Henrique Santana arrives in Newport, Rhode Island, to secure the necessary zoning for a multi-million-dollar land deal, under the instructions of his father. Yet when Henrique meets Victoria Hathaway, who has a thriving business on the harbour front, he realises that this might not be an easy battle. As Henrique and Victoria fight their attraction, there is a sinister element threatening any chance for their relationship to develop.

I must admit that I was hooked from the start with this book, and l am particularly thrilled as Valerie Lynne is a new author for me. This book has all the right elements for a great read, with two dynamic characters, a passionate romance, plus some quite evil characters lurking in the background. A must read!

Usual predictable storyline with rich businessman seducing plain Jane character. Introducing a crazy ex girlfriend worked quite well however and the ending was good
