Three enjoyable stories that made me smile and fell the festive atmosphere. They're well plotted and well written.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
I preferred one story over the others in the the 'On the Way to Christmas' by Shiela Roberts, Melissa Fergus and Amy Clipston. While 'A Christmas Do-Over' and 'A Perfectly Splendid Christmas' were delightful stories on their own, 'Dashing Through the Snow' was charmingly magical. It has such a message of hope and redemption, perfect for the Christmas season. I'm certain anyone will enjoy this special anthology.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Three charming, yet very different Christmas stories.
I find it hard to know which one I liked best.
I've read other books by Melissa Ferguson, but the other two authors were new to me.
Ms. Ferguson's story is reminiscent of The Polar Express. A tale of a young lady taking a ride on a train for a Christmas celebration. The unexpected love story is a very sweet Christmas tale.

Three enjoyable holiday books to put you in the holiday spirit. You will enjoy each of these.
Restoration, forgiveness, delightful friendship and second chances bring special delights to these books.
I highly recommend this book. You will want to complete each story before you put the book down. I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson-Fiction and NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
Darby has lost her job in NYC and goes home for Christmas. She has a lot to make up for with her family and old friends. She has finally seen they was she was acting and treating others was not the way to live. She reconnects with her BFF from her childhood who has stayed in town.
Willow's boyfriend of seven years dumps her before a train trip across the country. Willow takes the trip and magic seems to flow on the vintage train. She meets the owner of the train and his son and enjoys the magic of Christmas.
Kacey has returned to her hometown to help her sister in the bakery. She is able to work remotely for now but plans to return to the city. She runs into her BFF from her childhood who still lives in town and is teaching at the local school. Can he convince her to stay in town?
All three of these are sweet Christmas reads.
My thoughts: On the Way to Christmas is a contemporary romance that fans will surely love. My favorite story was Dashing Thru the Snow. It was hilarious. There is absolutely no faith message in any of them though two stories mention going to church at Easter and Christmas (twice a year). I enjoyed all 3 stories and recommend this for romance lovers and Christmas story lovers. Recommended. Preorder your copy now. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.
I have read all of Sheila Roberts books, and she never disappoints, loved the stories by the other authors to. would highly recommend this book.
Take three stories, sprinkle liberally with Christmas magic, toss heavily with joy and laughter, and you'll have "On the Way to Christmas." Authors Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson and Amy Clipston bring their Christmas novella A-game to these delightful morsels. I felt like I should be breaking out the hot chocolate, candy canes, and frosted Christmas cookies while I was reading, even though I read the book in July.
Readers who can't get enough Christmas anthologies should absolutely snap this one up. Fans of Roberts, Ferguson or Clipston will also enjoy this collection. I definitely recommend!
Lovely book. Three different plots. Perfect festive read for over the winter. Great plots. All very well written. Really enjoyed them all

A Christmas Do-Over by Sheila Roberts
This is the story of Derby who is forced to return home for Christmas because of a job failure. It is all about Derby trying to live a better life in order to be accepted by friends and family. There are many growing pains that Derby must go through in order to win back the Love of her sister and her friends.
Dashing Through the Snow by Melissa Ferguson
Willa’s Boyfriend dumps her just as she and he are going on a trip On the Christmas express. She decides to go by herself.
It is wonderful to watch her gain some very interesting friendships along the way.
This story is truly hilarious.
A Perfectly Splendid Christmas by Amy Clipston
As of all books that Amy Clipston writes, this one is a great one too. We get to revisit Splendid Lake.
We get to Follow Kasey as she decides what would be the best way for her to pursue her love interest. Does she have to give up something in order to get the love she wants? We get to follow Casey and Drew In their pursuit of love.
I recommend this four-star collection to anyone who enjoys Christmas stories. Release date is October 11, 2022.
Loved loved loved this short stories about Christmas and preparing for it. Definitely recommend

Thank you to Thomas Nelson, Sheila Robert’s, Melissa Ferguson, Amy Clipston, and NetGalley for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
I am not usually a fan of shorter stories, but I will read ANYTHING Christmas! I had hoped these three stories would be connected, but that was not the case. Each is its own stand alone and they are very different from each other.
The first story was enjoyable. I liked the message and seeing the change and growth with our lead female. She showed that while it can be hard to make amends and apologize, even if it’s been years, it is better late than never to do so.
The second story was by far my favourite! A Christmas train?!? SIGN ME UP! I really enjoyed the characters, the setting and the story. I loved the many different friendships shown and it was overall fun and cute.
The final story was my least favourite. I liked the premise of the story, but did not feel any sort of connection to the characters and was not a fan of the writing style. I had the hardest time getting into this one and actually considered not finishing it.
Overall it was an entertaining book that I am glad I picked up. If you enjoy Christmas stories give this one a try!!!

