This cover immediately grabbed my attention and I just knew that I needed to give this book a read this year, further helped by the fact that i stumbled upon a mulled wine, mince pie and carolling event the morning I started this.

I don’t know what it was about Jack but I spent a lot of the book leaning towards Becky and waiting for him to do something wrong. I think it was because he almost seemed too good to be true despite saying a few times how he felt about Lucy. No one could doubt how much she was falling for Jack and I just so wanted him to be as good as she believed because Lucy is a lovely character who deserves a bit of happiness!

There’s such a Christmassy feeling about Christmas and winter markets, with loads of handmade crafts and home cooked food - you can’t beat fresh warm mince pies can you! The only thing with this book was that I expected it to be a bit more festive with more of the mistletoe and mulled wine, although I have to say that the festive pizza did sound incredible and there were quite a few of Jack’s cocktails that I’d love to try out!

Overall I did enjoy this book and really liked the characters, I raced through the book and the intense moment had me sat on the edge of the sofa waiting to find out how things were going to go - also the last few scenes were beautiful but I did think that the surprise was going to be something different. Maybe that’s in a future book though…. 🤞🏻

Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan by Caroline Roberts

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and One More Chapter and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

Lucy is back cooking up a storm on the Northumberland coast with her pizza van business, and the charismatic Jack is shaking things up with his cocktail campervan, Ruby. As winter sets in, will things thaw between these rivals-to-lovers? Or will they be meeting under the mistletoe…

My Opinion

You have been warned, with all the talk of pizza and cocktails you will need snacks and drinks on hand whilst reading this delight. This is a sequel to The Seaside Cocktail Campervan and if you enjoyed that book then you will definitely enjoy this one. We follow Jack and Lucy as they operate their businesses at Christmas markets so there is a lot of festive cheer to get you in the mood for Christmas.

An enjoyable read.

Unfortunately this one wasn’t for me. It is the second in a series and I was so lost for the first half that I could not get into it. The writing is good so I may checkout the first one and see what I missed.

My thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for a copy of “ Mistletoe and mulled wine at the Christmas camper van “ for an honest review.
I hadn’t read the first book in this series but that wasn’t a problem at all.
It was the perfect read to get you in the mood for Christmas , with a beautiful setting , and well written characters .
The story definitely made me feel very festive .

Make sure you have your snack of choice and perhaps some fizz, or tasty to drink on hand throughout reading this book, as like the one before it, it will make you hungry and potentially craving cocktails (and mocktails). You have been warned.

It was great to catch up with Jack, Lucy and Daisy once more. I felt right at home instantly within the folds of these pages, and it was just a warm hearted, lovely story that I couldn't have enjoyed more if I tried.

It hit all the right spots for me, including smile inducing cameos from characters from Caroline Robert's other series. So for a massive fan like me that was wonderful to see, but if you haven't read anything from her before, they are just other characters for you to meet that have a place within the parts of the story they appear in.

There is so much delicious food in this book, it's making me hungry even thinking back over it! But above all it is the continuation of Lucy and Jack's fledgling romance, which is not overly smooth sailing. All manner of bumps and turns for them to overcome and I enjoyed seeing how everything progressed.

Set alongside Christmas market season, in the snow, with some great sounding events that they are both catering at, this book has it all. Had me on the edge of my seat at one point too, where I really wasn't sure whether I could believe in the power of the genre of book that this is, to get the right outcome!

This is just another truly wonderful story from the queen of foodie romance!

Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan is the second book by Caroline Roberts in the Cosy Campervan series. We return to the story of Lucy and Jack as they head into the festive season with their catering vans.

This book picks up where The Seaside Cocktail Campervan left off, with Lucy and Jack in the early stages of their relationship. In this installment they are thrown obstacles for them to overcome, namely misunderstandings as well as Lucy’s ex, Liam.

I have to say I absolutely loved the book club scene, it made my heart smile. It was one of many heartwarming moments in the book.

I really liked the fact that this followed on so quickly in Lucy and Jack’s story (although you could read this as a standalone), and that we got to see them having to overcome difficulties individually and together.

And can we just take a moment for this cover, gorgeous!

A great book to curl up with to get you in the festive spirit.

This was almost a DNF for me. The first part of it was so slow and honestly a little annoying. The friend being mad because she’s dating a guy years after they had a spat. The constant worry that the guy is still a player and might leave her. The 2nd half got a little better but I just couldn’t get into this one.

🌀Synopsis
Lucy and Jack are still in their learning phase of the relationship. It’s all new and their navigating it. It’s also a time when Lucy is working really hard to build her business.
When her ex shows up at an event Lucy is thrown. Then he shows up at another and he keeps telling her they should get back together. Lucy has her own insecurities about her relationship with Jack but she doesn’t want to be with her ex.
Unfortunately, things go sideways- in more way than one. Jack sees her talking to her ex and gets defensive. Then, on the way to an event, he slides off the road. Nothing like a near death experience to help you figure out what you really want though.

Catching up with Lucy and Jack. They both run successful businesses which are growing from strength to strength.

