Don't judge a book by it's cover or a book by it's movie, right? Well at first glance, you would think A Merry Little Meet Cute is a wholesome, cutesy holiday romance, But it's not. It's so much more and it's amazing. This was my first Julie Murphy or Sierra Simone novel and I loved it. I loved all the representation in this book: a plus size heroine, LGBTQ+ characters, and sex positivity just to name a few. It's a story of juxtaposed people finding a common ground, of second chances to fulfill a dream, and rising up through adversity. The spice level was definitely more than moderate. The characters were well developed and relatable. I would agree with others that this is a Hallmark Movie with a lot of spice.

Nothing I love more than a holiday romance book. So when I saw Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone (two of my favorite authors) teamed up to write one, I knew I had to read it. I’m glad I did. This was wonderful, spicy Christmas romance. I loved the way the relationship developed and the plus size representation. I will be recommending this to all my Christmas loving friends.

This holiday romp was exactly what I needed to get into the holiday spirit!
I loved the set up and the characters were instantly loveable and relatable. I would have loved a smidge more steam, but overall this book was such a delight and so cute and spicy!

I loved this book! I found that the dual perspectives actually felt different to me, I could tell which character I was reading from, which isn't always the case with dual POVs! I thought that the characters were loveable, and I loved the representation of two bisexual characters! I thought this was a funny, well done, holiday romance and I am looking forward to more books by these authors!

This book was really good! It was a little bit of Christmas with a lot of larger and more important messages. I really loved both characters and all of the side characters. It was spicy in the best way and I just really enjoyed it and think it’s a really fun book for the holidays.

I enjoyed this book! I liked the fact that Bee was a plus sized woman; that felt really inclusive. Obviously she was a porn star, but I felt like this book was a little too steamy for my liking.
I found myself laughing out loud multiple times and loved the cozy feeling it gave.

Tis the season!
Thank you NetGalley/ Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Don’t let the cover of A Merry Little Meet Cute deceive you! While the cover seems to promise a sweet little romcom, this book is nothing but spicy!
While it wasn’t what I initially anticipated, I found this book well written. It offers a romance between two unlikely characters, a cast of highly entertaining side characters, and a full on Christmas town!

I adore Sierra Simone, and love a good Christmas romance, so I was excited about this one right away! Throw in the Bee mix up potential and an ex-boyband heartthrob, and what a recipe.
The "rom" is heartfelt and steamy, and the "com" truly shins throughout. I found myself laughing and smiling at my Kindle often.
The supporting characters are stellar and make quite an inclusive crew--I loved the variety and warmth. I also found myself desperate for a trip to Christmas Notch or a similar winter wonderland.
Pick up A Merry Little Meet Cute for a cute and spicy holiday read--perfect for cuddling up with a festive beverage by the tree!

3.5 stars
Overall, the story had a lot of potential - I just don't know that it completely hit the mark. The cover and the title do not match the story at all. It was MUCH spicier than I anticipated. While I'm not a religious person, a very intense love scene on an altar in a church seems like asking for lightning to strike you dead. And, while Bee is supposed to portray her adult film career and her plus-sized body in a positive light, there was so much sadness and loneliness that came across instead. For example, she asked to be cuddled one night, because there was no cuddling in her line of work. She was surprised in one love scene that her partner wanted to keep going after they "finished" because in adult films, the scene ends when the man is done. And, most men in her life kept her as a secret because they were fat-phobic. Bee made me sad at times. Nolan had his own struggles dealing with the aftermath of his boy band career. All in all, while the writing was good and the story was fun, overall this wasn't the book for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read a digital ARC in return for an honest opinion.

A dirty, delightful romp through a squeaky-clean Christmas town. A perfect (adult) romance read for the holidays!

Every Julie Murphy book I've ever read I have absolutely adored so I was excited to dive into this one. Sierra Simone was new to me but she is also highly talented! I know we always talk about "the perfect holiday romance" but I really feel like this one IS. It's cute, it's well-written, the characters are lovable, it puts you right in the holiday spirit. It has all the vibes of your favorite Christmas movie without the over-the-top Hallmark cheese. I love love loved Bea and the sex positivity of it all. The banter was also amazing and kept me laughing and grinning like a child. I cannot recommend this book enough so everyone say HELLO to the holiday BOOK OF THE YEAR!

Bree and Nolan find themselves the stars of a sweet cute Christmas movie. They both are trying to clean up their act or break free of their pornstar resume. Bree and Nolan have known each other for years and have crushed on one another with either of them none the wiser.
When they meet up for this Christmas movie sparks fly and all bets are off of keeping hands off each other.
Eventually truths are told and secrets are revealed. Can these two come out with their heads held high or will they falter.
This was humorous, steamy and I loved the side characters.

