A Cinnadom hero and Victorian doctor inspired sexy times, First and Forever delivers a fun romance with complex characters.
I liked how Willow was gone for Eden the first moment he saw her. Eden certainly was a hard nut to crack but I didn’t mind watching Willow break down the walls around her heart.
The writing is addictive and the sex delicious!
This is a standalone in a series.
Eve Dangerfield is a master in writing perfect scenes where spicy and different kinks merge with romance, the development of feelings happens through trust and physical contact in a way that is difficult to achieve and in my experience as a reader difficult to find
.
First and Forever, is the third book in the series and in each story, the characters are real people within their social labels of nice guy, player, dj or influencer they show all the faces of these realities and maybe that's why she catches me and I can't stop reading even if some character doesn't make me fall in love with
.
Willow is a soccer player to whom everything came effortlessly and had to learn to work hard to keep up. In the last years of his career there is only one thing that he lacks and that is the woman on stage behind the console playing her best songs, he is convinced that she is the woman of his life even though she has not met him yet
.
Eden is at the beginning of her career, between endless nights, layers of makeup trying to stay afloat and get the European tour that could take her career to the next level. When a red-haired stranger who looks at her as if she were a goddess appears at the after party behind the scenes, she thinks that he is what the night is missing, just an instant of lust without words before continuing to party, not expecting her world to start collapsing from the moment when their lips touch for the first time
.
Willow is convinced that he can make her his wife, he just needs time and that she agrees to be his fake girlfriend
.
Between role-playing games, deals and confessions both find more than they expected in the other and the courage they needed to move forward
.
Thanks to Eve Dangerfield and Xpresso Book Tours for give me a copy of this amazing book I really enjoyed reading it
Willow is a professional football player who hasn’t allowed his success to change who he is. He is close to his family and is looking for a woman not for a fling but forever and he thinks he has found her but first he needs to convince her.
Music is Eden’s life which doesn’t allow much time for anything else. When she meets Willow, the sparks fly but she can’t afford to be distracted from her goals and doesn’t plan to pursue anything. Fate had other plans and they soon find themselves in a mutually beneficial pretend relationship however the only one she is fooling is herself.
Willow is everything you could want in a man and so much more both in and out of bed. The chemistry between them is flaming while he supports her and her career that the difference in their lifestyles doesn’t seem that different after all.
Thanks #NetGalley for giving my the opportunity to read this one before it was published in exchange for a unbiased review.
I read Captivated by Eve Dangerfield and Tessa Bailey not long ago and loved it and knew I wanted to try more books by Dangerfield so when this one came up, I jumped on it, and I am so glad I did. The beginning was a little slow for me since I haven't read the other books in this series but I wasn't lost and soon things picked up. This contemporary romance has a little something for everyone: professional sports playing hero, up and coming musician heroine, fake romance, role playing fantasies and major Stern Brunch Daddy vibes. Dangerfield's writing is hot and spicy and sweet romance rolled into one fantastic read. I can't wait to read the other books in this series and I hope we get Pyscho and Cheryl's story soon!

This was my first Eve Dangerfield book and I will definitely be coming back for more!
In this book (#3 in the Rebirth series) Eden, a Melbourne DJ with her star on the rise, meets Willow, an older burly football star, at one of her gigs where a "seven minutes in heaven" moment ensues. Willow convinces Eden that he can help raise her visibility and help her get added the lineup of the international EDM tour of her dreams. This fake relationship / friends-with-benefits is scorching as these two help live out their sexual fantasies. And a beautiful HEA, of course!
Thanks to Netgallley, Xpresso Books, and Eve Dangerfield for the galley copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have loved Eve Dangerfield's other books, but this one missed the mark for me. Don't get. me wrong, I was beyond excited to read it based off the blurb, but midway through the book it become lackluster to me. My first complaint is the MMC who is 33 years old and pining after a younger DJ named Eden. Maybe it was the age gap or just the story itself, but I couldn't find myself wanting to finish the book. There were parts that made me go "what grown adult would do this?" I know this story isn't based off of true events, but this book just didn't do it for me. I only read about half of it and I would give it a 1/5 based off of what I did read. The only thing I liked about this book were the steamy scenes. Even Dangerfield can write some great steamy scenes so those didn't disappoint.