However Lucy is facing losing her friend due to her choices? Will their relationship continue to bloom? I love reading about the different events that they both travel to and it’s full of the festive vibes.

Being a Caroline Roberts fan it's lovely to read some of the familiar characters in this book too.

This is book 2 of the campervan series but could be read as a stand alone.

I’d like to thank NetGalley and One More Chapter for approving me for an ARC of this book. This was my first Caroline Roberts, after hearing so much about her books I thought it was time to take the plunge! Whilst this book is the second in the series it can be read as a standalone.

Lucy is the proud owner of All Fired Up, her mobile pizza horsebox and her boyfriend Jack is the owner of Ruby, the cocktail campervan. Whilst trying to get their businesses off the ground and attempting to attend as many Christmas themed events as possible these two soon find that their relationships hits a few snags.

I really liked Lucy and the business she had created. She was one of those characters that instantly made you feel warm and happy, you wanted to see her succeed in all aspects of her life. With her fractured friendship and Jack seemingly distant its no wonder that Lucy was feeling alone and nervous about the festive season.

This book was screaming Christmas at me and I loved it. From the traditional mulled wine to turkey pizza this book certainly sets the scene for the festive season. I could have happily lost myself in this book and stayed on the sofa with my cosy blanket and mince pie. Trust me when I say this book will make you hungry!

For my first Caroline Roberts it was an enjoyable experience. I shall now be finding the rest of her back log and making my way through those!

Lucy is such a great character and someone I would love to meet if she was real! I love that she cooks up a storm and then there is Jack and his cocktails. There story of rivalry and romance makes me laugh and scowl all at once.
This is such a fun book to read but I need to get book one so I can see where it all started!
A great Christmas read full of fun, food, cocktails and romance.

Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan by @carolinerobertsauthor another NetGalley read. Lucy is starting to feel like she’s found home in her new coastal home, her pizza business is going from strength to strength and she has a new relationship with Jack. However will everything go to plan with this new contented feeling that Lucy has!
This is part of The Cosy Campervan series but you could definitely read a stand alone book. I really enjoyed this book, it’s a great addition to a Christmas TBR pile and just oozes Xmas. I loved revisiting know characters like Lucy and Jack, it was great to see the dynamics of their relationship grow, to see the highs and lows. Lucy and Jack both have their issues that make moving forward in their relationship tricky, Jack with the death of his brother and Lucy with her previous relationship, both running for different reasons. The characters without a doubt are what makes this book a success and enjoyable and that’s down to the authors writing but the setting and the way it jumps of the pages also make this book enjoyable because the setting is beautiful and you can easily visualise it. There are also many little references to the authors other books, which I think is clever because it made me think wow I think I would enjoy reading about that character. This is a great book to snuggle under the covers with a hit chocolate with Xmas music in the background. I would also recommend this boo to friends and family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the second book in a series but can totally be a standalone. I enjoyed the characters, the setting and the cute story line. Both characters had personal issues but they worked their way through them. I would recommend this rom-com.

This is my second read from Caroline Roberts—I previously read The Seaside Cocktail Campervan and loved it so when I got the chance to read and review her next book in the series, I jumped at the chance! The best thing about Caroline’s books are how cozy and sweet they are—her ability to make you feel like you’re with the characters is amazing. Continuing with Lucy and Jack’s relationship is a blast and you will love reading about their ups and downs and an ex in town?! Definitely read this one to get you in the Christmas spirit!

I just love books that suck you in and make you feel a part of them….this one did just that. The story of Lucy and Jack brought a smile to my heart and left me feeling festive and ready for the holidays.

Having recently been to a wedding that had a pizza van and a 'bar' with drinks- this allowed me to picture the scene easily. I loved the thought of them both attending christmas markets and their relationship growing, whilst other friendships were put to the test.
I haven't read the first book in this series and I must go back and read it. I love Caroline Roberts books.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing access to the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I always know what to expect going into books from this genre, but this one did not disappoint. It absolutely managed to get me in the mood for Christmas - it's just a shame there's still nearly 2 months to go!

I enjoyed the story, and was pleasantly surprised to find it was not as predictable as I expected. The character development was great.

Overall it's an enjoyable and uplifting book.

I look forward to reading more from Caroline Roberts in the future.

This was a sweet read but, I wasn’t as interested as it seemed to be the some old story set around a camper van at Christmas. The characters were likeable but, I just didn’t enjoy this one as much as I hoped. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Second in the Series, Mistletoe and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Campervan brings us back to Lucy and Jack. Will they find romance this Christmas? Or will Santa fill their stockings with coal and loneliness? This Christmas Lucy feels that her life is finally on track. Her cottage is feeling more like home. Her pizza business is taking off. Just as all seems well, the past returns. Will this be the end? I love the characters in this book. They are fun and have their quirks. I have not read the first book but was still able to follow the story. I plan to find the first book to read and look forward to the next. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Lucy has a horsebox that has been converted into a mobile pizza van
Jack has a vintage VW campervan which has been converted into a mobile cocktail bar
They have just started a relationship and often end up at the same events with their respective vans. But Lucy isn't convinced that Jack feels the same way she does
Can they work it out ?
