Short and sweet, I loved the airport setting and while the characters weren't awful, I didn't enjoy them all that much. I think I might just not vibe with this author's characters and plot lines anymore, but her writing is still wonderful!

I love Denise Williams and this novella was a perfect addition to her works. The problem solving mixed in with the romance was a perfect blend.

I enjoyed this one the most out of the trio, but I'm a sucker for friends to more romances! It was fast and sweet, just what I needed to break through my reading funk.

This was another hit from Denise Williams in my book. All three of these novellas were a ton of fun. I'm usually not a fan of friends to lovers, but this setting combined with the fast pace of the novella, made it absolutely work for me! My only very minor issue is that while I enjoyed reading it, I think this one is definitely meant to be listened to, so I'd pick up the audiobook next time instead.

Always a sucker for a book set in an airport. This short and sweet rom-com captured my heart and gave me the feels. I do love a friend's to lovers HEA.

This was my favourite out of Denise William's three airport based novellas. I love friends-to-lovers and I think that she did it really well in this one. Short and extra sweet, this one was the perfect end to the novella trilogy. I still think that as a whole, they all fell a little flat for me, but were enjoyable.

The Sweetest Connection is the last of the three Airport Novellas by Denise Williams. This story is about Teagan who works in an airport candy store but is wishing for more from life. She’s about to move across the world.

Silas works in airline customer service. Teagan is his best friend. The two find a love letter they want to return to its owner. As they work together to find the owner, the connection between them begins to grow.

I think this was my favorite of the three novellas, though I really did enjoy them all.

It’s easy to say I’ll definitely be reading all of Denise Williams’s other books when I’m looking for a refreshing and uplifting love story.

I received a gifted copy.

If Denise Williams writes it then I will absolutely read it! I loved these novellas she wrote and I hope she will write more in the future. This book was short and sweet but was such a good story. I was intrigued and I wanted more of course, but Denise does a great job of wrapping up a story in a short amount of time in these Novellas.

Thank you #Netgalley for providing me with an arc of #TheSweetestConnection

This was short and sweet, and I really enjoyed the mystery element. I was a little annoyed with Silas for pretending he had a girlfriend the whole time, but overall this was a cute read that I very much enjoyed.

My favorite of the Denise Williams novellas yet! I hope Williams keeps writing more novellas - I love her novels, of course, but I had such a great time reading all of these novellas this summer. The mystery in this one really got me!

Another cute novella in the airport series! I really enjoyed Teagan and Silas' story but only wished he had written the note! I will admit to enjoying the twist at the end of who it actually belonged to! Another great read from Denise Williams!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

A friends to lovers romance, I really enjoyed this one! Denise Williams is one of my favorite contemporary romance authors and delivers a wonderful story every single time. A lot of cuteness and shenanigans at an airport between two friends who've known each other for years. The perfect trope candy!

I swear, the more that I read these airport novellas I fall in love over and over again. Denise Williams is one of my favorite authors and she really brought it with The Sweetest Connection. Teagan and Silas are couple goals. If you love friends to lovers then you will love this novella.

“Pros. She’s my best friend. Seeing her is the best thing about working here. I could listen to her stories for hours. I’m in love with her. I think I always have been. Cons. If I lost her, I don’t know what I’d do. I’d have to see her in the terminal all the time if it didn’t work out. She doesn’t know I’m in love with her and it might be too late to tell her.”

Teagan and Silas have been best friends since they were first introduced at college orientation, but there are lingering feelings on both sides. Neither wants to admit their feelings for the other as they are afraid of losing their friendship by taking things to the next level romantically. Teagan finally decides to take the trip of a lifetime to study abroad, and when she finds a pros and cons list in the trash, she enlists Silas to help her find out who it belongs to. This adventure leads them down a path to either finally act on their feelings for each other or lose the chance forever.

I am not usually a fan of friends to lovers romance because there isn’t much conflict in it, but this novella changed my mind. Teagan and Silas had a magnetic pull to each other, and I could feel the longing through the pages of this book from them both. I kept wishing that one of them would be brave and say something. Anything. Life is too short to deprive yourself of happiness and love. Then Silas finally made his move, and it was just what I wanted. This was a super cute novella. Not much angst. Just love, friendship, and happiness. It was just what I was needing.

I think if you’re a fan of authors like Mia Sosa and Ali Hazelwood then this novella would be right up your alley.

My overall series thoughts: meh with astounding audiobook narrators. This is probably the best novella of the trilogy (mostly because the HEA was more convincing with the seven-year-long friendship). Read via audio.

Romance novellas are pretty hit and miss with me. I often find that the length does not give enough time to develop the tension and relationship between the two characters. I have to say that The Sweetest Connection surprised me. I really liked the other two in the series, but this one really held its own. I really liked the set up where the characters already had an established relationship. There was no need for a meet cute and readers know from the beginning the dynamics of the relationship: Teagan and Silas are best friends. Silas works at the airline counter across form the sweets shop where Teagan works. Teagan is set on a trip abroad to study which creates a dilemma. When Teagan finds a pros and cons list on the floor of the shop about dating a friend, she enlists Silas in helping her find who in the airport might have the potential for a budding relationship.

Overall, I really liked this book. This is a pure friends to lovers story. It's cozy, romantic and sweet. The characters are likable and the conflict is minimal. It is a wonderful afternoon read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC and the opportunity to read and review The Sweetest Connection by Denise Williams.

As a somewhat frequent flier- my only regret is not waiting to read this when I was traveling. It was the perfect serving size for a layover- not too short, not too long- leaving me quite satisfied. And perfect for in between longer books.

Sometimes I struggle with the shorter length of novellas, but these did a fabulous job of capturing the elements I love in a romance in a compressed format. Fun and escapist with a sprinkle of steam albeit lighter on the eggplant scale than Williams' other books.

Teagan and Silas's journey from best friends to soulmate was so sweet.
