Their witty banter is charming and has the perfect flow of lifelong friends. I love the enchanting town of Windfall. It’s full of quirky, staunchly loyal characters and mountains of love. I loved this gritty, tear-jerking, hard fought HEA. If you enjoy a heart-wrenching second-chance romance that will make you belly laugh, 50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover is your next must-read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first person POV as told from the hero’s perspective. John Lane gives a phenomenal performance as Edgar Bower. His range of personality from awkward, self-deprecating goofball to impassioned man fighting for his lost love is captivating. John perfectly depicts this tragic, emotionally raw, and heartwarming story of young love lost and fresh starts. John’s solo narration brings Kelly’s words to life beautifully. His low, gruff timbre is well-fitted to the lovelorn Edgar. Kelly Siskind and John Lane have served up a flawless audiobook that will rip your heart out and piece you back together.

3.5 stars rounded up simply because of E's dogged adorableness in his worship of Delilah.

The setup of this book is so outlandish that it is really adorable - E's family has been in the witness protection program for the last ten years after his father gets tangled up with a drug cartel. Whisked away from his one true love the *very* same night as their first time together, both E and Delilah are heartbroken. Fast forward ten years and a flight delay and re-routing lands E and Delilah on the same flight - literally one row separated. When E's family finally gets the all-clear to resume their true identities, E can't get back to his hometown fast enough with his grand plan to woo Delilah.

This book is told from E's point of view in first person. It's a set up you don't usually see in romance where most single POV books recently in the contemporary space have been from the female main character's perspective. If you're a sucker for a man absolutely gone for his love, then E is for you. He gives new meaning to head over heels and Delilah never stood a chance for his grand gestures. The tiny town of Windfall is a character unto itself and all the various side characters in this story bring a lot of depth and laughs.

This is clearly set up to be a new series following each of the brothers, but the set up for all of them seems to be the same (second chance-ish), so hopefully, there are some differentiating factors. Also, this book is just too long. Plenty of places to cut to make this an easier read that didn't feel like such a slog, especially in the beginning.

Content warnings: one of the main characters is in a car accident in the past and there are graphic discussions of that event and the aftermath.

This slow burn romance has an intriguing storyline that holds you captivated and eager for more in this series. It ticks all the boxes and gives you witty banter, plenty of emotions, passion, family and is thoroughly entertaining. You will feel an instant connection to Edgar and Delilah as he tries to win back his high school sweetheart. Their story maybe emotional at times but also has some romantic comedy to lighten the mood. A great start to this series and cannot wait to take another trip back to Windfall as I am keen for Desmond's story.

I think I just went into this book with a wrong impression of what I was going to be reading. From the synopsis, I thought we'd end up with a romcom small-town vibe, but instead it was just stilted angst. They don't have to act like teenagers just because they were teenagers when they last saw each other. I felt like the fact that the whole family was in witness protection wasn't taken nearly as seriously, and it made no sense to hold that against a guy who had been a teenager at the time everything happened.

I enjoyed thisit was a quick read, full of romance , cute characters and a nice story. I liked the fact it was male POV for a change, but I also thought the authors descriptions felt a bit awkward or needed work, it at times feels heavy handed and I think needed a few more lighter moments, but an enjoyable read

This was between a 2.5 and 3 read. I just couldn't get into this story. It is very slow moving, and the fact that it's only told from the male's POV is a mark against it for me. The hero is also not my kind of hero. I understand that betas are for a lot of people, they just aren't for me. I found it super annoying that Delilah held it against Edgar that he disappeared without telling her, but he was in witness protection for crying out loud. What was he supposed to do? Take a chance on getting his whole family killed to tell a 16 year old girl where he was? I was almost expecting a light hearted read, but that's not what I got from this one.

Edgar, or E as his friends and family call him, is living his best life. He loves his life. But when forces outside of his control blow his life up, he knows that he'll never be the same. The saving grace is that he had his brothers along for the bumpy, turbulent ride.

Delilah is E's first love. E is her first love. But now that she's engaged and has moved on with her life, life decides to laugh at her plans. When her future becomes upturned again, Delilah isn't sure what to make of this new twist of fate.

As Delilah and E find their way back from what tore them apart, both have to decide how they want their ending to be – they get to choose this time and it will take all of E's wits and charm to make Delilah remember and want to try again.

