I found this book to be enjoyable. It deals with a common concept of friends on a weekend away with secrets, but the plot flows well and the characters are crafted perfectly. A good read for thriller fans

The Bridesmaids by Victoria Jenkins is a gripping and suspenseful thriller that will captivate fans of psychological thrillers, particularly those who enjoy complex, fast-paced mysteries with multiple plot twists and a sense of tension and unease, as it masterfully weaves together themes of friendship, rivalry, and deception.

he Bridesmaids is a fast paced thriller that had one twist after another. What a tangled web we weave. That applies to every character as their lies and past betrayals are revealed. “But lies are hard to hold onto-slippery, malignant things that are difficult to keep under control.” As truths are revealed lives are shattered and friendships are tested. Lies on top of lies kept me intrigued and racing to the twisty conclusion.

❤️❤️Review❤️❤️

A 24 hour marathon read 👰 The Bridesmaids by Victoria Jenkins was fab fab fab.

This is Holly’s Hen weekend and she is joined by her closest friends who all have HUGE secrets. OMG I literally couldn’t stop reading. Even missed family movie night (although I was in the room - my face was in my kindle) 📖

If you read one book then this must be it.

Thank you to @netgalleyuk for the opportunity to read and review. Massive thank you to @vicwritescrime for this wonderful story!

FIVE STARS Victoria ❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great thriller that keeps you guessing the whole way through this one. Loved the main characters and the way the story unfolded for them.

This story is told in multi POVs. It is a fast paced read.
The characters all felt unreliable and that they were hiding secrets. The plot lacked depth

This was a fast paced mystery thriller and makes you question do you know your friends like you think you do. How does the saying go with friends like these you don’t need enemies.

This book keeps you on your toes with more secrets and lies and twists and turns with the turn of each page.

"The Bridesmaids" by Victoria Jenkins had me hooked right from the start. The setup of the story, introducing each friend and delving into their perspectives, instantly drew me in. As the weekend unfolded, it became apparent that beneath the surface, everyone harbored secrets far more significant than expected. With the usual mix of drinks, games, and unpredictable weather, the book became an addictive read. However, around the halfway mark, I found myself a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of characters. While I generally love a wide range of characters in books, I felt there were one or two too many here, leading to some confusion—I occasionally mixed up two of them. Nevertheless, this didn't detract from the book's intensity. It's packed with moments that require some suspension of disbelief, heartbreaking revelations, and a plethora of twists and surprises. Overall, a very enjoyable read!

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Oh Victoria, you do know how to write a good twisty womens thriller! I have a love for books that center around weddings and women's trips, and the addition of a whodunit was a great addition! Coming from three different women's POVs, we get a great scope of what's going on, however there were a few too many characters at times. A little less would have been easier to keep up with and allowed everyone to be fully fleshed out and shine. However, this didn't take away from the book at all!

As with all good psychological thrillers, you do occasionally have to suspend your belief. But seriously, this one is good! Really good! This was my first novel by this author but it most certainly won't be my last! The cover doesn't do it justice!

I received an advanced copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Victoria Jenkins. 🖤

Yep, another bachelorette party getaway with a group of women who have secrets, agendas, and lies. I quite enjoy these group closed room whodunits, so I was excited to get a copy. It was quite difficult at first to keep who was who straight but once secrets started being uncovered it got easier. However, more and more I despised every single woman. To the point I stopped caring as much about what happened in the story. There were some great unexpected twists but they would have been more explosive had the characters not been so atrocious.

A very good twisty read that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I liked that we knew the basics of what had happened at the very start but not the identity of the victim so the events leading up to it were intriguing. I've read several books now by the author and they have all been gripping. Looking forward to reading from her.

I always dive for books about a group of friends that head off together and had heard a lot of good things about this- The Bridesmaids by Victoria Jenkins. From the off I was so invested, as we met each friend, getting their point of view. Of course all had secrets, and as the weekend deteriorated it transpired they were bigger secrets than I thought. There’s the obligatory drinks, games and weather that make this unputdownable, although though I couldn’t stop reading I found free the halfway mark that I was finding there were slightly too many characters- although I love books with a huge range of characters I felt we definitely had one two many, and I was mixing up two of them but that could have been just me, and it definitely didn’t take away from the explosiveness of the book! There’s a few (again obligatory) suspend disbelief moments, some heartbreaking ones, and a lot of twists and surprises! Very enjoyable! Thanks to the publisher for the book in return for an honest review.

4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my first book by this author and I must say that I was not disappointed!

A girls weekend at a secluded cottage for a bachelorette party? I’m all in!

I am a huge fan of the POV style of writing. This story is told through the eyes of three friends. Friends with juicy secrets. This book was pretty fast paced with some twists and turns to keep me engaged along the way. As with any good psychological thriller, this one kept me guessing the whole time!

Highly recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Victoria Jenkins for my advanced copy to read and review.

Holly is getting married and she and her best friends are having a hen weekend! Drinking and fun for everyone - except, maybe for the body floating in the pool!

What could have gone wrong? A weekend to party, to relax, to unwind...to murder.

This was a book full of drama. Seriously, once it got started it didn't let up. These six women all have secrets - some bigger than others -much, much bigger.

The book is told in the here and now and in the past. As the secrets unravel, we learn more through flashbacks to the past and reveals in the present.

I chalk this book up to a fun weekend read. It hit the spot, was entertaining and enjoyable. This would also make a nice airplane book as it can easily be read in one sitting and you won’t grow bored.

Told by different POV’s The Bridesmaids by Victoria Jenkins is about six friends enjoying a celebration weekend getaway at a remote cabin before Holly’s wedding which ends in a tragedy . Took me some time to keep track of the characters but the pace quickens at the later half of the book .Terrible characters who have no morals or thoughts for anybody else but in this story it works. However I did enjoy the author’s writing style and the twists and turns . Overall 3 ½ stars.

I would like to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.
