A sweet romantic comedy that is predictable but still worth reading. I love Marnie.

This was the first time I have read anything by this author, but it won’t be the last!

Marnie has been working hard her entire life to be a successful business owner and to one day own her grandfather’s old shop in a prominent neighborhood. One mistake with her best customer, Brian, might derail those lifelong goals, but she refuses to let that happen. Instead, she works even harder to fix the mistake. But while doing so, she starts falling for a man who makes her question her current business model and what she’s willing to do to reach her goals. While the relationship with this man grows, she knows that she’s keeping a major secret from him about one of her current clients, which impacts his family. The development of this relationship, along with the disagreements between the two about her job, made me not want to put the book down. I also felt that the author did a good job of getting the reader to see both sides of the argument where neither one was necessarily right nor wrong. They just saw the issue differently.

This book also delved into the lives of others – Marnie’s best friend, Brian, Brian’s wife, and Brian’s mistress. All of the characters were interesting and gave you a different perspective of the book’s events. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote the characters because you could empathize with all of them on some level and I think that’s important for any book to be truly good.

I definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to read Minnie Darke’s other novels!

‘With Love From Wish & Co’, is my first Minnie Darke novel. I quite thoroughly enjoyed this easy to read book. I loved the storyline of a woman that owns a company that buys gifts for other people. Marnie’s ability to ‘stalk/research’ just the right gift, for a person was enlightening. I will definitely seek out other Minnie Darke novels.

Like a cozy sweater, this story brings warm hearted comfort. Minnie makes an innocent mistake at her gift wrapping store and it leads to her life being thrown a few curveballs. Minnie is a great main character, ambitious and driven. Luke and Minnie are well fleshed out and I loved reading their love story unfold. Thanks to NetGalley and Random House for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

For once I have found a RomCom with truly likeable characters and stakes. Luke and Marnie are kind, adult, genuine people who you want to root for the entire time. Marnie makes one honest mistake (as we all do), but it leads to a romance she never saw coming. This novel also posed an interesting question that I had never truly thought about: would you care less about a gift if it was chosen for you by a complete stranger?

A cute, heart warming romance surrounded by tales of love, infidelity, family, and ambition. Marnie has a gift giving shop and an innocent mistake leads to secrets being revealed that have the potential to devastate. Enter Luke, who experiences collateral damage as a result of the mistake but finds love with Marnie. This was a solid 3.5 stars and the writing style felt like a warm blanket being wrapped around me.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

I wish to thank NetGalley and Penguin Random House Publishing - Dell Books for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book. I have voluntarily read and reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a must read for every romantic on the planet. I simply loved the entire concept of the story. A professional gift buyer sounds like the best job in the world and one I that I would love to have. When careful plans go astray how does a professional save the day? You just have to read this one to find out but it is amazing and I loved it from the very beginning until the very end. The characters are delightful and the writing is outstanding. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Marnie the main character stays true to her values even at an immense cost to herself. You will love her.

With Love From Wish & Co had such a great premise and I felt immediately invested in Marnie's predicament. Marnie felt like a very real character with hopes and dreams that were put in jeopardy after mixing up the gifts intended for client Brian's wife and mistress. The book focuses on both Brian and his estranged wife Suzanne as well as Marnie and Brian's son Luke. I felt like the book was at its peak in the chapters featuring Marnie and Luke. I loved their relationship and all the trials they went through felt super realistic and not plot devices. Brian never grew on me, so I wasn't as interested in him and Suzanne mending their relationship. The writing style was excellent and the pacing was perfect.

Marine Fairchild has always dreamed of owning her own business and she does- Wish and Company, a cute store front that sells gifts, wraps gifts and teaches gift wrapping. And Marnie is also a buyer. A buyer of gifts for wealthy folks, mostly men, those who don't have time (many moms), and a few select others. One of Marnie's top clients is Brian Charlesworth a busy, wealthy man who is a terrible gift giver.

Brian has hired Marnie to send a few gifts and she makes a crucial mistake. One that puts her 2nd dream of owning her grandfathers old property in jeopardy. While trying to fix the mistake and keep her dream alive she makes a deal with Mr Charlesworth.

