Wow! Where have I been? This is my first by this author and I am left astounded by how incredibly EVERYTHING this was!

I absolutely loved how this was written from Edgar's point of view only. It just does something for me when an author does this. Let's say it starts with chills and only grows from there. I immediately connected with E and found myself experiencing all that he was going through as he struggled with seeing Delilah for the first time in ten years. What follows shows what an amazing hero he was.

While Delilah is holding onto a secret, E is determined to win her heart again. She definitely made him work for it and I enjoyed every moment of it. Watching him work down a list of what to do was fun and cute.

This had my emotions responding from tears to laughter and all within short periods of time. I fell completely in love with not just Edgar and Delilah, but E’s brothers as well. The premise of this story and E’s background was unique and fits perfectly for the readers that aren't a fan of second chances. I couldn’t ask for a better way to split and reunite a couple. Overall, a great read and just my first by this author as I intend to dig into her backlist.

If you love your romance books swoony, funny and just a perfect dose of deep emotions..50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover by Kelly Siskind is perfect for you. Edgar and Delilah's story was a great recipe for a great read. Amazing characters. The small town goodness. Beautiful feels and electrifying chemistry.

Edgar Bower and his brothers and his mother was forced to go into Witness protection when his father was caught working for the cartel. And he had to leave behind his best friend and love of his life, Delilah Moon. Now ten years later, he has a chance encounter with Delilah in an airport. And fate clears his path as the cartel is taken down immediately after and now they can come out. He doesn't waste time and reaches Windfall. His task is to get back Delilah. This graphic artist has to prove himself to Delilah and the whole town. But Delilah was so hurt all these years...

The story is told from Edgar's POV and I wish there were chapters from Delilah's POV. Edgar is a very charming and sweet character. He is witty and creative and he feels deeply for everyone. The author showed us clearly and extensively that this separation was not easy for him. He is the book boyfriend dream personified. The flashbacks from the past will make you feel just close these two were but it was also slowing down the story for me. Delilah is a strong and sassy character. The sudden disappearance of Edgar took a toll on her body and mind. She was heartbroken and devastated but she built herself back. But they both had this emptiness in their hearts. The reunion wasn't easy. Delilah did understand pretty fast the circumstances of his silence but it doesn't erase all the hurt and insecurities instantly. But Edgar was patient and persistent and they both had a lot of healing to do. The pace of this book was a bit problematic to me. Some parts were unputdownable and some parts were so dragging that I wanted to skip some pages. But I love the brothers and am excited about the next one.

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily received through Netgalley and Montlake

I am a huge Kelly Siskind fan and was SO excited to get my hands on this book!

Series starters can always be a little difficult and this one - because it set up such a BIG story - was a more challenging read for me. I think the pacing was a little slow and it was missing some of that romance magic. Again, I think that's because this is a B-I-G story and there was a lot that needed to be laid out.

That said, I did enjoy E and Delilah's story. It was definitely a heavy one, and there were some emotional punches packed into these pages. I also enjoyed E's relationship with his brothers (actually, I might have enjoyed that best of all). I can't wait to get to know more about these men as they fight with - and for - each other.

In all, this was an emotional read that went a little deeper than you might expect. I enjoyed it and can't wait for more!

I received an ARC through NetGalley but my thoughts are my own.

E is a total goofball type hero but also the glue holding his family together after suddenly being thrown into WITSEC after the best night of his life. 10 years later he returns to his hometown and the love of his life to try to pick up the pieces his disappearance has left them in.

I loved E. I loved his joking nature and he just seems like someone who gives the best hugs. He's that nice, cute guy with the best smile who just listens. he's a dreamy book boyfriend for sure. I also really love how tight knit the town was behind Delilah. I cannot wait to read more about the brothers!

