This a quick read. This friends-enemies-lovers romcom was quite enjoyable. This is going to be a spring romance hit.

This book was mostly a miss for me, but it did have some enjoyable part. I really enjoyed the derby setting. The events, the fashion, the “high-falutin” people all made for a great setting for this book. Unfortunately, it couldn’t make up for a flat heroine and douche-y hero. The story starts by throwing us into the middle of a complicated relationship between the two that isn’t really explained. That caused some confusion and really didn’t set a foundation for me to care about their journey. The hero also did a lot of things in the past that a lot of women probably wouldn’t be able to get over, so that was another reason I couldn’t get invested in the relationship.

What a lovely surprise this one is, in my opinion. The characters are charming and easy to like. Their escapades are are fun to follow as they are. A quick read you won’t want to put down.

This book is just okay. The main female character isn't very likeable, so it's hard to root for her. She engages in a lot of self sabotage and is very confusing to try to understand. The storyline skips over important details of the past so that also adds to the confusion of understanding what's going on. I liked the idea of the plot, but the execution of it fell a little short.

From the description of this novel I was instantly intrigued, it sounded right up my ally!
I did however struggle with the way this book was written, I found it a mix of second and third person which sometimes left me a bit confused and having to re-read parts to understand better. I feel like this book was missing a lot of previous character history, instead we are instantly thrown into the deep end. The story is fast paced, I loved the fashion details but I didn’t like the main character. I found her selfish and very unrelatable personally. I liked the story line but felt it just needed a bit more work.

I HAD SO MUCH FUN READING THIS BOOK AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS. Honestly the chemistry was there, Lucy was so funny and Nate was mostly adorable and hot even tho sometimes I hated him. Full review coming soon cause I need to process it and put my thoughts in order but honestly giving it 5* isn't enough for me
