I love the new installment of this series. I am enjoying being able to see the different relationships between the covern members. I hope the next book focus on Melinda and Dante. I want to see what happened in her past. I enjoyed being able to see Trev and Leanne able to work through their difference and work together to create a better life for each other and the other witches. Look forward to the next book. I hope the next in the series are just as good as the first 3.

Extra Witchy is the third book in the Fix-it Witches series by Ann Aguirre. In the first two books we are focused on Danica and Titus, and Clem and Gaven. Reading the books in order may help with some of the subtle history of Leanne and her friendship with Danica, Clem, and the coven. Also, events in this book happen concurrently with the previous books. I found this one to be a fun fall read. Leanne is a strong woman who has her life together. Trevor, however, has very low self-esteem and self doubt, and feels like he is the family screw up. The story takes fake dating and quickly turns into a marriage of convenience. I like how Leanne was such a positive influence on Trevor. She doesn't try to fix him, but she definitely brings out his best. The book covers getting therapy positively and that is another bonus.
If you are looking for a Witchy series, I highly recommend this one. The author has created some great characters and the books are fun romances.
Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the review copy. This is my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca, Sourcebooks Casablanca for ARC of Extra Witchy by Ann Aguirre. This series is a hallmark after-dark style book. Very sweet and light but a little too cutesy at times for my taste giving it the Hallmark rating of 4/5 gift cards. I also wish there were more descriptions of the magic system and how our FMC uses her witchcraft. Overall I liked the vibe and the relationship between FMC and MMC which feels fun and enjoyable. This witch light book is nice a respite from some of the darker occult witch series. 4/5

I LOVE THIS SERIES. And I love that we are getting closer to fall so give me all the witchy vibes.
This is a strange series because all the books have the same timeline. We got a glimpse of Trevor and Leanne in the middle of Boss Witch. And their story takes place while Clem and Gavin and Danica and Titus have theirs as well.
Right away I was so excited for Leanne and Trevor's story. I knew there would be a lot of fun and spice. Then we add a marriage of convenience? I'm sold.
Leanne has such a cool job in politics. I feel like we don't see that as a career without it being the point of the whole book so I didn't really expect it. She was such a badass and I loved seeing her go for what she wants and stop putting up with the bullshit misogyny in her field.
TREVOR WAS THE REAL MVP OF THIS BOOK. OMG. Such a book boyfriend. He was lost and I loved seeing him find himself and getting the help for his mental health. His last relationship had an awful break up and his family thought of him as such a screw up and he was so lost. He couldn't even believe Leanne would want him.
They both ended up needing each other in ways they weren't sure of. I think they might be my fav couple of the series! And also the conclusion of this book is not something you will expect! Don't want to give spoilers, but seriously just wait!
5/5

Thank you Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for this arc.
Our witch is looking for a third husband. In walks Trevor, a human introvert who constantly doubts himself. Even In front of people he just met! They do on on building a real relationship. You'd think that would be interesting, wouldn't you? Well, it was otherwise for me.
Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the book. First of all, She was acting like she was in her early twenties. That didn't fit well considering her age and job. Secondly, they hooked up too fast. And their connection came out of nowhere. No plot to speak of, everything felt very unsettled. More importantly, I was very disappointed by the lack of the magic element in the story. It lacked emotions and excitement. It fell flat for me and was a miss.

I just adore this series. It has it all with a witchy twist. There are strong female main characters, strong female friendships, love storylines, funny side characters, all sprinkled with witchy magic.
I’ve loved all three of these books but this one may be my favorite. (Of course I’ve said that about all of them. But I mean it now.) Leanne & Trev are flawed & kind of broken but also funny & lovable. Also the female friendships have been strong throughout the series but Trev & his friends were featured heavily in this one. It was great to see healthy male bonding featured in a book.
I really can’t recommend this enough. This book does have some really sexy scenes so if you have a delicate disposition, fast forward through those parts.

Extra Witchy is the third book in the Fix It Witches series - a paranormal, romance / RomCom series about some witches in a small town. I would strongly recommend reading these in order, or else the book might be confusing with how these stories overlap.
I’ve been really loving the light fantasy / paranormal romance romcom subgenre lately, especially as we move into fall. For this book though, I’m afraid I’m just not the reader for this particular book - it just wasn’t for me.
While I read the earlier books in the series and liked them, I found that I connected more with those main characters and their love stories. I think that was my main struggle with this one - I didn’t feel connected with either of our mains or their chemistry.
The book still has some great tropes and has what I’ve come to expect from the series in terms of magic, romance, small town fun and humorous moments. Although this one wasn’t a match for me, I will still try more from the author in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read an early copy.

