This book gives practical and real life examples to help explain manifestation. It also has activities to work through to achieve the goals you want. Overall, a pretty good introduction to the concept and tangible activities for readers to work on. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Manifesting Your Dreams

Laura Chung has given some great background information on manifestation to include her own unique perspective on manifestation, one which she states encompasses both Eastern and Western philosophies. She further states that her perspective includes practices and ideas from her studies in psychology, quantum physics, energy healing, the universal laws, and astrology to help guide you in co-creating your dream life from a place of wholeness.

In this forty-day journey, the author states that in Kundalini yoga, one should practice a kriya (a series of postures or practices) for forty days straight to break a habit and form new ones. She give some significant information as to why she chose forty days, that being, Christians fast for forty days during Lent and there are many cultures around the world that reference forty days as a significant amount of time for renewal, rebirth, and transformation, as well as seeking spiritual truth.

Each day, you will read the lesson for the day and do the practice. If you feel called to go deeper, there is a guide for that as well. The intention of this whole journey is to have fun and enjoy the process.

Laura recommends purchasing a new journal and after you read the content for the day, so the exercises, writing down your thoughts and feelings. Each day covers a different topic, ranging from starting with a Vision, setting your attention, connecting with a higher power and many more pertinent issues.

The author states this book is for the dreamers, the change-makers, healers, artists, storytellers, and lovers who believe in a future that is more inclusive, diverse, and abundant for all, for everyone, including people who look like me and who are first-generation Americans in the United States who come from immigrant parents.

This book actually exceeded my expectations, as I thought it would be just another one of those books. Gives daily insight and exercises. Her personal story, along with guidance on changing your mindset and getting in alignment, all super important ways. I think this is an excellent book to bring into a daily routine of self-care and manifestation, since these are both daily practices we should all add to our life.

An excellent book on achieving what you want in life. Regardless of whether you buy into the manifestation concept, the author has much good advice for working through your issues, improving your mindset, and working towards your deepest held goals. She skillfully weaves in her personal story in a format offering daily lessons and topics to think about. The book is beautifully written and thought provoking. Highly recommended for anyone thinking through past hurts or hoping to live a better life.

This is a really well-written book. I’m getting so much out of the daily exercises, and I love the additional “go deeper” exercises.

How to Manifest: Make Your Dreams a Reality in 40 Days was not at all what I was expecting from the title.
There are so many 'how to manifest' books out there, especially self published attempts that I nearly didn't give this a try. It is much more extensive and deep than I expected and the author is very knowledgeable in a lot of areas. There are lots of great exercises including mediation, intention setting, journaling, scripting, and changing your mindset. There are lots of personal stories along the way including the authors own issues with racism. You won't relate to everything but there are so many good ideas and guidance in this book that it is really worth a read. Don't let the title put you off like I nearly did

This book is how to co-create your dream life with the higher power (God, universe, whatever you may term it). The book is not a simple get rich book about manifesting material things but is a unique analysis of the manifestation process from the perspective of Jungian psychology, eastern religion, quantum physics, the universal laws of hermeticism. It is arranged in a series of 40 days of meditations on various aspects of manifestation with journal prompts and activities. It is unique in that it acknowledges that you need to feel safe and secure in order to tap into the creative energy of manifestation and that sometimes, manifestation is hampered by dealing with systemic issues, such as intergenerational trauma, racism, homophobia and sexism. This is by far the most profound and most astute book I have seen on manifestation and I have read a lot of manifestion books as the author of a book on manifestion resources and the owner of a manifestation forum. I give it an A+.
