I really enjoyed it! I liked that the author was honest and vulnerable about his own experience with OCD and mental health. It gave me a new view of the armor of God!

As somebody who struggles with anxiety, I definitely loved reading this book and putting my focus on how God has equipped me to handle anything all to His glory.

For someone struggling, Perfectly Suited by Peabody will be encouraging and helpful. The author walks through the armor of God and explains how that is helpful through trials.
*I received this book through NetGalley from the publisher in exchange for my thoughts.

It is clearly a book for religious people. Wich I should have realise before demanding the book.
For someone closer to religion. I think It could be a good one for them, but with my point of view. I just feel it's commanding you stuff, that I can't relate.

The author brings us intimately into his own struggles and gives us his reflections on the Armor of God. With a frank openness and focus on the scripture, I really enjoyed reading through this book and looking at many of the passages in a new light. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC, all opinions are my own.

This is one of the best books I've read about the armor of God. Instead of the typical focus on what we as Christians need to "put on", J.D. Peabody emphasizes the power of the armor lies in what God has already done. It's not more work for us, another thing to add to our morning to-do lists. "Our sermons and studies become burdensome lectures because we focus on what is being asked of us rather than on what has been given to us. We concentrate on the picking up and putting on instead of the armor itself." Each chapter breaks down a piece of armor in a fresh but Biblically-sound way. I am excited to re-read this and have already recommended it to several friends. -- "I've spent too many years straining to be sinless instead of learning what it means to live like a forgiven person." YES.

A good reminder to look into ourself and check what grace really mean to us. Because oftenly, we see grace as something we need in hard times only. And to fight our mind that we don’t deserve the grace.
