Super cute. I loved everything about this book. The narration was good. Loved the characters and will be recommending it.

This book was utterly amazing! It was *Chef's kiss*. Excellent debut novel! I can't wait to read the next book!!

This just wasn't a win for me - I couldn't connect with this audiobook, I will consider the ebook since I think the premise sounds good

I understand why this has to be, but I hate the fact that the quality of NetGalley's audiobooks is so poor. However, this one was too much. I couldn't finish listening to it. I'll purchase the book once it gets published.

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky was such a cute read.
Never Been Kissed is To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before meets Dear Evan Hansen meets Dear Simon coming of age story about Wren Roland.
Wren Roland is in a quest of getting his movie-perferct first kiss. While he is no longer a closeted teenager, he never quite expressed his feelings to his first ever crush. So in a To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before fashion, Wren accidentally emails his confession to Derick Haverford, his almost-first-kiss on the eve of his birthday.
Derick Haverford is the new social media intern for the local drive-in theater. Without using his good looks and his father’s connections, Derick is trying to find a way to pave his own way and convince his dad to support his dreams and his passions.
Faced with the impending closing of his beloved drive-in theatre, Wren and Derick must work together in a special project to save the theatre, find a way to reconnect, while at the same time swim through the murky waters of figuring out one’s sexuality.
Will Wren finally get his picture-perfect, movie-worthy, HEA??
This book was sooo adorable and it’s just such a feel good story.

this was super cute and different. I really loved the plot and character development throughout the novel. I find rom com books usually lack that so I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

An adorable story with a wonderful narrator who tells the story in a way that makes the world feel real and like you are right there by the characters sides.

Ah, a tale as old as time. A young adult who wants to be in a relationship, but only if it’s as perfect as all the rom-coms they’ve seen. Who amongst us hasn’t wanted that classic ending shot of an all-encompassing kiss set against a setting sun before the credits roll?
For Wren in Never Been Kissed, that’s all he wants. After getting drunk before his birthday, he sends emails to all the boys he had feelings for before he came out. Upon waking and deeply regretting the decision, one boy, Derick, returns to his life as the social media intern at the local drive-in where Roland works.
I sometimes struggle with audiobooks, and for me they live and die by the narrator. Mark Sanderlin does an amazing job, imbuing emotion into the words and keeping my attention the entire time. I felt Wren’s anxiety over his budding relationship with Derick, the stress over keeping the drive-in alive, and the longing for love.
This book had a lot of heart and charm. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Timothy Janovsky.

What a heartwarming story! I’m always on the hunt to add more LGBTQ+ rep stories to my monthly reads, and was so happy I came across NEVER BEEN KISSED.
I also really enjoyed the audiobook format, which was narrated by Mark Sanderlin.

This was very cute. A solid YA romance with a David versus Goliath storyline to rally around. Themes of being true to yourself. I enjoyed it!

This was so cute I loved it so much and devoured it in one sitting. I definitely want my by the author

This book really warmed my heart. It was an adorable romance book perfect for uplifting spirits and making you smile. It was cute and well-paced. I particularly loved the LGBT+ representation and how this book didn't feel like one big stereotype. Really great to see more high-quality queer romance books.
As with most romance books, the concept isn't exactly a new one but that's almost a given when you pick up a new book from this genre. You expect the cheesy storylines and you love them because they make you happy. It's the type of story to make any hopeless romantic swoon. This book was just that, cheesy and a bit predictable but lovely nonetheless.
This is definitely a book you'll want to pick up and read on the beach or by the pool this summer to feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Unfortunately, this just wasn’t the book for me. It had a fun premise and plot but I wasn’t overly connected to the characters. If you like new adult romance with tons of fun angst and fun tropes, check this one out!

This was so cute. It started out very To All the Boys I've Loved Before but then it changed up and made itself more unique. I loved Wren, he was the sweetest. The way he cared about the drive-in and the actress (I listened to this almost 2 months ago so I cannot remember her name) was so nice to see. Derick was...fine. He was fine. I didn't love him, I didn't hate him. But this was such a good gay summer romance novel!

I loved this book. I didn't expect to relate so much to Wren as I did, especially when he realized he had more to learn about himself and his identity. I had a little bit of an issue with the audiobook skipping around in chapters, not sure if it was the recording or just my phone, but I was able to connect the dots well enough.

This was a delight.
There are sometimes books that just make you warm and fuzzy and this was one for me. Not because it is always rainbow and sunshine but because it comes together and affirms you in a way you did not know you needed.
Wren is a college graduate who has never been kissed- he has had crushes sure but has never had those feelings reciprocated and on graduation night he decides while intoxicated to send out a series of emails he had drafted to said crushes very à la “to all the boys I’ve loved before” but sans the meddling sister. This meddling is all his own.
One email goes to his former crush Derick who is now going to be a coworker at the local struggling drive in and what Wren expected to be. Great summer just got a whole lot more complicated. *sigh*
I think this had a lot going for it. The queer romance and a non-traditional character in Wren. A local landmark in need of saving and a sometimes crochety old woman.
This was an easy read and one that I consistently enjoyed each time I picked it up. I think the narrator did a nice job and embodied Wren well.
I look forward to Timothy Janovsky’s next release this fall.
Thank you Sourcebooks and NetGalley for the opportunity to check this one out!

OHMYGOSH!!
For this being his debut novel, Timothy Janovsky did an amazing job!! This book was so cute and full of heart and fight!! I’m just so giddy from that ending!! 😍
Wren and Derick’s journey together and separate was wonderful to watch. Derick standing up to his Dad and Wren educating himself and finding that he’s gay and demisexual and learning that he can be both!! So much growth with these two!!
And Alice, what a firecracker!! I loved her so much!! I want to know her in real life!!!! #spiritanimal
The audiobook was great!! I loved the narrator!! Soothing voice, made me want to keep listening!!
If you enjoy a good MM romance or miss going to drive-in movie theaters, please, PLEASE read this one!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the wonderful opportunity to read and review this amazing book!!

I really liked this book. Most of the events feel true and believable as they happen to the main characters. The voice modulation and reading of the narrator was quite commendable too. I 100% recommend this for anyone looking for and LGBT book, or even a light, touching audio book.
I received an e-ALC of this work courtesy of its publishers and NetGalley. All views expressed here are completely mine.

This was just the CUTEST. The anxious main character mixed with the calm counterpart was perfect. Not only a love story, but also a story of a town coming together for what they believe is important. Definately worth the read!

Originally when looking at reviews of this I saw a lot of people comparing it to Red, White, and Royal blue but I definitely saw more of To all the boys I've loved before in this. What I loved most about this book was the setting, the drive in and all the discussions of classic movies was right up my alley and I loved being in that world constantly. I also loved the friend group and surrounding characters, I felt they were well developed and really added to the story. This was the first book I've read that discussed demisexuality and I really enjoyed that, it's nice to broaden the discussion of relationships. I did feel that although I loved Wren and Derick together, there wasn't a beginning development of their relationship. We were told they were almost a thing and then they started talking to each other again with like instant flirting even though there was miscommunication about just being friends. It took me out of the story because I was confused on where the feelings came from.
