Ooooooh the heat coming off this book is almost too hot to read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This book is so delicious and an amazingly fun read!!!!

This book was a lovely surprise. I have read both authors separately and went into this blind. It has a cutesy cover and a cutesy title. I didn’t even read the blurb. I did not suspect how sexy and funny this would be. A boy band member with a tarnished image agrees to do a Christmas movie hoping to help his image and bring in more high paid work. His costar is replaced by a porn star who happens to make his favorite content. I adored Nolan and how he was totally soft for Bee. Bee was a surprisingly strong heroine and I adored how the book dealt with some of the more taboo elements, everything from bipolar disorder to how sex workers are treated to online bullying.

Although it pains me to do it, I have to pan Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone’s A Merry Little Meet Cute for being neither merry nor cute, but rather distasteful and disgraceful. Had this series NOT been written as Christmas-centric, it would have been more palatable, but as it stands, I think that this series will turn off most people who pick it up. While many readers have grown accustomed to steamy holiday romances, A Merry Little Meet Cute pushes things into cringe and ick territory, making it nearly unreadable. While I certainly do not expect a novel about a porn star to be G-rated, it is hard to approach it without judgement when said porn star behaves exactly as you would expect a stereotypical adult film star to behave. Bee Hobbes AKA Bianca Von Honey has made sex her entire personality, and can’t say or do anything without a degree of crudeness and filth attached. What would have been surprising is if Murphy and Simone chose to challenge the sex star stereotype by creating a female lead with some nuance. Rather, what we are served up is a brash, in-your-face, one-dimensional character who apparently falls into bed with anyone without a second thought and then has the nerve to call it love. Get out of here with that foolishness.

I dnfed this at 48%. I tried reading it digitally and also tried the audio and both just didn't quite work for me. I think it was a mix of the writing style as well as the general hallmark vibe that I got from this. I knew when I requested this that there was most likely going to be some cheesy elements, as is the case with most holiday books, but there were just some quotes that just made it hard for me to want to continue. I do think this book will be cute for some people, but for me, I just wasn't loving it like I had hoped. For that reason, I'm going to give it 2 stars. Nothing absolutely terrible about it and I would recommend it to some people, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I’ve been edging this book for close to a year and it was everything I wanted and more 😍😍😍 Super funny, really steamy. The chemistry between these two was perfection. Great fat rep for the heroine. Love that both the MCs were queer. All wrapped up with an adorably festive bow. If only Hallmark movies were like this lol

A hot holiday read for anyone interested in a much spicier romance than seen in a typical Hallmark Christmas movie... but still featuring a Hallmark-esque Christmas movie. Highly recommend!

This story was a lot of fun! I loved Bee so much and also loved Nolan. The two of them together were perfect. This was a great holiday romcom and I definitely want more from both authors.

Despite the cover, A Merry Little Meet Cute packs a smutty punch! The writing is funny and the characters are lively. The small town setting is fun. This is overall a nice holiday read!

This book wasn't for me, but I can see why readers would enjoy this book. The characters and storyline are interesting, but there were too many porn references for my taste. I think the story could still have been told with fewer references. Personal taste.

This book follows a 🌽star who takes a part in a Hallmark-esque Christmas movie, where her leading man is her teenage crush, a former boy bander. They each have secrets they’re trying to keep from each other, while also finding themselves falling in love with one another. I liked the sex positive message of the book, but I didn’t love the Insta love, it’s just not my trope for the two main characters to just fall in love right away. Still a very cute book and perfect for the holiday season!

This book was absolutely phenomenal. The premise was stunning, and I love the normalization of sex work in this book. Plus the characterizations of the two main characters were absolutely perfect.

This was a fun romance! If you’re a person who loves to read on theme with the seasons and holidays, this is for you! It made me laugh out loud a few times but sometimes the romance felt a bit flat. If you’re looking for a light holiday love fest - this is for you!

A Merry Little Cute is just an amazing, steamy beautifully written Story that you won't be able to put down.

Set in a picturesque, Christmas-themed town (complete with a strip club named The North Pole) and on the set of a Bridgerton-esque Christmas movie, 'A Merry Little Meet Cute' was exactly what I wanted. As with Julie and Sierra normally, the smut was top notch and the bisexual rep was fantastic. I can't wait to read the sequel

I’m a fan of Julie Murphy’s other books, so I was excited to read this. And I liked it! Warning: it was racy. I listened to it, and I found myself skipping some parts because it was a lot.

Such a sweet lovely Christmas novel - I devoured this on my couch, perfectly cozy one weekend around the holidays -- I would highly recommend the exact same vibe to any readers interested in this novel.

"A Merry Little Meet Cute" was my first book by either author; overall it was a bit of a mixed bag for me.

I loved how sex and body positive the story was and it was a super fun premise. It was so fun to have all of the porn industry people "hiding" on the set and that led to some genuinely funny moments.

There was some super great chemistry but I didn't end up buying the deeper connection between our MCs - we only saw a couple deeper conversations (and this was after they've already said how much they feel for each other), so I didn't feel like that was paced out very well.

Additionally, there were a few too many subplots going on to keep my interest totally engaged, but overall this was a quick fun read!
