one that once you pick it up you want to keep on reading. The humor and fourth wall breaks continue to be spot on. I will observe the plot at times did get a bit more convoluted at some points, but overall the story was amusing and fun.
For libraries, if you got the first one, you need to get this one as well. If you have not gotten this series, this is a good selection for your graphic novel and comics collections. Fans of the Deadpool comics will likely enjoy this. It does remain a series I would buy for my library as well as for my personal collection. I am looking forward to the next volume. Overall, great fun.
This volume picks up in Japan and we're back with the lovely Samurai Squad. Sakura Spider, Neiro, and Kage are all there as well as Deadpool and unfortunately Loki is still lurking around. This volume focuses on their battle with Loki. Who adds a new enemy to the battle in the form of alternate universe Deadpool. Which backfires spectacularly on him.
Overall, this was a great volume. Deadpool is back with all his normal antics and fourth wall breaks. If you're a Deadpool fan, I highly recommend checking out this manga.
Deadpool Samurai Vol 2 is out and the wacky adventure continues. The Merc with a Mouth continues his journey to strive for greatness to be seen as a real HERO. But, will this be possible or will he be faced with a devilish handsome foe that not even he can convince about his righteous ways? Want to find out? Yes? then go by the Manga you will not be disappointed.
Is Deadpool’s run-over in the manga? Well with the baddies caught and Loki defeated there is not much further to explore. But, it is Deadpool and he usually finds himself in strange yet wonderful situations that breaks boundaries from comics to manga to the fourth wall. Will I love to see a reference in Deadpool 3 (film starring Ryan Reynolds) to this manga, yes I would absolutely go bonkers if that is ever to happen? Because this manga is truly worth your time.
Picks up where the first volume left off and continues the always exciting and slightly irreverent adventures of Deadpool. Deadpool's interactions with his team, the baddies, and even some Avengers is definitely enjoyable. And as always, his breaking the fourth wall to discuss being in a manga series is truly a delight.
What a fun and hilarious read! If you like the merc with a mouth give this comic a read. I was snorting with laughter throughout the whole volume. The sight gags and breaking of the fourth wall were nicely done and added to the experience. The original characters added for this story are also a delight and feel like fully-fledged characters.
NetGalley gave me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This continues to be a fun mix of eastern and western comic tropes! Deadpool is still delightful with his wall breaking and the action in this one is fun. There are some fun cameos here as well! If you like superhero stories, you'll likely enjoy this series!
The fight continues from volume one with Deadpool and team fighting.... Thanos?!! Deadpool is now a member of Team Samurai in Tokyo and it falls on them to foil the scheming plans of the trickster God Loki. With plenty of comic book references, guest appearances, and comedic breaking of the fourth wall, Deadpool Samurai volume 2 does not disappoint. Kept clean for Jump fans, Deadpool keeps the zingers coming and the action fresh.
Deadpool is big in Japan, no really! Deadpool becomes part of Team Samurai in Japan a beginner group of heroes associated with the Avengers. As the oldest does this mean Deadpool is in charge, my spidey sense is tingling. Hella funny and full of insider manga/comic geek jokes, this series is a fun roller coaster ride, but still accessible for noobs. The Merc with a Mouth had been told to keep it clean for the Jump readers (adolescent crowd) but he stills comes out with the zingers. Fun for all ages, Deadpool takes on Thanos, Loki and himself in the latest adventure.
Check out the cameos in volume 2! Believe IT! This is a fun read for comics fans that will introduce them to Jump style manga.