3.5 Stars I wasn't sure what to expect from Extra Witchy by Ann Aguirre since I didn't read the previous two books in the series, but I absolutely loved it! I didn't feel confused because I hadn't read the previous books and didn't feel like I was missing important info. I wasn't sure what to make of the main hero, Trevor, at first, but he was a great love interest. We love a sensitive man who doesn't rely on his partner (in this case, the main character Leanne) for his happiness, challenges gender roles (househusband FTW!), and goes to therapy to work on his issues. I loved seeing Trevor's growth and how his feelings about his self-worth changed. Leanne definitely helped him with this by supporting him, but she didn't make him a project or try to change him to fit her life. I also loved Leanne changing the witch's code for keeping their existence a secret, even from their nonmagical partners. She was so badass! It was easy to breeze through this book in one evening and the whole thing was great.

Okay wow this series just gets better and better. I had thought it was just going to be a duology of cousins Clem and Danica but here we get another coven member's story, one from twice divorced Leanne, who makes a quip in one of the previous books about some guy at a party at the Waterhouse residence becoming her third husband.
Now all of these books overlap one another for the first part at least, so this party occurred also in Boss Witch. We don't really see Clem however, as Leanne happens to be closer to Danica. Well, this is largely because Danica is still dating Titus, who happens to be Trev's best friend.
Trev is a hot mess, found at the start of this novel living in his parents' basement and being disparaged by them. Because of the treatment he receives from them, he's largely of the opinion that everyone thinks he's good for nothing. He has no reason to get up in the mornings and ends up smoking and gaming his days away. He's not employed.
However, for Leanne, this happens to be the perfect person to ask to enter a fake relationship when her mom ends up showing up out of nowhere. Then, for political aspirations, and the chemistry the two of them have, her quip about him becoming her third husband becomes somewhat more... real.
Trev catches feelings fairly quickly. This is in part because she gets him out of his parents' basement, but also because she believes in him. With counselling, he also starts to realise that not all of his friends think that he's good for nothing. And that he's actually been pushing people who want to be friends with him away from him.
I loved both of these characters, and the journeys they go on in this book are entertaining and refreshing. Particularly I loved that this book turned on its head the rich man who rescues the penniless woman. Leanne doesn't at all care that she's supporting Trev, and he does all the house husband things around the house, and really genuinely enjoys them. This was a very real book to me in a lot of ways, without fetishising the tropes it utilised, and I just loved it.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author Ann Aguirre, & Sourcebooks Casablanca for allowing me to have an arc!
Tropes/topics: fake dating, fake marriage, witch, personal traumas, trauma healing, older characters
This book had me hook from the beginning. It’s hard for most books to do that to me when I usually struggle for 20+ pages making me bored. Both main characters have trauma of their own that they have been dealing with. They never fully open up about everything to each other but they hit on a few things.
Our FMC is Leanne who works in the mayors office but wants to dip her toes into the political world herself by running against the towns slimy councilman. Did I mention she’s also a witch? In order for Leanne to poll better with the people she needed to be married.. but she’s already been divorced twice.
Trevor is a man who has been dealt a bad hand with his toxic family & ex gf. Pushing him to anxiety & depression while hating himself because he doesn’t have a job, money, or motivation.
Leanne & Trevor end up at the same party & Leanne’s pick up line is, “I’m Leanne. Want to be my third husband?” They end up getting steamy in the bathroom for everyone to hear. 😏
They end up fake dating to fake marriage that turns to true love. I really loved this book & appreciated having older characters (30’s).
One of my favorite quotes in this book (that’s around 38%) is from Trev’s pov.
“He’d never put too much thought into what he wanted from a relationship, but now, one unshakable certainty coalesced: It shouldn’t feel like work. Sure, it would require effort and nurturing down the line. But each moment shouldn’t feel like being a salmon swimming upstream to spawn.”

