I could honestly take or leave Leanne, she was *fine*, not super exciting but serviceable as a character. But Trev?? Bestill my heart I just want to wrap that man up in a blanket for a cuddle. His insecurity and subsequent growth throughout the book was beautiful to witness and read. He went from a painfully shy, incredibly depressed man to someone with confidence, friends, and a belief in himself and his abilities. To be honest, he might've been the real main character rather than Leanne and I was there for it.
Try as I might, this book just isn't for me. When I couldn't get into the e-book, I tried the audiobook. However, that wasn't the right fit for me either.
I have read all of the books in this series, and enjoyed all of them. With this particular book, however, I did not get the same vibes as the previous two nor did I feel like I couldn’t put this book down. I appreciate the author’s development of a character who is definitely not what one would normally see - usage of medicinal marijuana, going to therapy, having anxiety and depression - and having a strong female character who literally was changing the world of herself and her coven, but it seemed like a lot all at once. It felt so far removed from how the first two books were written that I almost felt like I was reading a different author.
All this to say that I enjoyed the book, I think it had a great storyline…it just overall felt flat to me.
Funny and lighthearted. A perfect addition to the Fix it Witches series. I don't typically like fake dating stories but this was well done and something I would suggest for a light romance reader.
This is a cute little paranormal romance about an ambitious witch who finds companionship with a less motivated man who has mental health issues. I loved the non-traditional role modeling here and the acceptance Leanne and Trevor have for the strengths and weaknesses of one another. It did feel like the witchy/paranormal elements were a bit of an afterthought, so really this is more of just a straight-up romance. This is the second title in this series I've read, and I have found both to be very cute.
This is a super cute and magical witchy series and I think this might have been my favourite book in the series. I liked the romance as well as the fact that there was a lot of dialogue about self worth and confidence. The ending felt a bit rushed but overall a fun read to get in the mood for the upcoming spooky / witchy season.

This was a really cute book especially for Halloween season. I really enjoyed the story line and loved seeing the main character develop throughout the book. The ending was really sweet too.
I hadn't realized when I first requested this that this was the third book in the series; however, I did not feel like that changed my ability to interact with the book or understand it.
I loved revisiting Leanne and Trevor and finally getting more of an inside look into their relationship. There is just something about a fake marriage trope that makes my heart so happy. Add the witchy element and I was sold. Overall I thought that this was a really fun read and something I fully enjoyed. It was really fun to follow along and watch Leanne really grow into herself and her relationship with Trevor.
I honestly was not expecting much out of this novel due to being very unimpressed by the male lead, Trevor, but I was pleasantly surprised! I would not recommend this as a standalone, as it is the third in a series and much of the novels happen simultaneously with previous books.
It's spicy early into the novel and has a thread of vulnerability throughout and who can turn down a fake marriage/marriage of convenience trope?
A fun read, even outside of Halloween!
This book was cute. I liked the relationship of the two main characters, and how despite their vast differences and histories, they worked together. The stakes just weren’t very high in this book, so if you’re looking for a lighthearted read with a lot of heart, this one is probably for you.
This was my favorite so far in Aguirre's Fix-It Witches series. I loved how vulnerable Leanne was under her harsher exterior and I loved how Trav was a genuinely sweet person. The marriage of convenice plot is hard to pull off in a contemporary but I thought Aguirre did it well. I'm excited to see where this series goes next!
The third book in the Fix It Witches series follows Leanne who doesn’t believe in true love but needs to find the right husband to help her image as she runs for city council. Trevor’s life has fallen apart and he finds himself divorced, jobless, and pretty hopeless. The two end up in a marriage of convenience to help support each other.
This was my least favorite book in the series and it just did not hold my attention the way the others did. I think a large part of that was due to both MCs being incredibly insecure and at times immature, and it frustrated me. I did appreciate the way this book tied together some pieces from the previous books, and I loved seeing where the other characters were in their lives as well.
I enjoyed Ava Lucas as the narrator of the audiobook and appreciated the distinct voices she used for Trevor and Leanne.
Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the advance copies.
I am an absolute sucker for witchy reads; and this one didn’t disappoint. This is book three in the Fix-it Witches series. Trevor and Leanne enter a marriage of opportunity - she needs a husband to shore up her political aspirations and he needs a one way ticket out of his shitty life.
She doesn’t believe in love and he is so down on his luck that he can’t even believe in himself. They’re adorable together, the book has a few laugh out loud moments, and the supporting characters are fantastic.
Extra Witchy is the third novel in the Fix-It Witches series, and although I haven’t yet read the first two stories I didn’t feel lost at all. I’d consider this one stand-alone territory with mention of the previous books’ main characters occasionally. But I will go back for the earlier books at some point.
Leanne is out to find husband number three. No, she certainly doesn’t believe in forever love, but she does acknowledge that in this town her political chances are much better if she’s married. And Trevor is a perfect candidate considering their earlier encounter and his need to separate himself somewhat from his toxic family. Neither expected a sudden happy ever after, yet they did find a deeper relationship, someone who saw and excepted them for exactly who they are, and perhaps the stirrings of some stronger feelings along the way. A few missteps, the pesky promise not to tell her husband that she’s a witch aside, their situation works for them.
I enjoyed watching their interactions, learning about the real person they’ve married, and hoped for that happy future to happen for them. I might have wished for more magic, and witchy parts to this one but overall I had a good time here.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Leanne is a badass powerhouse witch, with a successful career, beauty, and confidence. So when her one night stand with Trevor turns into a fake marriage, it’s simply a mutually beneficial business arrangement.