Marnie also meets Luke Charlesworth and they have a few words about the situation that Marnie is involved in. Luke also finds out about a few thing from his past that influence his present and the Charlesworth family future.

Trust me when I say you will want to to read Wish & Co as it is a brilliantly written story about love, family, romance, trust and forgiveness. It tells a wonderful story and is incredibly well written. The characters are beyond real and very believable.

A fun read about Marnie -- the owner of a bespoke gift-buying service -- who has to make up for a huge gaffe. Along the way, she questions her dream and has to figure out what's really important to her.

Thank you to Penguin Random House and NetGalley for the ARC.

Such a cute little read. I am not usually one to read this genre but I gave it a whirl and I was glad I did. Marnie is such a sweet, caring character who goes out of her way to hand pick gifts for strangers. She has to keep her clientele where it currently is if she wants to buy her grandfather's old building that is about to go up for sale. Marnie has never once flubbed up an order until one day, when she sees the building she wants finally up for sale. Marnie tries to reconcile an awful mistake that comes with so many hurdles and heartbreak. I did not wonder whether Marnie could fix her mistake but rather, if someone else would come to her aid. I got to the ending and almost wished it continued. I especially loved the real recipes after the book that were all mentioned in the text. I recommend this book if you love a clean romance.

I loved Marnie. I empathized with her strivings for self-worth and success. Her spectacular fail broke my heart, but sharing the journey of coming back was delightful. This was just such an intriguing book on so many levels, and I love that love prevails.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

I really thought I’d be coming back to this saying “I wanted to love it, but I couldn’t finish it.”

I mean, I’ve had the book downloaded since April now? Not my best, admittedly. BUT - I’m commuting regularly now and that downtime gave me the perfect opportunity to dig into this book. As I said, it took time to get into the book. Looking back, it’s entirely worthwhile to have the information in there and it builds the characters and the plot in a way that I don’t think would exist without the background, but still, it took time.

I genuinely adored the world created in this book - enough characters and changes in POV to keep you interested, but never too many to confuse you. Luke is the friend you just want to shake and tell him that what he thinks isn’t fact and Marnie is the friend that you wish would see more in herself. All in all, well flushed out characters.

This book draws you in, the further you get into it. Is it possible that people will struggle because of the lead up to the big plot points? Possibly. But I think that it makes itself well worth it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for access to this digital ARC.

In With Love from Wish & Co, Marnie Fairchild is a professional gift giver. When her biggest customer tasks her to gift his wife and lover on the same day, bad things are bound to happen. In an attempt to help her client win his wife back, Marnie meets his son who she falls helplessly in love with. Throw in a quest to buy her dream shop, and it makes for a delightful story.

Minnie Darke's novel would make a great beach read or the perfect book if you are looking for a sweet story. I found the plot and characters truly delightful. Thank you NetGalley for an arc of With Love from Wish & Co.

How would you react if you found out the person you thought knew you so well really didn't? This book really gave you something to think about. The idea that someone would figure out all your likes and dislikes to buy you the perfect gift. What if that someone isn't who you thought it was though? This book really made you think about how you might react. Is it really about the gift? Or is it the thought that counts?

Marnie’s been an entrepreneur her entire life. She’s paved a way for herself in a niche market, buying gifts for people that want to take the guesswork out and outsource it all together. Marnie has dedicated her adult life into taking her clients seriously and doing her best, with the hopes that one day she can own a storefront in a legacy building that her grandfather once owned. Which is why, when Marnie makes a huge mistake and swaps gifts for one of her most prestigious clients, the fall out is a mess. Suddenly a marriage has imploded, Marnie’s losing her cash flow and things are quickly spinning out of control. Things get a little more complicated when Marnie meets Luke, the grown son of the man who’s marriage she just ruined. Luke couldn’t be more different than his father and is making his own path, similar to Marnie. With Love From Wish & Co is a delightful, entertaining and hopeful novel by author Minnie Darke. Darke has created characters that are easy to root for and dialogue that is quick, witty and fun. Out this August, With Love From Wish & Co should not be missed!

A sincere thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
