This book was fun and sexy, and I loved the relationship between the two main characters. The concept, the supporting characters, the conflict… I truly enjoyed all of it.

Talk Flirty to Me has a great premise but the opening few chapters of the book didn't really hook me and as a result I struggled to get through the book. There were some funny moments of banter and I thought the idea of the main characters narrating an audiobook was good.

Livy Hart’s debut book was everything I didn’t know I needed. It brought the laughs and with an array of characters that were absolutely amazing. I loved the premise of this book where the main characters narrate a steamy audiobook while secretly not liking one another. I need more books like this in my life.

Piper is a voice actor who is down on her luck. She moves back home to help out her family while also trying to look for a job. Her prayers are answered when the perfect job opportunity is in her grasp, but because it’s a two person audition she’s offered help from the unlikeliest of people.

Sam has had a tendency of putting too much on his plate. His current endeavor is running for mayor while also being a firefighter. He doesn’t like letting people down and he tries to prevent that from happening as best he can, but sometimes it just becomes too much. And when he volunteers to help his ex with her dream job, that plate that’s already at full capacity is in danger of spilling over.

Piper and Sam have history, they once dated in high school and after their breakup they haven’t seen each other in years. Now that Piper is back in her hometown there’s no escaping them from running into each other. There’s so much that needs to be cleared up and in order for that to happen they need to really talk everything out, especially the misunderstandings. Piper and Sam had some pretty great chemistry. I loved their banter and how they got under each other’s skin. The connection they once shared is ever present and electric. They grew as individuals and they really did make one another better, they were so good for each other and I enjoyed them as a couple.

Talk Flirty to Me was romcom goodness. I really enjoyed this brother’s best friends second chance romance. And the added only one bed trope was the icing on the cake. The epilogue was *chef’s kiss* and pure gold, it was just perfect and it was so Piper and Sam. I had the best time reading this book and I’ll be re-reading this many times to come. Definitely recommend!

I really wanted to like this one, but something about Talk Flirty to Me fell flat. Maybe it's because I'm a mood reader and I just wasn't vibing with it at the time? I'm not sure. For me the chemistry between the two MCs just wasn't there.

But, I did enjoy the family dynamics. The humor was good and the side characters were excellent. Maybe I'll give it another try down the road.

This was such a fun read! I loved the balance of humor and romance, a perfect blend that really makes the ideal romantic comedy. There was plenty of tropes to be found, but were done in new ways that didn’t make the story feel too familiar. All in all, it was a wonderful, quick read with characters that felt grounded and real and brimming with chemistry.

I love the concept of this book. Two main characters who were first loves are now enemies( more so her than him), and they ultimately work together on an erotic audiobook deal.

I loved that Piper has a large family with a fun and loving dynamic. I would consider this a small-town romance with some spice.

Piper and Sam's back stories were full of depth and content. Although I was engrossed and loved the story, I was initially bored. We could have skipped some of the builds and made this book slightly smaller.

It had way too many chapters. Then once they ended up together, there were still three chapters - I don't think that was needed.

All in all a lovely romance that could use a bit more speed in the beginning and fewer chapters

4 Stars - 2 Spice

This was such a nice second-chance, forced proximity romance, and the added uniqueness of the characters becoming narrators to a spicy romance was fun to follow! I felt the book dragged at times, and the slow burn was a bit killer for me. Piper's character in relationship to her parents and siblings seemed a bit fantastical at times, and I couldn't connect to that plot enough, but otherwise I generally enjoyed this book!

Brief Blurb: Piper has a BIG BREAK for her career as a voice actor, and all she has to do is get her brothers best friend, Sam O'Shea, who's also her ex-boyfriend, to co-narrarate this historical erotic romance! What could go wrong? Other than family drama, temptation to re-explore their pasts, and Sam's run as mayor.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangles Publishing, LLC, for an eARC of Talk Flirty to Me, written by Livy Hart. This is my honest review!