This book has everything. It’s unexpectedly spicy right from the beginning, has fantastic magical world building, and laugh-out-loud humor. Leanne and Trevor are complete opposites. Leanne is a ambitious, cunning, and running for city council. Trevor is jobless, enjoys weed, and is struggling mentally.
⠀
It’s so easy to get attached to these wonderful characters. This book is the third book in the Fix-It Witches series but can be read as a standalone. The characters from the other two books make cameos in this books which is a delightful surprise.

I definitely recommend this series!
I definitely made a mistake by not reading the previous books before this one, i was so lost. I do not recommend reading this as a standalone, it will be confusing and definitely feel like I missed so much.
The Fix-It series has been so much fun. Because of overlapping timelines in the series, we already know Leanne and Trevor married on a whim, but now we learn how and why and what comes after. Because of this, it’s best read in order.
I loved the theme of expectations running throughout Extra Witchy. Trevor is expected to always be a screw up from his family that he internalizes. Leanne is expected to be in the background politically and follow the rules of being a witch. Expectations get left behind as they each find freedoms in becoming their best self with the support of the other. Gender norms and role expectations are also flipped upside down and completely ignored in this book. Trevor’s nurturing personality paired well with Leanne’s more ambitious one. And it was undefined expectations of what the relationship was becoming that led to conflict between them.
This one was much lighter in the witchy vibe and I found myself missing that aspect. While Leanne uses magic on her appearance, we really don’t get to see it.
Tropes:
Opposites attract
Fake marriage/marriage of convenience
I’m hoping this series continues as I’m excited for the direction the author is taking it.
So excited for the third in series. This delightful and witchy rom com between Leanna And Trevor will have you laughing out loud. The beginning explores Trevor and depression which makes him all the more who you want to love and root for. I have enjoyed all the books in the series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc in exchanged for an honest review!
The Fix-It Witches is a fun romance series that I have truly enjoyed and Extra Witchy was no different! I thought it was a fantastic book filled with banter and interesting characters that you just want to see happy. I loved that the main male character severed from depression and it was represented so well. I think showing depression and mental health rep is super important especially in male characters because I feel like they usually aren't the ones shown suffering. The Marriage of convenience troupe was done so well and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
I loved reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4 stars read for me. I love this author snd her writing style.
Thanks to netgally for this arc.
