A strange short story or novel. The story was intriguing, however, the cover alert doesn’t fit the story line (why a German soldier?) the story is fast paced and comes to an intriguing end. A quick read.

Aaralyn Adams' Louisiana Loco-Motive was a disappointing read for me.

Firstly, I was expecting a full-length novel whereas it was just 100 e-pages long, about 45 minutes of reading time. This should be mentioned in the preview material. There were many typos in the book such as apostrophes not used correctly - it would certainly benefit from one more proofread/review. Writing the dialogue in a different font and italicised was awkward and unnecessary. The book's cover has a picture of a Nazi officer but the book is not related to World War 2. The title suggested the story was set in Louisiana but this setting wasn't used well in the story. The plot felt muddled and it flowed poorly. I didn't understand the train motif. I couldn't follow who the characters were because many characters were mentioned but then not developed into the story.