Meet Willow, a 33 year old soccer player who constantly thinks he has found “the one.” A happy go lucky charmer of a man, he becomes infatuated with DJ Bunny Descent, aka Eden Jade Cartwright. He wiggles his way backstage after one of her gigs, and with a steamy broom closet hookup, a rollercoaster of spice and emotions begins. However, Eden is aiming for a European tour all while running from the ghosts of her past. Will they or wont they? Is it just on the surface or is it something more? Follow these two on a fun adventure or letting go and giving in to love. If you like some solid spice, check this one out when it drops on May 4.

Thank you to @netgalley for the opportunity to read this before it is published!
If I’m going to be honest, this was not my favorite book. HOWEVER it was fun to read. There is plenty of spice, I just wish there had been more character and plot development. BUT again, if you like some spicy shenanigans, give this one a go. Truthfully, I almost DNF’d this one. But I kept going hoping the plot and characters would deepen. There was a ton of potential there but it never seemed to kick in to the level I personally wish it had. But if you want a quick, steamy read, maybe a pallet cleanser after some serious books, check this one out.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC. I did not realize that this book was part of a series and therefore it did take me quite a few chapters to get into it. After that I picked up and I was invested in the characters on the story. I did like the dialogue as well as the sexy times and I really thought overall it ended up being pretty good. All opinions on my own.
Finished reading First and Forever last night, thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy. I'm not going to lie, it took me a while to get into this book. I thought the first few chapters (and their meeting) were just not what I normally signed up for in a romance book. I persevered and the book started to pick up for me as I continued reading. I don't like that David got off with his behavior, that really proved her family was totally messed up! Other than that, the book started to build and I did enjoy the end and their HEA. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
I loved this so much more than I expected. First: can we get a round of applause for an ugly MC? He’s still hot though, how is that possible? Second: love an Aussie-based romance. Third: amazingly spicy and satisfying sex scenes, including one of the most original I’ve ever read (IYKYK). I was cheering for these two messed up kids the whole time. I loved that Willow wanted to take care of Eden but ultimately let her make the changes to her life that she needed herself.
Bravo, Dangerfield. I will be reading the others in this series.
This was such a fun read! I love the banter between Willow and his mates. Several of their dialogues just had med smiling.
It’s quite a lot of sex scenes in this one, I don’t mind sex scenes. I actually does not like when it just fades to black and you don’t get to read about the sex but I also doesn’t like when it feels like the sex is the plot. So to much sex tends to be kind of boring in my opinion but I actually think the sex scenes added to the plot in a meaningful way in this one.
I love Willow and Eden together. Willow is just an easy character to like. He’s easy going, funny and kind. I love how confident he is but at the same time he’s self conscious about his looks.
This one is an easy and fun read which I read in almost one sitting. I will definitely be checking out the other books publish by the author.
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for giving me and eArc to review.
First and Forever is my second read from Eve Dangerfield, I read Return All last year. I think I liked this one a little more than the last. I didn’t love it but the book was real spicy and a quick and fun read so I’m not mad that I read it or anything.
If you are here for the spice, you have come to the right place. There’s a whole lot of steam in this book, including a Victorian doctor role play scene, some degradation kink, 🍑 stuff, plus plenty of consent and checking for safewords. Willow is a total simp for Eden and they were super cute together.
The book was a good time and I’d definitely read more from this author in the future.
Release date is 5/4, I received an advance copy of the book from the author on NetGalley.
I will post on my Instagram @katebrownreads as well. Will update with link once posted.
This was my first Eve Dangerfield novel and I landed smack in the middle, which means I just have to read more of her books and see if she is for me.
Quick synopsis:
Willow is a big, burly, not handsome football player who falls in love with Eden, an up-and-coming DJ, but he has never met her- just a super fan. Eden is a hot and ambitious DJ with A SHITLOAD of problems, but she cant help but fall for the heart-of-gold and freak-in-the-sheets Willow.