Ann Aguirre’s Fix-it Witches series is doing some really interesting things within the contemporary small town romance genre. In Extra Witchy, Aguirre puts two characters who would typically be side characters in the middle of the action. Leanne is the ambitious career woman and Trevor is the stoner slacker who lives in his parents’ basement. In Witch, Please, their bathroom hookup at Danica and Clem’s party was a source of amused befuddlement, (though not unkindly because Ann Aguirre doesn’t do unkind). In another romcom, they might have been paired up for laughs, or maybe Leanne would subvert her political ambitions by making Trevor her fixer-upper. Neither of those things happen here. Leanne never tries to fix Trevor and after some reasonable side-eye, their friends accept them as a couple.
We know that Leanne brings the wine to coven meetings and is gorgeous, competent, and a bit sharp edged. Trevor is sweet, reliable, unambitious, and likes to smoke weed and play video games. He’s the guy Titus calls when he needs help. The beginning of Extra Witchy gives some background on why Leanne walks up to Trevor and invites him to become her third husband.
Twice divorced Leanne wants to run for city council, but she knows she’s a hard sell as a single woman. Leanne thinks Trevor is charming and sweet after their hookup turns into a one night stand. He’s also convenient. Conveniently single and available for a marriage of mutual convenience. She needs a husband who will make her more relatable and will support her run for office. He needs to get out of his parent’s basement and some breathing room to build his own life.
I love the way Aguirre explored the double-edge sword of expectations. Trevor doesn’t meet his father’s expectations for what a man should be, so Trevor is told he is a disappointment. His family expects only failure from him and his anxiety and depression amplify that message. Leanne accepts him for who he is and values his kindness. She expects that he will figure out what he wants eventually, and leaves him to it. She gives him the freedom to succeed in whatever way he chooses. But undefined expectations also cause friction between them.
I loved this. I loved Leanne and Trevor. I loved the middle finger to toxic masculinity and gender expectations. I loved the way characters made missteps, apologized, and tried again in a constant dance of evolving relationship. Only the people who aren’t willing to try are shut out of relationships.
There is a lot of plot in the back half of Extra Witchy. I thought it holds together well, thought a lot of different things happen. For people uncomfortable that Danica doesn’t tell Titus she’s a witch in Witch, Please, that issue is resolved in this book.
CW: Toxic families, past child neglect, discussion of abortion, discussion of hunting and death of an animal, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, misogyny, death of a parent, HEA baby.
I received this advance reader copy from Sourcebooks Casablanca via NetGalley. My opinions are my own, freely and honestly given.

It's Leanne's turn to shine and she takes some BIG steps toward finding her place in everything and changing things for the better for, well, everyone. It all starts when she homes in on Trev at a party and finds herself liking what she finds.
Leanne's the witch with two failed marriages behind her and the firm belief that she's done in that department. She's become a wee bit disillusioned with her job and she's found herself wanting more. What does that mean? It means she's tired of writing PR bites to make those in office who aren't doing anything look good and she's ready to try her hand at running for city council. The only downside to her plan is that her two divorces don't look great on paper so she enlists Trev to be her first gentleman and...well, it's not all business between these two when all is said and done.
As for Trev, his sense of self is seriously scraping bottom thanks to his family and their digs at his lifestyle. He doesn't see himself as much of a catch for anyone, much less a beautiful, driven woman who is going places. But Leanne asks for his help and lays out a plan of attack and soon the two are teaming up in a marital sense to make that plan work.
A little soul-searching, a little dealing with some old baggage, and a lot of finding what works for the two of them and suddenly their plan is taking a turn for the better. As in THINGS HAPPEN and both of them realize they've found the person they don't want to be without. *heart eyes*

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. Enjoyed the book. Perfect timing with Halloween around the corner!

I am so excited to review Extra Witchy by Ann Aguirre, which is the third book in the Fix-It Witches series. I have not read the previous books, and although there were times that I knew there was background information I didn't have on some of the secondary characters, it didn't impact my understanding or enjoyment of the story. I absolutely adored this witchy romcom!
There are so many aspects of this book that I loved, but foremost was Trevor (M-MC). As the story opens, he is struggling with depression, unemployed, still shattered after a traumatic breakup in his past, and living in the basement of his toxic parents' house. Trevor is loyal, hardworking, sensitive, and has a natural affinity for social media marketing. The sensitivity and authenticity with which the author addresses Trev's mental health struggle is one of the reasons I love this book so much. Watching as Trev works so hard to heal, recognize his own worth, and open himself to friends who have been with him all along, was just so uplifting.
Leanne is an engaging F-MC: super organized, strong-willed, generous, and wants to make a difference in the world, starting by running for city council. With two divorces under her belt, she doesn't believe in forever, just for now. As she falls for Trev without even realizing it's happening, I just had to smile while I was reading.
I adored the development of the relationship between Leanne and Trevor. In addition to their immediate chemistry, the story showcases their mutual respect and support for each other. I appreciate that this is not a one sided relationship where one character is saving the other. Trevor is at his lowest when he meets Leanne and she presents an opportunity by which he is able to pull himself out of a terrible situation. She holds out a helping hand, he takes it, and does the work to begin healing himself. Trevor is always looking out for Leanne, taking care of mundane household chores, running the social media side of her city council campaign, and protecting her emotional wellbeing. He even goes so far as to not pull any punches when telling Leanne's mother her shortcomings in her relationship with her daughter and giving suggestions for how to work on it.
This spicy, witchy romcom is perfect for for readers who love marriage of convenience, he falls first, and found family.
Trigger Warning: Depression, Toxic Family Relationships, Drug Use
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing an advance reader copy in return for my honest review.

