I absolutely adore books from this author. She is an auto buy for me. I like her writing style and the way that the characters just jump out from the page and you feel like they are trying to tell you their story personally. Such a great thriller highly recommend definitely add this book to your to be read pile.
With friends like these, who needs enemies? I was intrigued by the plot of this book but found myself put off by the lies told by everyone and the level of deception that bordered on unbelievable. This book did not play out like I had imagined but I would say it’s a quick read
A great psychological thriller where you will be asking yourself ‘do I really know my friends?’ Lots of secrets and twists. I enjoyed!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read it.
3 stars!
Unfortunately, probably because I read a lot of thrillers, I felt like this book was just kinda generic, and no one really stood out to me. I would recommend this to people who are newly getting into thrillers.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!
Ugh. Please give me the whole day I spent slouching and trying to get through this book. Sorry but I did not like this one bit! And the main character? So annoying!
Thanks to Netgalley! Hoping for a better read next time!
This was such a fast paced read and easy to keep up with. There’s so many secrets and lies and unreliable characters and the twists are just one after another. It was such a fun read but not the best one I’ve ever read, I’d recommend this one for people new to thrillers who like to read in one sitting!!
An enjoyable audiobook from Victoria Jenkins. Good engaging narration and a solid storyline, with a few predictable twists.
I absolutely love the ‘locked room’ trope and this was a perfect example of this. I thought the drama and suspense was perfect and I didn’t guess the ending which is always a bonus!
Told by 3 different povs, this book kept me flipping the pages. Oh my the drama. The plot was what grabbed me in the first place. It has a past and present theme. It moves at a fast pace. It has an unpredictable ending so that was a winner for me.
Unfortunately, I have been locked out of my netgalley account for a few months and was not able to see which books I had on my list, in order to properly read and review. I do apologize and am doing a 3 for neutral. Will update once I’m able to obtain a copy and read!
This was a rollercoaster ride, mostly enjoyable but at times I felt it swerved a little off course!
There was lots going on and a whole bunch of unlikeable characters which at times tested the bounds of credibility. That said, it was a fun and entertaining read which I enjoyed, and the various twists and turns kept my interest enough to finish the story.
This book had a strong premise, I enjoyed the fact everyone had secrets, some a lot worse than others. But the ending fell a bit flat for me, it felt like their was all this hype for it then to just be ‘the end’
A terrific thriller depicting the story of a hen party gone wrong when a body is found floating in the pool. What made this seemingly perfect friendship go south and who is the ruthless killer? I loved this book!
A fast past twisty read with lots of unexpected jaw dropping moments!
I loved the pace of the book, even with the annoying characters there was plenty of drama packed in to keep me guessing along the way.
Synopsis: Holly is getting married, but not before a celebration weekend with her closest friends. After a night of arguments, a body is found floating in the swimming pool of their secluded cottage. Holly must face up to the truth – one of her bridesmaids is a killer, but which one?
New beginnings. Old rivalries.
Best friends. Bad blood.
Six bridesmaids. One body.
I got heavy "Lifetime Movie" vibes from this book. There is drama, secrets, and history. The story frequently jumps from past to present and is easy to follow. A bit predictable, but an enjoyable vacation read nonetheless.
You will find yourself wondering how these women are even friends...
Many thanks to Net Galley and Bookouture for the advance copy.
Good book! This book had so many twists and turns that in a few spots I was lost at times lol but it also had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, mystery and a crazy who done it! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my Kindle! I will recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
What a brilliant twisty thriller this is.
Full of highly unlikeable characters and secrets galore you can't work out who to trust and time and time again I got it wrong.
Set around Holly's hen weekend each of the girls involved has secrets to hide and a tightly woven plot keeps you gripped until the end.
Very easy to read with fantastic short and snappy chapters I'd definitely recommend this one.
Hollys bridesmaids have organised a hen party in a remote house. For various reasons noone wants to be there. Everyone has a secret of some sort and all these converge to make a good story which ends in murder. But who did it and why?
I really enjoyed the various stories that threaded through this book. They all twist and turn and come together.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for granting me an advance copy
Excellent read, always go to author. This book kept me gripped throughout, looking forward to more from this author
Page turning action that keeps you guessing until the end. Full of a cast of characters and intriguing plot. I could definitely see this being made into a movie. Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read an early copy.