In this glittering and heartwarming collection, three of today’s bestselling sweet romance novelists offer up the gift of cheer for the winter holiday season.
A Christmas Do-Over by Sheila Roberts, Dashing Through the Snow by Melissa Ferguson, A Perfectly Splendid Christmas by Amy Clipston.
Our patrons will really enjoy this book as they curl up with a holiday drink and sink into three worlds where dreams once thought long gone are still within reach. I have already preordered it.
4 stars
All three stories will get you in the mood for Christmas, yet each is very different from the other.
We meet a mean girl reformed in A Christmas Do-Over. Or is she? Dashing Through the Snow is a whimsical story that will make you believe in second chances and Christmas joy. And in A Perfectly Splendid Christmas we see a big city girl and a hometown boy, and we wonder if they can get over this hurdle.
Grab a copy, sit and enjoy with a mug of hot chocolate while the snow swirls outside.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.
I really enjoyed all 3 stories in this book they were all very good and everyone should enjoy reading them during the Christmas season. A Very good read.
“On the Way to Christmas” is a three-in-one short story collection I enjoyed. I often lean towards three-in-one story collections like this because I feel I accomplished more reading than I did.
Amy Clipston's - It was great revisiting Splendid Lake while reading "A Perfectly Splendid Christmas." Amy Clipston has a way of creating characters who feel like real-life friends, precisely what she did when telling Kacey's story. Read this and meet Kacey as she tries to decide if she should give up the big city life in pursuit of love. Will love follow her? or Will she follow love?
Melissa Ferguson - "Dashing Through the Snow" was hilarious. Following Willow, as she mends her broken heart after an abrupt breakup from a longtime boyfriend seems, at first, to be heavy. Melissa Ferguson created a great scenario to get over a breakup and flourish with what life offers.
Sheila Roberts - "A Christmas Do-Over" is a sweet story following Darby as she makes amends with family and friends. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to look in the mirror and decide to fix what we do not like. That is what Darby does in this short story by Sheila Roberts.
On the Way To Christmas
A Christmas Do-Over
by Sheila Roberts
Darby Brown is coming home for Christmas after three years away. New York had not worked out the way she had expected. Now Darby is heading back to Eagletown, a small town in northern Washington. She has no job, no man and no direction for her life!
Darby definitely does not feel like she fits in at all in her former hometown. She used to be a “mean girl”; however, now Darby wants to be remembered as “nice”!
Once she crosses paths with her grade-school best friend, Gregory Collier, whom she had been unkind to in high school, you wonder if she will be able to make amends. Hold tight to discover what may come of their relationship with a new and improved Darby!
Dashing Through the Snow
By Melissa Ferguson
After Jonas, her boyfriend of seven years, breaks off their relationship, Willow Fairbanks takes a two-week train trip, before returning to her parent’s for the holidays!
You will not believe the characters that Willow meets during this fun and very interesting journey!
Could Oliver, the train conductor’s son, be the man Willow has been waiting for or will Jonas ruin her experience on the Christmas train when he shows up before the end of her trip?
A Perfectly Splendid Christmas
by Amy Clipston
Kasey Williams has left her life in the big city behind to help her older sister run her bakery in the midst of a family crisis. While running errands for her sister, Kasey surprisingly crosses paths with her former friend, Drew Murphy!
Before Kasey can process that Drew is still in town, he actually asks Kasey out on a date. Kasey had often wondered if their friendship would ever turn into something more!
Watch as Drew and Kasey deal with their feelings as they move from being just friends to something so much more!
This is a good book. This book has three different stories involving Christmas. They all involve a mutual attraction between two people during Christmas. They each have the two people trying to blend their lives together after falling in love.
As soon as I saw Amy Clipston's name on this book, I knew I had to read it. She is EXCELLENT with character development and keeping your interest! I also enjoyed the first nouvella in the book. The second story was a little strange in my opinion, but I still read it and enjoyed the ending. This is a book of 3 smaller nouvellas and they are all sweet, clean stories about finding love around Christmas time. (I especially loved how Amy Clipston added a little "treat" from Splendid Lake in this one - a great addition!)
These are three very different Christmas stories that are sure to warm your heart this season! My favorite was A Perfectly Splendid Christmas by Amy Clipston and the main reason for the 4 stars. The first two stories were cute though!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review and opinions are my own.