I’ve only read one book before by Julie Murphy - and as that was for Disney - this is quite a different level of spicy!! What it had it common with 'If The Shoe Fits', though, was a good amount of emotional intelligence and growth of both main characters. The back-story and development of side characters enhanced the story, and I hope there will be a sequel featuring Kallum! I also appreciated the way it highlighted the reasons people like the cheesy, formulaic Christmas movies without bagging on them …
I also liked both the body positivity and the insight into the adult film industry in an empowering light. It seems like it's all too easy to fall into stereotypes and tropes - and as with Romance as a genre, that's leaving a lot of nuance on the table.

The perfect Christmas romance to get me in the spirit for the holidays! Loved every second of this book!

This was such a cute and entertaining read. Two amazing authors teaming up together? Sign me up!!
If you're looking for a fun holiday read with spice, look no further. Can I just say I loved everything about Bee, she knew what she wanted and she went for it. Unapologetically. Gosh, I wish I had her confidence. Especially as a plus sized woman myself, Bee is kind of inspiring. I hate that I have to also say that it's inspiring that she has a career in sex work because I wish it was more normalized than it is. BUT I am truly inspired by her. And don't get me started on broody Nolan. A broody bad boy is one of my favorite tropes and that on top of Bee's energy, you just can't beat it.

This was nothing I expected for a Christmas book but I really enjoyed it. I loved the body positivity of a plus size heroine and her sex positivity as a sex worker.
I also loved that the bad boy pop star was trying to clean up his image, mostly to support his family.
This reminded me of a hallmark movie gone wrong in the best way and this would be my type of hallmark movie. It was witty and sarcastic and had such funny humor laced throughout.
The whole dynamic of the cast in this story was off the walls but made it that much more enjoyable and just overall accepting of every single individual.
The chemistry between Bee and Nolan was like a molten lava hot cocoa and I was here for it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easily one of the cutest books I have read in a long time. I loved the plus-size representation and appreciated how well it was done. As a plus size reader, it is hard to come by well-done puls size representation in smutty romance.

Weeks after finishing A Merry Little Meet Cute, I am still overwhelmed with heart. This dual POV romance begins with quite a kerfuffle, but it dissolves into complex and endearing characters. Additionally, this author combination is delightful and spicy. I would fight for Bee and Nolan! (It is beyond cute that they are each fans of each other's work - like this melted my cold heart). I love this sex positive romance with tons of hilarious moments and spice. At the core, A Merry Little Meet Cute is also about how they're trying to (re)invent themselves.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Not my usual but I love a holiday romance. With a porn star and a former boy band I figured I’d be in for a ride. Honestly, I felt the book was confused. Mashing up these two authors left a bit to be desired. It was as if they couldn’t figure out how sweet or steamy their two characters should be.
Bee Hobes is a porn star with a strong following who ends up getting cast in Holidayflix’s Christmas movie. She wants a chance to act in RomComs and this one happens to have her long time crush as the star.
Nolan has more than a few scandals in his past and he needs this movie to ensure he can pay for his mother’s care after his band manager took all his money. Imagine his surprise when he realizes his favorite porn star is his leading lady (and the studio has no idea).
Their chemistry is instantaneous and keeping this many secrets has reprocussions once they’re found out.
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon for the arc.

As someone who loves Christmas I basically binge Hallmark movies once they start airing, so when I read about A Merry Little Meet Cute I was sold. Think Hallmark movie meets a very spicy romance novel. I wasn't expecting it to be so spicy, but it worked.
Our main characters go to a tiny Vermont town that is all Christmas (I seriously want to move there) to shoot a Christmas movie. I love that the author kind of made fun of how cheesy these movies are. I laughed out loud a few times reading about the scenes they were filming or the lines that they were rehearsing. The woman writing the movie was way out there and very unique, but it just worked. Things got interesting when a big part of the crew was in an accident and were replaced with people who do adult movies. That doesn't really scream Hallmark does it? Haha.
Bee and Nolan were the perfect leads for this movie. Both of them were using this movie for their careers. Bee wants to try out family friendly movies and Nolan is trying to get rid of his bad boy image. Bee was such an amazing character. I loved how comfortable she was in her body and how body positive this book was. Yeah, she had some insecurities in the possible relationship with Nolan, but those felt very realistic. Nolan became a bad boy in the media and when his manager took off with most of his money things went downhill. I loved how sweet and caring he was. He's really doing everything for his family. That really hit me in the feels.
Then let's get to Nolan and Bee. Their chemistry jumped off the page. They kind of already have impressions of the other. Bee was a big fan of the boy band he was in and Nolan has seen some of her intimate pictures and videos she posts for subscribers. The scenes of them together were very steamy, but there were also quite a few sweet moments between the two. This is a five star read for me, but I would've loved a few more of their moments. There were definitely some bumps in their communication, but I loved how it all worked out.
Add some great side characters who definitely had me laughing and I was sold. I really hope this author duo gives us more books like these, because I'll read them as soon as I can get my hands on them! If you love the holiday movies with a happy ending, but want more steam, A Merry Little Meet Cute is for you!