This is a story that has tons of emotion and saving grace within each relationship that you get to delve into.

I can't wait for the next book. I think it's going to be even more epic than this one.

After reading 5 Tricks to Seducing Your Enemy and loving it, I was a little disappointed with this one. I didn't laugh as much and I had a few problems with plot points:

I'm not keen on 17-year-olds having on page sex in an adult romance. If I wanted young love, sex scenes with minors, I'd read YA.

The hero sees the scars and it doesn't even cross his mind to wonder? We see him acknowledge the scars and the fact that he isn't going to ask about him, but he doesn't wonder at all about the implications of it. Overall it felt like a red herring that I didn't enjoy.

Everyone is incredibly mad at the hero for something that his family did - disappearing without a trace. Yes they all apologize when they realize it was a good reason, but no one bothers saying "yeah, no matter what the reason was you were a kid and had no control over what your parents made you do"

This book is now one of my most favorite books of 2022. E and his family definitely deserved their second chance after everything that had happened to them. I’m glad he and Delilah found their way back to each other but I am anxiously waiting for Sadie and Desmond’s story. That one will probably rip my heart out more than this one did.

This book was awkward and hilarious and so fun! The unique story line and only male point of view definitely kept me entertained. It’s the perfect balance of quirky and endearing with an endless amount of heart (and steam!).

50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover by Kelly Siskind was published this past Tuesday. It's a sweet second-chance romance for Edgar, one of five brothers who have been in witness protection for the last ten years after their father was arrested for a money laundering scheme. E is able to finally return to his small hometown to attempt to win back Delilah, his first love., even though she's now engaged. Manned with his list, E works tirelessly to get to know the person Delilah has become, and he learns about himself along the way.
This is the first in a new series, one book per brother. I was swept into the story from the start. This is a good romance with an interesting premise and great character development. Oh, and the adorable dog in the book is named Candy Cane - that alone should be a reason to check it out! It's available on Kindle Unlimited for subscribers.

This is the first book I've read by the author and I really enjoyed Delilah and Edgar's story. The storyline and characters kept my attention throughout. And it's really interesting that it's written in a male's POV instead of female like usual. I really loved reading Edgar's feelings and thoughts about everything. That really intrigued me. Overall, this is a great read.

For me, this was so far fetched-just really out there, that I was just shaking my head and thinking REALLY?? This is not to say that the book wasn't fun-it was silly and I felt like Brian was stuck in high school. Honestly, I shouldn't have read this. So many things were telling me not to read it. A non-cartoon cover, a second chance romance, a less than appealing title - but the ratings made me do it. Don't come for me if you loved this. I completely understand why the ratings are high. I get why people would love this. It just wasn't for me.

I almost DNF'D this book 4 times. I kept going only because it was an ARC. Also, it took me almost an entire month to read. I usually read a book this size in 2 to 3 days.

While it was unique to be in the head of a male POV, and the back story was interesting, there were some things I could not get past. The overuse of similes and metaphors was exhausting. If I never read Sonic the Headgehog blue eyes again, it will be too soon. Many of the descriptors took me completely out of the story.

Further, the MC breaks the 4th wall... a lot. I usually find this to be clever and fun, but it just didn't work for me here.

The town was cute, it gives off major small town vibes, and the side characters, given the chance to shine, could have been loveable and amazing. I did like the main character's brother, Lennon, and may read his story.

There is LGBTQIA+ representation, but it very minor.

This was my first Kelly Siskind novel and also the first in her new Bower Boys series - about a group of brothers all forced into the witness protection programme for 10 years. Each follows a different brothers and this one, like I’m sure the others, has a HEA and stands alone.

This one really caught my attention early on as we are thrown right in as Edgar aka E, spots his long-lost love just as they are about to board a flight together. He can’t speak to her or approach her and, well, let’s just say he’s having a meltdown. It helps us really get to know E early on - as well as his love and devotion for Delilah.

Other than one brief conversation - it then takes quite some time to get E and Delilah in the same place as each other and so start working on their relationship. It’s not that we’re not getting relevant information but it definitely felt we were building a larger picture for the start of the series rather than just for E and Delilah’s story. It’s maybe understandable in the first of a larger series but I, well, I got a bit bored. There was a lot of introspection and I just wasn’t there for it.