Leanne Vanderpol is a badass witch. With two failed marriages behind her, she decided that love is not for her and her career will come first. She decides to run for city council but it's a "boy's group" and she'll have to get a more palatable image to have a shot at winning.
Trevor Montgomery was "the man" in high school and college until... he wasn't. Too many parties, the wrong woman, and everything went to hell. Now he lives a mediocre life in his parents' basement, doing odd jobs here and there and taking all sorts of crap from his family. When he attends a party with his friend Titus, he can't believe when the stunning redhead point blank asks him if he will be her third husband. She's joking, it's her "line", but whaddya know? After a hot hot hookup at the party, he may end up being that...
This is the third book in the Fix It Witches series and it overlaps a bit with book 2. It's a standalone but I strongly suggest reading the other two to enjoy this adorable book fully.
I love how badass Leanne is and how she lives her life without caring for anyone's opinion. She's confident, assertive and I love it! Trevor is THE cinnamon roll hero! You want to hug him and bake him cookies. It's clear that he's been battling an undiagnosed depression for the longest time and his family couldn't care less. I love how Leanne sees his worth as a person and as a partner even before she falls for him.
Yes, there is miscommunication but it's par for the course in marriage of convenience stories when each character "catches feelings" when they know they agreed not to.
I love the witchy part of the book too. They finally addressed something that bothered me immensely in the previous books as it deals with trusting your partner. And I love that it was Leanne who "fixed it" and how badass she was in doing it.
We saw a bit of Danica, Titus, Clem and I want more! I hope we get more stories about the St. Claire witches.
Possible triggers: toxic relationships with family; depression; feelings of inadequacy and very low self-esteem
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you, author, @NetGalley, @sourcebookscasa.

I enjoyed this book so much. It was such a sweet feel good romance. Trev and Leanne were just adorable together and I couldn't help rooting for their happily ever after. The coven of Wiches is just fantastic. I hope this won't be the last we hear from them.
Thank you, Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

📖My Thoughts📖
Do you love romance, witches and a little spice? If so, you definitely need to add this spellbinding book to your collection! This was the third book in the rom-com witchy series by Ann Aguirre and though I read the first one and somehow missed the second one (definitely need to fix that) I feel this could be read as a stand-alone. This was such a very well written captivating book! I read this in basically one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down! I really loved the relationship between Leanne and Trev, as well as the strong relationships the characters had with one another. This book had me laughing, sitting on the edge of my seat, and even frustrated wanting to reach through the book at times to yell at the two main characters about how silly they were both acting (hey, if you want to know what I’m talking about, you need to get the book). I seriously fell in love with this book! I think it’s perfect that it’s coming out in October. Do yourself a favor and grab a nice pumpkin latte and a copy of this book and lose yourself in its entirety.
Thank you Netgalley, Sourcebooks Casablanca and Ann Aguirre for the opportunity to read and review this amazing book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

A witch with aspirations to become a politician needs the perfect husband to help her image and to get her mom off her back, except what she doesn’t expect is to fall for him. Leanne Vanderpol has been working tirelessly for the mayor and finally dreams about pursuing her own political career but with two divorces and a past that might come back to ruin her chances of winning city council, Leanne needs the right husband to help her. Leanne has had a history of complicated relationships with trust , especially with a mother who acts more like a child than an actual mother. Leanne has closed herself off and what she needs is a man who understands that all she needs is someone to support her as she pursues her career in politics. When Trevor Montgomery goes to a friend’s party the last thing he expects is to be asked to be the third husband of an absolutely stunning redhead. Trevor is still reeling from the damage of his last breakup, the one that completely destroyed him and has him now jobless, dateless, and hopeless (according to his family). Trevor hasn’t picked up the pieces so when he is completely thrown off by the straightforward and extremely beautiful Leanne he feels like its the chance of a lifetime. So when Leanne and Trevor have a one night stand that turns into more as Leanne proposes that Trevor help her, both of them start to slowly fall for each other and realize that they just might be the perfect person for each other. This was such a cute and sweet read. I adored how we see both Trevor and Leanne work through their complicated issues and how they both support and love one another. Though this is the third book in the series it can definitely be read as a standalone, however I do think you’ll have so much more fun reading the series in order since many of the characters of the other books make cameos in this one! This was a fun and sweet rom com about healing and giving love a chance.
*Thanks Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca, Sourcebooks Casablanca for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I love reading books by Ann Aguirre and this was no exception!

I really enjoy this series. It is light fantasy rom-com fun, which I adore. That being said, I didn't really connect with Leanne as a Main Character. She was not one of my favorite secondary characters either. So, this is really a personal preference. Extra Witchy still contained the Hallmarks of the Fix-It Witches series- humor, magic and romance. I loved books 1 and 2. This one just wasn't for me.
