WOW! “Tell yourself something enough times and eventually it becomes the truth.” This story is fantastic. All the drama, twists and turns! There was really like 5 stories going on at once but they all were connected and wrapped up perfectly. Nothing was left unsaid. I like how the chapters were told from different view points of the bride and bridesmaids. The ‘future’ part of the story, you knew nothing until the end! I would read this book again.
“The Bridesmaids” by Victoria Jenkins is a thriller/mystery - including the twists, turns, and roller coaster of who might’ve done it, who thought about doing it, and motive for seemingly everyone. This book is told from multiple points of view and I will admit to having an issue keeping track of who was speaking; additionally it took me a while to keep the women (and their individual story lines) separate. The plot itself is straight forward, but each woman’s connection to it - and what they’re hiding - is what gave this book a lot of interest. A solid 3.5 star review from me.
Wow! This book! The lies, deceit, secrets, betrayal were never ending!! The twists and turns just kept coming. This book had me hooked from the first page until the very last sentence. Victoria Jenkins never disappoints!
This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Bookouture and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
A thriller that will keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat.
I really liked this book. The characters in this book were great with all of their issues and drama. I also really liked all the twist and turns in the storyline as we find out what had been happening and why it happened. It was really well written too.
The Bridesmaids had me hooked from the beginning. I read this book in one day. I was engrossed in what was going to happen between these old friends away at a hen party and having a little girls weekend and you never see the twisty thrill ride coming. I had to know how everything was going to play out with Holly and her friends. There are so many shocking twists!! It was kinda like watching the Real Housewives and Bad Girls Club mixed together. These women are fun, ruthless and full of secrets. Once the secrets start spilling and the betrayals are out the bag, everything changes.
Firstly, I am thankful for the opportunity to have received a free advanced copy of this Ebook through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
This one was so good. So much drama, so many twists. A group of friends away for a Hen’s Party weekend. No one can be trusted, and everyone has secrets, some spanning decades and everyone is out to save themselves. Switching between the different characters POV’s we eventually discover all the secrets, until one final unexpected revelation is revealed.
I rate this Ebook 5 Stars and would recommend to those who enjoy their psychological thrillers.

Was drawn to this one by the title and the cover. Holly is getting married and invites a close group of her friends on a weekend getaway before she ties the knot. Before the the weekend is up one of them ends up dead. All these women are suspects. I thought I had worked this one out but WRONG…..I love a good psychological thriller and this one went above my expectations. The twists and turns, the suspense, the shock factors! It was all enough to keep me reading, especially as I got closer to the end.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I haven't read thrillers in a while that 's why I got so excited when my request to review this book was approved. Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture!
I decided to give this book a 3-star rating for various reasons. First, I like the book's premise. As what I've mentioned,I haven't read thrillers for quite some time that's why I decided to give it a try.
While reading the bookI I enjoyed the shift in POVs of the characters, it adds more thrill and excitement as to is there to discover about the bridesmaids.
Another thing I loved about the novel is the title. After I finished the book, I realized that "The Bridesmaids" was a very fitting title for the story.
While I enjoyed reading the book and got entertained by the story on the whole, I was still not convinced to give it a 4 or 5 stars. I don't find the plot unique and I did not get the ending I thought I'd get. As I progressed in reading the book, I got reminded so much of Liane Moriarty's Big Little Lies, though I tried my hardest not to compare the two while reading, the plot has lead me on that direction until the ending. Also, the writing style was more of telling and not showing, which was a major let down for me.
This book was really good, enjoyed it so much, I just could not put it down , at all.. the ending was fantastic and I couldn’t have guessed it at all, read it you will love it ..
Holly is set to get married to Aaron, the second love of her life. It's time for her hen weekend with all of her friends - Toni, Suzanne, Martha, Claire, and Zoe. When the day comes, Toni almost backs out because her teenage daughter, Georgia, is having an issue. After convincing Georgia to come along, all of the women set off to celebrate Holly.
Unfortunately, the weekend doesn't go as planned. Every woman in the group has a secret that affects another friend in the group - and all of those secrets are letting loose. From money to Instagram pictures to a long-ago secret of Holly's first love, Joseph, and finally ending with a body in the pool. Who is it and how did she end up there?