It was a delight to read a refreshing romantic comedy with a sexy no-nonsense firefighter/mayoral candidate and a people-pleasing, struggling voice actress who desperately needs a job even if she has to make a dubious deal with her ex to get it.

Piper Bellini is back home to take care of her pregnant mother, keep order in the chaotic Bellini household, and take stock of her struggling career as an audiobook narrator. Enter a life-changing career deal that comes along once in a lifetime and the momentous deal she makes with the ex who broke her heart so many years ago. Can she keep it professional or will their close proximity make them relive their past?

Sam O’Shea is a confident and focused firefighter who is planning to run for mayor, but he needs his ex’s help to convince her city councilwoman mother to endorse him. The mother who has hated him ever since the incident in high school when he broke her daughter’s heart. However, seeing his ex again has fired up the chemistry that flamed between them in high school and he must make a difficult choice.

The chemistry between Piper and Sam is through the roof and so delectable to watch. It seems the whole erotic audiobook brings their feelings and unfinished and lusty past teenage fumblings to a head. The sexy book readings idea is such a nice touch and a great way to get the emotions rolling between two people who never stopped loving each other. Piper is one who puts others before herself which is one of the problems of her past with Sam. Sam is an only child who is passionate about his career and what he wants to do for his city. His father is controlling and his mother is distant so he’s had only himself to depend upon. When he lost Piper and his best friend Caleb (Piper’s brother) in high school, he focused even harder on his goals. He didn’t know what he was missing until he connected with Caleb again and started working with Piper. When Sam has to make a choice between his new career goals and Piper, it is a turning point in their relationship. Ms. Hart’s debut novel is full of emotions from laughter to heartbreak and so much in between. I love stories with big loving families and the Bellinis fill the bill. They are zany and disorderly, but they stick together for the good and bad. Let me also say that the epilogue is one of the best declarations I’ve read. I can’t give it away, but sigh…. I love happily ever endings.

I loved this debut novel from the start. It captured my attention, made me laugh, and cry, and had me falling for a yummy new book boyfriend.

Thank you to Ms. Hart for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectations of a positive review.

This book, in my opinion, could do better. Because of the sloppy writing, or should I say plot, there wasn't much progress and time for the readers to connect.

I'd also say that I didn't care for the characters as much as I wanted to; it's just that the author didn't give them enough time to shine.

I am such a sucker for a brother's best friend/best friend's sibling romance, and Livy Hart sure does not disappoint with Talk Flirty to me!

SAM. OMG. What a total package of a man, haha. Being a firefighter and running for mayor isn't enough, let's add erotica audiobook narrator to the list! Why not! (Also, how does one get a copy of this fictional audiobook, anyway? Because I NEED IT.)

I really appreciate that this book is told from both main characters' POVs - it seems to be the trend in traditionally published romances recently that they're single POV from the female lead's perspective, and that insight into the inner workings of both leads minds is so crucial sometimes.

Livy Hart is incredible and I absolutely adored this book with my entire heart. My only complaint is I need this on audio - immediately!

second chance romance, where the characters have to narrate the steamiest audiobook while pretending to hate one another, with both the brother's best friend and the one bed only trope? As soon as I saw that book, I KNEW I had to request it.

I really enjoyed this tale of second chance romance for Sam and Piper. It was a lighthearted, funny read that would easily be read in one sitting. Looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The blurb for this one was catching as I expected more scenes of the audio recording bits to develop sexy times but it happened almost at the end of the book.
A second chance romance, miscommunication, immature characters, and eh.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book especially the second chance at romance between Sam and Piper. I recommend this humorous look at love.

I'm not a huge fan of the second chance romance trope but decided to give this a try. Though the book is fast paced, I was annoyed at how hung up the main female character is on a HIGH SCHOOL breakup that happened SEVEN years ago. They are supposed to be narrators but that didn't even start happening until half way through the book.
