I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience. Note: I ended up purchasing a final copy to read in the future.
I really struggled with this second chance book. Good girl reputation was so good. But the constant back and forth between Gen and Evan was exhausting. We heard about Gen in the first book but not much other than she broke Evan’s heart. While this book isn’t my favorite it’s still a great book.
I really wanted to love this book. I’ve read most of Elle Kennedy’s other books written and loved them but this one just felt different. I couldn’t connect with the characters as much and I had to really push to read it. It’s made me more hesitant to have her be a one click author knowing how I feel about this book.
Kinda hard to get into this book. I kept on going but it just wasn’t for me. This book was enjoyed by many so that’s why I put it in the “It’s me, not you” category
I will never tire of Elle Kennedy and will read anything she writes. This was such a great second chance romance -- one of the best I've read recently and probably my favorite in the series!
Elle Kennedy is an amazing writer and whoever is doing her cover artwork needs a raise. These covers are beautifully done. This second chance romance was definitely worth the read!
I read this book when I received last year, and totally forgot it. Deliberately.
Reason? I don’t usually post bad reviews to trample authors.
But boy! This was not a good book. From characters whole personality to everything. I loved Elle’s Off Campus series. But this? Nope.
Would not recommend it to anyone.
Ahhhh I hate the miscommunication trope and immature characters SO much. I won't elaborate more on this review because I realize that is highly personal but it all but ruined the book for me. You just want to yell at the characters and be like come on you guys....this is so easy to fix if you showed some more maturity.
Posting review a bit late due to some personal circumstances, but absolutely thrilled to have been granted this ARC. Elle Kennedy's books are always must-reads that shoot to the top of my TBR and this is no exception! So fun and lighthearted; ticked all the right boxes.
I loved that this book shows that the people with the darkest past can reform themselves and become their best version and be able to love again
The return to the small town of Avalon Bay was a fun one! I enjoyed Bad Girl Reputation as much as I did Good Girl Complex. I liked Gen and Evans “bad boy” and “bad girl” reputations and it brought some fun and mischief into the book. This book fits the bill for a perfect little spicy, summer beach read. Looking forward to starting book #3 and reading Tate’s story!
Thank you, St. Martin’s Press, and Net Galley, for a gifted copy in return for my honest review!!
I love Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance books so I was excited for this book. Unfortunately I couldn’t get into it . I know a lot of people love it but it just not for me .
Really great book I have had so much reading this and getting to know these lovable characters will definitely continue to read books by this author
I wasn’t able to get into this one. I love Elle Kennedy’s hockey romances but this series has been a miss for me. I greatly appreciate the chance to try it!
I think this book is the perfect read for anyone who wants something light and fun and a little steamy.
Elle Kennedy never fails for me. From the Deal to Bad Girl Reputation, I love them all. This series is light, fun, sexy, and the very definition of a beach read where you can take a break from the real world and immerse yourself in a fun, sexy, heartwarming romance. It was great to meet these characters and revisit old friends.
"Bad Girl Reputation," the second installment in the Avalon Bay series by Elle Kennedy, delivers a compelling tale of second chances and self-discovery.
Genevieve (Gen) returns to Avalon Bay, leaving behind her wild days for a fresh start. But her mother's funeral brings her face-to-face with Evan, her former bad boy beau, and she's suddenly at risk of slipping back into old, self-destructive patterns. Evan, still reeling from Gen's departure, hasn't moved on either, clinging to his high school habits of partying and casual flings. The attraction between them is as intense as ever, but Gen's return dredges up old wounds. Why should Evan open his heart again after being hurt?
The chemistry between Gen and Evan is off the charts. It raises the age-old question: What happens when the person you're drawn to might not be the best for you? This novel brilliantly explores the themes of second chances in romance. Through the present narrative, we get insights into Gen and Evan's high school days, their current lives, and their aspirations. It's a deep dive into the challenges of leaving behind a former self, the importance of supportive loved ones, and the journey to becoming who you truly want to be. A perfect pick for fans of introspective and emotionally rich romances.
Elle Kennedy is an author I always love to pick up. She’s always got the best romances to read and I’m never disappointed.
I always recommend her and will always read her new releases!
Cute and simple book like you could expect from a little romance book. I loved the will they/won't they struggle between Genevieve and Evan, and I read this book very quickly because I was so pulled into the story line. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a copy of this book for an honest review.
When former bad girl Genevieve West returns home for her mother’s funeral, she’s prepared to keep her distance from her ex-boyfriend, Evan Hartley. Their history is rife with turbulence. And passion. A heck of a lot of passion...which she’s trying desperately to forget.
But it’s impossible not to run into Evan in the small coastal town where they once ran wild. And the moment she sees her gorgeous ex again, it’s clear to Gen that Evan is still as unruly, sexy, and irresistible as ever. This time around, however, she’s resolved to walk a new path. No more partying. No more foolish mistakes. Her plan is to temporarily remain in town to help her father run his business, but the second he finds somebody else, she’s out of there.
Evan has other ideas. He knows they can be good together, but he just has to convince Genevieve of that, even if it means turning over a new leaf himself. But can a bad reputation ever truly be shed? Do second chances really work? Genevieve and Evan are about to find out.

Thoughts : I need more after that ending! I want more! Thank you Netgalley for the advanced copy!
