Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this to read and honestly review! This was a super simple and fluffy BL manga that might have been a nice read if it's your first read within the genre, but I found this very cliche and its simplicity one of its faults. While the art was nice and I enjoyed the absence of homophobia as a conflict, this isn't something I haven't read before and struggled to connect with. I was also not expecting the 18+ aspect in the last couple chapters given the age group and wasn't comfortable with it having expected this to be Shounen-Ai.
This wasn't my favorite--as it follows the shy boy X popular boy trope that is pretty predictable. It just came off too insta-lovey to me.
BL mangas majorly have a type, either it's cute or it's totally not.
This one falls somewhere 70% into the second category. The plot was simple (and I love simple and a but is coming) but this one was just random.
Was not into the book so much.
Honestly, no.
The plot was boring and cliche, it relied heavily on miscommunication and jealousy to advance the story but it was done so poorly. Also, come on.. insta love??? So many red flags as well. Oh and you're hit with 18+ content so RANDOMLY. I had to sit back and stop reading to collect myself cause I did not expect it whatsoever (ps they're also high school students and they make out like 30 pages in and fuck three times throughout the 170 pages, yeah ew).
Just really really not my cup of tea.
2.5 stars. it started off pretty cute and fluffy then some questionable stuff started happening and before i knew it this was 18+ which i clearly wasn’t expecting. i would’ve enjoyed it more had it not been instalove and set in highschool. i did however like the message of boundaries in the beginning of the story before the "apology."
Alrighty, so I thought this was cute for the most part. I loved the art. But I thought it was under developed. Insta love is fine by me, but I would have liked to see them actually fall deeper in love instead of going from dating to wanting to bang so quickly (Which honestly I was surprised on that front??? Like they are high school kids and I was not expecting the boinking). I mean I get it...hormones and all, but I'd have liked to see what made them actually fall in love with each other. I was a good palate cleanser from a disappointing book I'd read just before this. I do think the jealousy bit was annoying, but didn't take away my enjoyment of the story.
An adorable loud-and-popular/soft-and-shy pairing, with beautiful art and character design. This sweet story is low on conflict, and full of sweet interactions.
While cute, this isn’t one of my top faves in the BL romance category. However, I still enjoyed the friends to lovers story. It was quick, fun, and enjoyable. I got a little annoyed with the miscommunication/jealousy trope but I also know that high schoolers are like that.
Tomorrow, Make Me Yours has a classic Yaoi storyline: Yuki, a quiet student, has a secret crush on a popular kid, Hayato. They become friends when Hayato makes an effort to grow their friendship and eventually when Yuki confesses his true feelings, Hayato reveals that he feels the same way.
For seasoned Yaoi readers, this story won’t have much to offer that hasn't been done before, but I still enjoyed it. It’s soft and sweet with just a little heat. I think it would be a good choice for someone who is just starting out exploring Yaoi manga.

3.5/5 stars
Tomorrow, make me yours is a single-volume BL that I found very nice, but it didn't impact me like other manga, of the same style, have done :(
The story is about Yuki and Hayato, how they start a friendship that leads them to be boyfriends, and how they manage their relationship.
I liked both Yuki and Hayato a lot, they are very cute, especially before starting the relationship. And their relationship has been very nice, except for a few moments when Hayato gets carried away by jealousy and imposes himself on Yuki. I appreciate that this behavior is criticized within the story and Hayato reconsiders.
I also liked the drawing style, but as I said before, I don't give it more stars because it hasn't touched my heart, despite being pretty.
A little fast paced. It would have been fun to have more highjinks going on before they admitted feelings and moved on but it was enjoyable and I’d read more of these characters.
This is adorable and absolutely a super pure pairing. They’re both such soft, sweet, shy boys and I love their friendship turned romance. I really enjoyed this as a quick, light read and look forward to more stories from this mangaka.
I requested this Manga from Netgalley (TQ) because I love to read Mangas. All genres. This is a BL Manga. The plot is too simple and very cliche. I didn’t like how pushy Hayato can be. The drawings are ok.
TW : 18sx Graphics which caught me off guard since it is about High School students
I just reviewed Tomorrow, Make Me Yours by Kaoruko Miyama. #TomorrowMakeMeYours #NetGalley
Thank you to the publisher TokyoPop for providing an e-ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.
Tomorrow, Make Me Yours is ultimately just a series of popular romance tropes strung together across a single manga volume. Which isn’t an inherently bad thing - most people come to the romance genre to see these familiar, well-worn tropes played out towards a happy ending. But one would hope for some kind of twist or distinctive way in which these tropes are woven together. Instead, we get a rapid-fire series of clichés crammed into a single volume like the manga artist was marking off a checklist. Popular extrovert with unpopular introvert? Check. Visit my house but no one is home? Check. Sharing a bed check? And that’s only in the span of two chapters.