I see that there are a lot of really good reviews for this book but I just don't see it. I did really enjoy the secrets and the complexity of the book . However, there were too many characters and too much going on. I felt like when one chapter would start with one character's story, it would abruptly stop and another would start. It was confusing to try and keep everything straight.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for an opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this page turning thriller. Hollly and her bridesmaids go away for a hens weekend. Everything is fine until a body is found in the pool. Holly realises to her horror that one of the bridesmaids is a killer- but which one and why?? Past events and secrets unravel, taunting and haunting the group. The development of each of the characters in the story is great - the twisty suspense builds from the very beginning of the story, all the while urging the reader to keep going. This is the first book I have read by this author, and it will not be my last. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
Oh my, this book will leave you shocked. That is what a good thriller does. That last POV got me. The best of the best isn't the best at all. Everyone gat secrets.
It was easy to read and it caught my attention from the first page. Everyone should read this. Thanks to Netgallery for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great read with lots of drama, mysteries etc. But it also tackled the realms of friendship and how a person you think you know everything about can turn into someone you barely recognise now. All in all, maybe the drama was a tad bit too much, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It was easy to read and would definitely recommend. Thank you Victoria Jenkins and Bookouture for this e-arc!
3.5 ⭐️ In short this book was good. Fast paced and easy read. It had so much drama and twists!
The story really makes you think that are the people who are your friends really your friends? And how well can you really know someone even if you’ve known them for decades!
The only negative id say is that the POVs got a bit confusing for me at times. The last chapter (Holly’s POV) left me stunned! I did not expect that last twist at all!
Holly was described as the best of the bunch but is she?
Although Martha seemed bitchy at first I really liked her character.
Georgia got on my nerves! She was like bratty, rude, cruel child that we’ve all encountered at least once in our lives and I disliked her personality heavily. Toni was a slave to her daughters manipulations. Georgie was the way she was bc of Toni.
Zoe— I have no words. She— just wow
Clair was a MESS but Shes the only one I felt bad for in the end.
Suzanne was a giant snake! Her and Holly’s friendship reminded me of the girls from “dead to me” show on Netflix! Also her mother… honestly who needs an enemy when you can have a mother who holds things over your head for your entire life!
I HATE both Suzanne and Martha’s parent! What awfulness those two suffered as kids! The lost opportunities and happiness at the hands of their parents!
Overall, Whata page turner this book was! Within two days two decades worth of secrets were exposed!
This was a really juicy thrilling mystery filled with a lot of back stabbing, secrets, & deceit. I felt like everyone’s lies intertwined really well making the story complex with great twists & turns up until the end. I was able to kind of guess a couple of things that happened towards the end but there were 2 big events that took me totally by surprise. I loved the writing style and the alternating points of view and would definitely read more from this author in the future.
I want to be clear that when I say this is trashy, I mean it with all the love in the world. This is the GOOD trashy. This is the train wreck of hen parties where not only does everything that can go wrong actually go wrong, but it goes wrong in wonderfully horrible ways!
I couldn’t look away.
The best thing was that every last time I swore I knew what someone’s secret would be, it was SO MUCH WORSE! Like, Holy Crap are all these characters the spawn of trash TV villains?
No stuffy highbrow literature here – just munching popcorn and happily reading the next scandalous secret.

Wow! I didn't know what to expect from The Bridesmaids by Victoria Jenkins - But I'm SO happy that I pushed this up my TBR list and read it as soon as I was approved. As a bride-to-be, I love the thrillers surrounding a pre-wedding party. I know, dark, right?
At first, I was a bit confused because there is a good amount of characters and the POVs alternate between short chapters. However, once I reached the midway point I knew who each character was, as well as their secret(s) - And they ALL had them. This one kept me on my toes, was fast-paced and atmospheric. This is one of those books that won't get as much publicity as others on social media, but FULLY deserves to, and I plan on helping with that! 5 stars in my book.
Wow! This was gripping right from the start!
Trust no one in this novel, everyone has a secret and they all will do anything to protect themselves
I loved the character background, the writers way with words and the book format. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes a thriller!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this novel
I have read and loved all of Victoria’s previous books so couldn’t wait to start this one. It took me a while to get to grips with the numerous characters, as it chopped and changed between their respective narratives. However once I got into it, I loved it! Tense and twisty, it’s another cracker of a novel!
