I love Elin Hilderbrand as a fun, women's fiction author. Her books are always a fun, not-too-heavy-but-not-too-light read. Basically, to compare it with a favorite childhood story, Goldilocks and the three bears, Elin Hilderbrand is Mama Bear's stuff. Hotel Nantucket took a little departure from what I am used to in her stories with the character of a ghost being one of the narrators, but I loved Grace. I would love to have seen more of a development of the romance story for Lizbet, however, with a book this long, there were a lot of characters to get to, and I did love all their stories. Even the characters Grace deemed villains from the start ended up being a lot more than one-note.
Another bonus with The Hotel Nantucket was that adultery was not glorified in the novel. In previous novels, romanticizing adultery is the one aspect of many Hilderbrand novels that I have the most difficult time stomaching. The Hotel Nantucket steers away from that without pretending it doesn't happen.
All in all, I raced through this novel because I couldn't tear myself away from it! It left me feeling uplifted AND wanting desperately to visit The Hotel Nantucket or somewhere like it!!

More Like 3 and ½ Stars!
Elin Hilderbrand is one of my favorite authors and The Hotel Nantucket was one of my most anticipated reads of 2022. That being said- Thank you so so much NetGalley and Hachette Audio for my advanced copy.
What I enjoyed-
*The Audio- This is an audiobook so lets start here. The Hotel Nantucket is narrated by Erin Bennett.
Erin has a huge back list of audio titles. She has narrated quite a few of Elin's books. She always does a phenomenal job. Highly recommend the audio for this one.
*The Setting- Love Nantucket. I've never personally been there but Elin makes me feel like a local when reading her novels.
*The Multiple POV's - I loved making the rounds. Meeting the locals and the hotel guests. I think Grace would have to be my favorite. (She's the hotel ghost) Her POV was very unique.
Why This Book Lost Stars-
I hate this part of the review.
As much as I loved the POV's and jumping around to the many characters- I feel as though I didn't get to spend enough time with any of them to form an attachment. I wanted to feel something. To root for someone.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't bored.
This one just didn't hold the same magic as say: 28 Summers or Summer of 69.
For me personally.
Overall- Still recommend. I will continue to read Elin's books and look forward to all of her future releases.

THE beach read or listen of 2022. We find Lizbet Keaton starting over with a new job as manager of the newly restored Hotel Nantucket, trying to prove herself to the hotel’s owner, Xavier Darling. Years ago, the hotel was the Gilded Era place to be and be seen, but the mysterious fire that killed chambermaid, Grace, was the beginning of the end for the grande dame. Now, resurrected to her former glory, the hotel still has a bit of an image problem, not to mention the ghost of Grace roaming the halls. A glitzy summer read about how the other half lives

A wonderful describtions of the place, I would love to be there. Live there would be a challege. It was interesting but so many characters that was a little too much unfortunately. And the paranormal thing did not work for me at all. I am not a fantasy dreamer so I am sorry for this wonderful told story but did not worked for me, I belive for many will be.
Thank you Hachette Audio and Netgalley for this Audio copy