Kelly Siskind succeeds again in captivating us with a story that is not only original but also moving and sprinkled with touches of humor. To be honest, I cried a lot from start to finish. Not to the point of sore eyes, it was more light tears but coming from a great empathy for the characters. To write as she does, the author must have great sensitivity and she knows how to transcribe emotions perfectly. Like her hero, E(dgar), Kelly Siskind makes us more able to feel the unfairness of the situation but also the love between E and Delilah.
Edgar's family had to leave their home, their town, their friends, their soul mates. Ten years later, Edgar can finally recover his life and find the woman he has always loved.
A whole decade is a very long time, long enough for feelings to fade but he and Delilah were made for each other and nothing could make them forget the most important person in their hearts.
We therefore have here a story of second chances, but this story goes much further.
The reason for leaving is not common in romance. I loved the idea, I suffered for this family who lost absolutely everything, I hated the man who caused all this pain. Many more and deeper pains than one can imagine at the beginning.
The hero is not ordinary, he shows great sensitivity, great empathy, and he assumes his personality and his emotions. He doesn't take, he gives, he loves. He also has a great sense of humor. Despite what he lives, what he discovers, he has the courage to make those he loves laugh and smile. Especially Delilah. His love for her has not changed in ten years. He never pushes her to make decisions, he lets her go at her own pace, he respects all her needs. He is always present but without overdoing it. In short, I loved him!
Delilah suffered enormously after the unexpected and mysterious departure of Edgar. We know this very quickly but we only learn the full extent of the damage towards the end. With a few hints at times, and yet what I thought I guessed was wrong, so it was a surprise!
Despite the sadness, she courageously rebuilt her life, surrounded by friends, each more extraordinary than the next. This exceptional community makes you want to see them more! They too were touched by the departure of the family. I can't wait to see them all again and see Edgar's brothers regain the happiness that was snatched from them. Just writing these words makes me want to cry again.
Ten years have been stolen from them, with its joys, friendships, love. I hope to see whoever is guilty of this mess suffer. It's horrible to say that, but I hope he will suffer.
The choice to have the whole novel from the hero's point of view scared me, but it allows secrets to be discovered at the same pace as our Edgar (my Edgar).
He and Delilah have been through hell but still have a part of child in them, which helps them to find each other, to recognize each other, to lighten the situation.
They deserve their HEA, like all the secondary characters that I loved.
In short, thank you Kelly Siskind for all these beautiful emotions, for this beautiful story, for these touching characters, for your creativity, for your love of art which this time emerges through the work of Edgar... Thank you. I can't wait to read Desmond's book, although I'm sure I'm going to cry a lot.
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC.

50 Ways To Win Back Your Lover is the first book in the Bower Boys series. Kelly Siskind has done it again! This is the story of E and Delilah - high school sweethearts who were ripped apart due to circumstances beyond both their control.
Because of E's father - his entire family is whisked away in the middle of the night, never to be seen again. What no one knows, is that they were put into WITSEC (witness protection) - given new names and identities, not allowed to contact anyone from their hometown and essentially forced to start their lives over.
Fast forward 10 years later and E sees Delilah at an airport and all those memories return in full force. At this time his family is still in hiding so he's not able to talk to her. A few months later their circumstances at WITSEC change, they are no longer in danger and E decides to head back to his hometown and confront his friends and Delilah, try to explain what happened and try to reclaim his life.
It's an uphill battle - to say the least - and this story is fabulously told from E's point of view. This is when he comes up with the list of steps he plans to talk to not only win Delilah back, to win his friends back but to also fight for his old/new life after the 10-year unexplained absence.
It's quite a ride, lots of baggage for both of them, lots of ups and downs in their "new" relationship, learning to trust again and learning to like and, ultimately love, each other as they are now after this decade apart. Highly Recommend!!

3.5 starts rounded up to 4.

50 ways to win back your lover is a second chance romance by Canadian Kelly Siskind. This book was put on my radar by fellow Canadian author Amy Lea. This particular romance was a roller coaster of emotions for the characters. Written in the MMC POV. I really like this style when it is a second chance romance. Edgar is attempting to win his (past) lover, Delilah back so he makes a list of 50 ways to win her back after being MIA for the past 10 years.

As a reader you need to understand that Edgar has been absent for 10 years not because he wanted to but because of some very big family drama. To me the list was a way to get into her life again but when it stopped working he truly let their connection and their history bring them back together. I really liked how patient he was with Delilah’s heart and her past trauma. As the book progressed the character development was well done and I couldn't help but hope for these two to get back together.