The whole of the book is told from E’s point of view so we only get his perspective on things. If given a choice, I always prefer to hear from both main characters but I didn’t feel I lost anything from not hearing Delilah’s point of view. Once the story about witness protection came out, any animosity that Delilah, or the townsfolk, had against E, vanished, so there really wasn’t any angst induing barriers to E and Delilah’s second chance that made me hanker to know what Delilah was thinking.

If you love your gamma heroes then E is the man for you. Even if you love your alphas, then you’ll be hard pressed not to fall for E. He’s definitely in touch with his feelings, isn’t ashamed of his adoration for Delilah and I was surprised about how much I liked him. Again, it’s perhaps not the hero I would normally choose but it worked.

E and Delilah were definitely super cute as a couple - definitely soul mate material. I loved their banter, their stupid jokes and how they so easily bounced off each other. They also had some nice heat and chemistry which is always good to see.

I guessed the big secret - but got the wrong person - so I didn’t guess it at all, really. And while I do admit that Delilah’s actual secret was sad, and would definitely affect her - I think this is where not having Delilah’s POV really made a difference. Even knowing how *I* would feel in similar circumstances, I just couldn’t grasp why Delilah used it as a reason not to be with E - especially knowing E as she did. That man was so smitten with her.

As we got towards the end of the story, the focus definitely turned towards setting the stage for the next book in the series, 10 Signs You Need to Grovel. I have to admit that I was intrigued and interested but I’m not sure I’ll continue on with the series. The writing was good, the story was cute but I just didn’t love it like I wished I did. Just 3 stars from me.

Fazia muito tempo que eu não ria com um romance narrado apenas pelo mocinho. Edgar é muito engraçado e está sempre tirando sarro das situações que vive, mas no fundo isso é pra mascarar a dor que sente por conta de tudo que viveu devido tudo que aconteceu. Mesmo assim, a autora conseguiu dar um clima leve e divertido a história com sua narração cheia de piadinhas, principalmente quando se tratava das suas interações com Delilah.

Confesso que senti falta de uma visão de Delilah, mas pelos olhos de Edgar vemos que a mulher é batalhadora, divertida e determinada. Os dois formam um casal muito fofo e é o tipo de amor que nasce na adolescência e dura pela vida inteira. Por ser um romance de segunda chance, ainda vamos ter muito caminho para os dois percorrerem, já que não vai ser tão simples assim voltar a ser como era antes.

Obviamente temos também uma cidadezinha onde todo mundo conhece e sabe da vida de todo mundo. O melhor de tudo foram os habitantes entrando na onda da doceira sobre uma pequena mentira envolvendo seu "casamento iminente", mas eles também ficaram magoados quando a família de Edgar sumiu sem dar satisfação.

Logo nesse primeiro livro a autora já deixa pontas para os próximos. Eu estou super curiosa para saber o que aconteceu entre Maggie (melhor amiga de Delilah) e Lennon, assim como o reencontro de Desmond com uma certa pessoa do seu passado. Também temos um pequeno conto estrelando Avett (melhor amigo de Edgar na adolescência), que eu adorei saber da existência já que gostei bastante do personagem.

Through no fault of his own Edgar's life was turned upside down when the only way to protect his family and those he cared about was to leave his hometown and everything he knew including Delilah, the woman who stole his heart. It would be a decade later before it is safe to return and try to reclaim.

to face the challenges that life threw at her and persevere. When Edgar comes back into her life she is cautious about opening herself to hurt and disappointment once again but some things are meant to be.

Time, distance and other relationships may have tested the love they shared however it was too strong to be broken as they learn to trust each other with their hearts.

Ten years ago E had his future ripped out from under him when his family was forced into witness protections. Turns out his father had been laundering money for a cartel, and had turned states evidence. Leaving his girlfriend Delilah with no goodbye, no explanation completely tore him apart.

Ten years later, he's able to return home. But things have changed. His friends don't trust him. Delilah went through...something...after he left. But no one is talking. In fact, the whole town seems to be against him. But he absolutely refuses to give up on a future with the woman of his dreams.

50 Ways to Win Back Your Love was a sweet, funny and heart wrenching story. Watching as Delilah and E rekindle that connection they had since they were kids, that deep friendship that made their heartbreak all the more real. I couldn't help but to root for these two, and I am eagerly waiting for his brothers to come back to town.