I didn’t feel like a single volume gave enough time for any kind of significant relationship building here, which made the romance a bit lackluster overall. If the tropes don’t work and the romance feels rushed, there’s really nothing here to sell the story other than the art. Which was nice, though not a standout across the styles I’ve enjoyed in the past. I would consider it the best part of this manga as a whole, which is maybe not the best thing to say about a story where the selling point is supposed to be the relationship and character work expected in this fluffy, feel-good genre.
Maybe if you’re a hardcore BL fan that will read anything and everything in the genre and isn’t put off by overuse of clichés Tomorrow, Make Me Yours could be for you. But I can’t help but ask myself… what was the point?
Yuki and Hayato are so cute and gave me strong Nick & Charlie ( Heartstopper) vibes. I'm glad this was my first ever foray into Manga and know it won't be my last. I found their relationship to be adorable and liked that they were mature enough to talk to each other about it. Yuki is super shy and it was nice to see him make the first step towards not overthinking everything and make some new friends. I would recommend this for teenagers (17+) as a good intro to gay men having sex because it does not hold back on showing how that actually happens. It would be good for young gay kids to have this to turn to for that. The sex was definitely steamy and had me fanning myself a little bit there. It would teach them about setting their pace in a relationship and speaking up about what they want from their partner and asking the other person for permission ( which our Hayato learnt) before jumping into physical stuff. I enjoyed this immensely and look forward to other works by the author in future.
This is such a cute BL manga. I was shocked and happily surprised towards the kind of raunchy scenes at the end. If you aren't a fan of 18+ content, maybe skip the end of the manga. Overall, really great manga, and a cute short story.
I would like to thank Netgalley and TOKYOPOP for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I’m not new to the manga medium but I haven’t read a lot of romance and slice of life, however, I do enjoy contemporary novels with LGBTQ+ representation so I decided to give this one a go… and I was pleasantly surprised but not blown away.
We follow Yuki and Hayato as they meet on their senior year of high school. Yuki being shy and Hayato an outgoing popular guy. They develop an unlikely friendship and start sharing aspects of their lives with each other.
The story moved a little too fast for my taste, so if you are looking for a slow-burn romance this might not be it. However, we’ll get to see them develop as a couple and I think that’s a unique trait for this type of story.
You’ll find typical romance cliché tropes such as miscommunication and jealousy. This has also 18+ content. The eARC I was provided with had partial censorship but just beware of it in case adult content makes you uncomfortable.
I can’t say this is a new favorite series of mine but I’m curious how the relationship will develop. I’d recommend this to anyone that likes BL or wants to dop their toes into the genre.
Shy Matsumiya Yuki attracts the attention of his sociable classmate, Izumiya Hayato.
This is the most boring, generic BL manga I have ever read. Neither of the main characters have personalities, much less chemistry, but of course they fall in instalove the moment they look at each other. Then the story hits all of the generic beats: a misunderstanding over something small (and of course, letting the uneasiness fester instead of talking about it), the seme becoming jealous of the uke having other friends, hurt feelings for about one chapter, the inevitable sappy make up, and a rushed sex scene.
An unenjoyable waste of time. BL fans and manga readers alike will be vastly disappointed by the total lack of substance.
This was a cute read. From the cover, I thought it would be a shonen-ai but there is a little sex scene still.
Here, we follow Yuki who is a quiet teenager in high school. When a new year begins, he is suddenly in the same class as Hayato, a cool guy, who starts to talk to him and hang out with him. As a read, you can see from the beginning that Hayato really likes Yuki but Yuki doesn’t see it. The characters are cute and I like that the popular guy did not just talk to the quiet one because they are always alone, but because he actually likes him. It’s a nice change. However, the thing I liked less was the rush in the relationship. I mean, the sex scene did not bring much to the story and I don’t really get why it’s here. The art was nice and cute though.
I recommend to people looking for innocents, but not so innocents, characters.
3/5
A quick read about the popular kid falling for the shy kid dynamic. The plot was just okay. I would not mind if it has a lot of clichés and stereotypes usually found in BL manga as long as it was still enjoyable and well-written. However, there was not much in the plot and the romance was too fast for my liking. Misunderstanding and jealousy played key roles to keep the plot moving. The plot would have been better if there were more character depth and background. Also, just a warning, there were very intimate scenes between minors.
The art style was really adorable. I liked how the characters look so pretty.
3/5 stars!