So I've been thinking about this, but I actually think I would have enjoyed it A LOT more if it wasnt a fan to lover story. Something about his obsession with her before even meeting her made him feel creepy to me. Im all for instalove and if he was this infatuated with her AFTER meeting her I would have been devouring the book. Its a total me thing and not at all the author's writing. To me, Eden was too fucked up (drugs, alcohol, family shit, harassment, etc) for me to enjoy it. I just felt like she needed therapy the whole time.
Things I liked:
* After initially thinking Willow is creepy, he turned out to be a total SINnamon (his kinks were W I L D)
* I loved the Australian vibe and the interaction between the boys.
* The ending was super cute
Will definitely pick up the next in this series and try out some more Eve Dangerfield.
Thank you so much to the author for my e-ARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I’ve been an Eve Dangerfield fan for a few years and each time I read a new book, it baffles me that all her books aren’t bestsellers. The characters are relatable, the stories are engrossing, and being romances, they are always steamy. This is the third (and hopefully not last) in the Rebirth series. All three books are excellent and the characters felt like old friends by the conclusion of this one. Willow, a football player in Australia, is enamored with Eden, a musician. This book is Australian, so football isn’t what I’m used to, but since I’m not really a football expert, it made no difference to me.
What works:
1. The dialogue-The characters deal with serious issues, but they’re funny and they seem “real.”
2. The shifting 3rd person points-of-view of the two main characters. I loved being inside their heads.
3. The plot - Willow is becoming “washed up” while Eden is just discovering who she is. He wants a serious relationship and she wants to travel. She thinks he’s too nice and not her type.
3. The dynamic between the leads. He was willing to fulfill her role play dreams, made sure she took care of herself and ate vegetables, and helped her to see the good in herself. In turn, she helped him see what he was capable of and taught him to be a grown up. I was initially nervous because Willow is such a “good” guy, but their chemistry is hotttttt.
4. The characters from the other books made cameos. I loved catching up with Byron, Beth, Derek, Mara, and others.
5. The setup for book 4?!
What didn’t:
1. It ended.
2. I wish we met Willow’s father. His family seemed awesome.
This was my first Eve Dangerfield and she lives up to the hype! This book was great. I loved the characters, premise and role play!
Arghhhhh I loved it, it was so fun, and manages to be sweet AND so filthy, as always with an Eve Dangerfield book.
First and Forever is about Eden and Willow, two opposites attracted to each other. She is a DJ that is having fun, partying all night and Willow is a ginger football player that is her fan and is head over heels for Eden since the beginning.
This is the second book by eve with a nice dude, a gentle giant and I'm here for that, i love that type of characters.
It also includes tropes that I love:
Cinnamon roll hero
Musician heroine (she's a DJ)
Age Gap
Role Play

Eden Jade is an up-and-coming EDM DJ who goes by the name Bunny Descent. Sloan “Willow” Williams is a famous Scottish-Aussie footballer with a large social media following. Willow discovers Bunny Descent at one of her shows and develops an infatuation. After convincing a friend to introduce them, Willow and Eden have a sexy hookup in a coat closet. Eden isn’t looking for a boyfriend, but Willow wants to spend more time with her so they agree to be in a fake relationship so he can boost her celebrity status through social media.
I always love Eve Dangerfield novels because they’re spicy but emotional. The Victorian doctor roleplay scene was so hot and I particularly love how Willow enthusiastically took on the challenge to fulfill Eden’s secret fantasy. Eden was previously in a traumatic relationship as a teenager and has an abusive family that leads her to be immature and Willow devotes his time to helping her better herself through simple changes like eating vegetables, getting adequate sleep, and cleaning her apartment. These same hang-ups make her feel unlovable, and she resists the change in their relationship from fake couple to real lovers. Eden is unlikable in many scenes, but she experiences character growth throughout the book. I like that she learns to take care of her person and love herself outside of the relationship. Towards the end of the book, it was also nice to read about two adults who re-prioritize their lives in order to be together, because real relationships take work and commitment. The only thing I really wasn’t a fan of were all the degrading comments about Willow’s “ugly face,” when he really isn’t ugly at all.