I am very hopeful that there will be more books in this series as I am intrigued with the remaining siblings and their relationships after 10 years of mysterious disappearance. I will totally be reading more by this Canadian author.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kelly Siskind and Montlake for the ARC.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I first started reading E and Delilah’s story but what I found out was a rough story, full of pain and hardship and how these soulmates were able to find their way to each other, despite everything.
I’m thankful Ms. Siskind was able to tell this story with so much lightness, it was hilarious at times and made it an amazing ride. I laughed and swooned in equal measure. E is the goofiest, most cinnamon roll alpha ever. He’s a super talented illustrator and I love that he gets to pour his feelings in graphic novels. Delilah is one of the strongest female characters I’ve ever read and she sure deserves all the happiness in the world.
In the end, I was left with a smile on my face and a heart full of love. Highly recommend!

I've read some of this author's previous works and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had a bit of a tough time with the pace of this one, though. Maybe I just wasn't in the right headspace for the deep content (I was definitely expecting a light romantic comedy), but this one really bogged down in the flashbacks for me, and I was also frustrated at how long it took Deliliah to stop persecuting Edgar for something that was beyond his control. Other readers have clearly loved this one, so give it a try, but go into it knowing that it's not a lighthearted read, and although it does have humor, I would not classify it as a comedy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for providing an ARC for review.

Edgar is forced to leave his life behind to be in a witness protection program because his father laundered money for a drug cartel. But he didn't just leave his life behind. He had to leave Delilah behind, too. His only love. After ten years, there is a second chance to have Delilah in his life again. And is willing to do anything.
I liked the story, the characters, the banter and the jokes between them. And I'm dying to read Desmond's book!!!

This was my first Kelly Siskind book and I officially cannot wait to read more. Second chance romances are not always my favorite because the MMC usually does something terrible that broke them up and I just can’t get over it but that is not the case here. I immediately fell in love with every single character in this book and was hooked through every up and down this story took. Now I just have to wait for the next book in the series to get my next fix of these absolutely amazing characters!!

4 STARS! this was a roller coaster and I love it.

male POVs are always something i enjoy, and its interesting to see how Edgar attempts to win his (past) lover, Delilah, back in 50 ways after he leaves for 10 years.

the beginning was slightly off for me, in the sense that i couldnt really empathise with him and support him in his methods of trying to talk to delilah and so desperately getting her back. the way he kept talking about her like she was the same person from 10 years ago when honestly, we all know 10 years can greatly change someone, was offputting. so yeah his personality in the first few chaps were questionable not gonna lie. progressively, i started to see their chemistry and he was definitely less pushy in winning her back so thats a plus.

I definitely fell in love with this book as it progressed and E's character development is EVERYTHING. I went from dreading reading this to FULL ON ABSORPTION I cannot emphasise how much I loved the end.

Thank you to Net Galley, Kelly Siskind and Montlake for the ARC ! I'm so glad I got to read this🤍

4.5 stars. Normally, I don’t enjoy reading about heroes such as Edgar Bower, or E, as the main character in books. Somehow he slipped through the radar as an exception given that he is not an alpha male type, but slightly beta and very cinnamon roll although in the most endearing and lovable way. This guy is sensitive, very in touch with his emotions, and wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s artistic and transparent, not the tough guy type who appears impassive or stoic. Because E and his family have been in witness protection for the last ten years due to his father’s actions, they weren’t allowed to make contact with any of their loved ones outside of the family and E left behind his high school sweetheart and best friend, Delilah Moon, back in the small town of Windfall. He’s going back to make amends and to see if he can win her over again because he’s missed her dearly and has reason to believe that he can also make her happy again.

