A welcome return to St. Aiden where we catch up with old friends and new.
Gwen and Ella are hoping for a fresh start in the Cornish village of St. Aiden. Tasked with renovating a small cottage and bringing it into the 21st century, they soon find that they are in over their heads. Can they, with a little help from new friends, turn the rundown cottage into a home?
A good addition to this series. A great cast of characters. An easy and enjoyable read.
I received an ARC of, A Winter Warmer at the Little Cornish Kitchen, by Jane Linfoot. I wished I lived in St. Aidan, a beautiful town with great people. Best friends Gwen and Ella are starting over in a new town. They are not off to a great start though. I enjoyed this cozy read, in Cornwall, I love Doc Martin, and reading stories like this one reminds me of the show. This is book 3 in a series.
A lovely read about two friends in need of a new life. Gwen & Ella, Gwen is the voice of the book, but we get to know Ella and the other protagonists through her. Although there is sadness there are also laugh out loud moments. An easy read. I love Cornwall and might move in with them!
Lifelong friends Gwen and Ella move to St Aidan’s to renovate a cottage that they had to bid for on the proviso that in exchange for doing the renovations they would be paying low rent. Both have experienced heartache and need a fresh start. Things start awkwardly when they enter Stargazey House instead of Stargazey Cottage and bump into owner Ollie Lancaster. What follows is a lovely story about new beginnings, coming terms with heartache and making some amazing new friends. I thought that the characters were great and I liked how the story was written mainly from Gwen’s point of view but you still had an idea on how the other characters were feeling. Thank you to Netgalley and One More Chapter for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

Gwen and her best friend, Stella are banking on restoring a property in St. Ives; they both need a fresh start. Unfortunately, they end up at the wrong house and break into neighbor Ollie Lancaster’s cottage. An auspicious start to be sure, things can only go up from there – right? A cast of eccentric characters and the beautiful Cornish coastline bring this story to life
Ella and Gwen move to Cornwall, both recovering from heartache. They end up renovating a seaside cottage and meet new friends along the way.
I loved this book! I wanted to crawl inside it and stay. I didn’t know it was part of a series and it’s book three. I will definitely be keeping this series on my list.
