This was such an excellent book! I am not a super active person, (my habits tend to fall towards reading, knitting, and cozying up with warm drinks, haha) but after finishing this book I have gone on several 4 miles + bike rides with my children and we have loved it. We don't have any allergies and tend to eat healthfully anyway, but this helped me think about our lives in a more holistic manner and I'm planning more adjustments throughout our lives! I love how Jodi points us back to God at every point! I was part of the launch team and received a free digital copy of the book, however I purchased my own physical copy and the review is my own!
A brand new book from Jodi of her experience and strategies in raising a family in a whole and healthy way! Broken up into 3 sections, Jodi addresses 3 main areas (mind, body and spirit) to focus on, that help foster wellness for ones whole self. The strategies are applicable to all family types, backgrounds, knowledge and ability to execute. Jodi does not consider herself a guru, and her way the only way, rather she strongly encourages you to do your own research and come to a conclusion that will best suit your family. Mixed with further reading suggestions, scripture and practical suggestions this book is a wealth of knowledge.
I’ve been following Jodi on Instagram for years. She’s constantly been an encouraging voice not only in my homeschool, but in my mothering as well.
This book was more of the same in the best way. I feel I got to know her and her heart even better and it was just a great enjoyment to read.
If you’re looking for a compelling read about living life differently, raising your kids and caring for your home in a way that doesn’t quite fit the status quo, this is it. Jodi is full of knowledge, wisdom and insightfulness. Her opinions on schooling, health, food, and home are a breath of fresh air and a balm to this heart. I can’t away either numerous nuggets of wisdom that I plan to implement in my own home!