I loved this book and this couple. Eve Dangerfield is skilled at writing any type of character, but I especially love it when she gifts us with a hero like this. Willow is a complete nut, in the kindest and most supportive way possible. He follows his heart and sees no downside if things don't go his way. His dad is still a key figure in his life and he enjoys entertaining and caring for his friends. I just want to read about him forever. Willow's relationship with Eden was really beautiful as they became exactly what the other needs with support and the desire to be the best version of yourself. Plus the role play was next level. Another great addition to this series!
My first thought is First and Forever is a unique premise: an unconventional good guy sports hero and a messy mess heroine who I really wanted to wrap up in a blanket and give a vitamin.
It has a lot going for it. Celebrity insta love which seems odd for a grown man, but, works. It is steamy. Spicy steamy. There is detailed role play, on the sweeter side and on the darker side, really kinky role play. It’s also really sweet. They can share their true selves with one another- and I like that. I really felt like this couple was growing together even in spite of a lot of obstacles.
Our hero Willow is such a good guy, and he just wants to take care of the heroine. He’s a professional football player, confident and the type of guy who is just going to make it work. Eden, the heroine has trauma, addictions, and she’s a little hard to read at times. She should be someone a little tough to love and yet- the author wrote this story in such a way that I really wanted the best for her… and as someone who is pretty intolerant of heroines sometimes, that surprised me. The author did such a good job at making her messiness endearing and balancing it with traits that made you yearn for her to come out on top. The conflict point was one of those spirals of angst that I know people will just freaking love! And then the ending- happy sigh. I do love when the hero steps up for a non traditional ending. I’m glad I saw this book recommended on bookstagram. It isn’t my typical comfort zone but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
C/w: heroine struggles with heavy drinking- she has alcohol in her hand in most scenes,, mention of drugs. Some role play features “mean” dub con. Parental neglect/abuse, grooming
Thank you to netgalley for an advanced copy of this book, all opinions are my own. Will post to other online avenues upon release day.
No one gives me a book hangover like Eve Dangerfield because I usually get them while I'm reading. First and Forever had me feeling hungover after two chapters.
First and Forever is the third standalone in the Rebirth series. Eden Jade is a workaholic with one of the coolest jobs ever - a trance DJ, aka a professional partier and EDM aficionado - but is stuck in the up-and-coming phase. Frustrated by her career standstill, she has a "fuck everything" moment and hooks up with Sloan "Willow" Williams, a doofy and sweet, giant redheaded AFL player who has a massive crush on Eden, after meeting at an afterparty and unintentionally catches feelings for him despite swearing off love and relationships.
When tabloids catch a glimpse of Willow and Eden one night and the unexpected clout quickly boosts her popularity, the pair agree to fake date to help Eden's budding career turn mainstream and ensure she'll stay in lovesick Willow's life for at least six more months.
I thought F&F's predecessor, Return All, was my favorite Dangerfield novel, but this... *multiple chef's kisses* how do I even talk about this without making it seem like I was paid to hype it up?! Fuck it. I loved every moment, truly. Eden's ambitious and unintentionally reckless lifestyle is a perfect fit for Willow's protective and nurturing, yet dominant personality. Their chemistry is believable, their conflict is authentic, and their story is just a sweet, escapist ride that made my heart feel so full. Not a single moment dragged, nor did a joke or story beat fall flat, it was simply perfect and I didn't want it to end.
Post-hiatus Dangerfield is truly spectacular. Her writing has never been sharper and more consistent. If you're a romance lover and have never read one of her novels, you're missing out. There's plenty of steam and kinks you'd never think you'd find appealing (uhh, how do I casually tell my boyfriend I'm now into Victorian doctor roleplay after reading this? 😅) but most importantly, the characters are always real people with genuine struggles that spark believable conflict. It's part escapism, part smut, part poignant and emotional, and overall worth the read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, all the stars.