Usually these types of stories are from the heroine’s perspective, where the guy runs off and disappears without a trace and now he’s back years later as a changed man who wants her back. This was unique to have this in E’s POV instead of Delilah’s, and I didn’t mind it this way and I was also still able to like Delilah, too. Their history is fun and funny with all of these sweet and laughable moments, yet the undeniable connection between them. Although this book has so many light moments, there is an undertone of heavy material and E’s ability to absorb intense feelings is definitely palpable to the reader for all the hardships that he and his loved ones had to experience as a result of his father’s greed and selfishness. I empathized with everyone because no one went unscathed, including Delilah. I loved how E always put her needs and desires first and how a small town rallies behind their beloved citizens. The process of him wooing her back is adorable and amusing because Delilah tries to resist getting hurt again, and yet E can always turn things around before it gets too uncomfortable. Out of all of his brothers, E is obviously the bravest for returning to Windfall first and dealing with everyone’s initial unwelcome, yet he handles it like a pro even though he’s no more skilled at the situation than anyone else. He simply had the most motivation. The angst, tension and feels are balanced with the romantic comedy angle without diminishing the impact. I definitely look forward to reading more about these characters because the setup is fascinating and there are more unfinished stories that remain to be told. I’m excited that Desmond’s book is next.

50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover was a nice take on the second chance romance trope! Im a huge fan of the trope and the author did such a great job executing the trope. I also enjoyed the fact that the book is written from the male character's POV. The character development was well done and the small town setting was perfect for this book.

What would you do to get the love of your life back? When his father is wanted by the mob the whole family is ripped away from the people and lives they planned. Ten years later when given a second chance and getting his identity back, he will try all the ways he can to get back in her good graces.

Funny, heartbreaking love story that will have you laughing and crying. Thank you netgalley for complimentary copy.

50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover, a second chance, small town romcom, by Kelly Siskind, has introduced me to a new favorite author! What a well written, engaging book with witty banter, lovable characters, and a cozy, but gossipy, small town. Hooked! Not only were the main characters well developed, but even the incidental ones are memorable. I'm someone who gets overwhelmed with too much information thrown at me too quickly, and have a hard time remembering who's who, but no problem with this one, and that's due to good writing, not my suddenly improved memory!

The book is written from the male lead's POV. E, or Edgar, is a softie with a determination to win back the love of his high school sweetheart, Delilah Moon, after he and his family suddenly disappeared overnight 10 years earlier. A decade apart with no communication (it's complicated, as E would say) seems like an insurmountable hurdle to leap, but it's made even worse by the fact that E can't tell anyone WHY he and his entire family deserted their small town and all their friends. It's not just Delilah Moon he needs to make peace with, it's the whole town, and he's the only one in the family making an effort. Poor E has a lot on his shoulders. But, he's determined, even though he is working through his own pain, regret, anger, and ongoing family problems.

E makes a reference to Windfall, the small town, being like Stars Hollow in the Gilmore Girls, and with that the whole town seemed more relatable. It made me appreciate even more how the townspeople rallied around Delilah in a protective circle when E dared to show his face there again.

I love the scenes in Delilah's bakery, the precious dog E adopts, the banter, and the passion between E and Delilah, but it's not all sweetness and light. There's a lot of hurt on both sides to deal with, as well as mental health, angst, fear of the future, and so on.

I can hardly wait to read more in this series, but even though this is the first book, it's a standalone. I'll be very interested in the other brothers' stories, but especially Desmond's. I'm excited to follow the journeys of the Bower brothers!

Thanks to NetGalley, Kelly Siskind, and Montlake for providing this ARC for me to review.

The author has a nice writing style that makes this book a good read, however, I just couldn't get past the plot set up and for that I rated it lower. E, our main character, goes back to his hometown after 10 years to try to win back his first love. His family abruptly leaves town in the middle of the night when he is 17 and she is mad at him for that. I just don't see how there is any way that it would be the fault of a 17-year old that his whole family leaves town in the middle of the night. He doesn't get in contact with her after they leave. She is mad about that. Really!? She doesn't suspect that maybe it isn't in his control. The characters were likeable, I just couldn't get past that plot point and it stopped me from really loving this book.

I love the story and the characters so much.
The story is unthinkable for me.

Delilah and Brian's childhood sweetheart who got separated without either of them being able to help it.

I love the small town and its happenings so much. The author has a beautiful setting with great characters who have complemented each other wonderfully.

I'm already looking forward to the next part.

Have fun reading!
