Well this one was super and an amazing finale! Floved this series, it was fun and easy! The covers were very charming! My first series by this author and I’m glad I asked for it!
What did I like? The book has an environmental aspect that blends beautifully with the story. Add the wolves and a little angst made it a worthy read. Highly enjoyable!
Would I recommend or buy? These pretties would look great on my shelf! I would definitely read more by this author!
I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!
A fantastic finale to the 3 Color’s trilogy by Bethany Maines and it’s the turn of Ochre Lucas to meet his match. Ochre was a bit of a hippy character, an environmentalist happier hiding out in the wilds than dealing with people and on the surface a bizarre mate for the secretive wolf shifter Anna who is waging a personal war against warlocks but there was a lot of witty exchanges between them and great chemistry. I also loved Anna’s confrontations with her overprotective father who surprisingly seemed slightly afraid of his daughter The underlying story arc with the evil warlocks and their plans for world domination – think Pinky and the Brain - continues in this book and while it doesn’t really come to a conclusion by the end of A Brighter Yellow it does open up the opportunity for new series linked to this one so hopefully we haven’t heard the last of the Lucas siblings and their mates
Another great read in this series, the final sibling meets his match when Ochre stumbles across Anna (helped in no small part by his sister Azure)
Wolf shifter Anna is such a strong female, similar to Azure in many ways which is perhaps why Ochre gravitates towards her.
Ochre is unapologetically himself and I loved him for that. The vegetarian earths scientist was the perfect foil for Anna’s headstrong ways
The one downside to this book was whilst it had all the elements that made the other 2 books great. It missed a conclusion. Like there is a hea for Ochre and Anna but the underlying story that has travelled throughout remains unsolved. I get this opens up the option for more series etc but it was mildly disappointing.
The third book in this series does not disappoint!
I loved getting advancement on the big story, which I'm loving, and I loved reading Ochre's story.
The development of Ochre and Anna's story was amazing. I love that they butt heads so often but are still smitten with each other.
This book felt so short, mainly because I can't get enough of it. Im really eager to see where the story will go next and who will be at the centre of it. It's developing so well and I know it's only going to get better!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Shifters - action - heat - and hey, some environmental issues getting a call out and those bad guys getting what they deserve - well, most of them. Third in the series, each can stand alone, but more fun reading them all
A Brighter Yellow
3 Colors Trilogy, #3
by Bethany Maines
This is the final part of the Lucas family story following the Lucas siblings who are part human and fae with their other additional powers. Ochre Lucas is a 6ft 5inch environmental scientist who’s sister Azure has asked him to keep shifter, Anna Allanach, safe as she has had a vision about her safety. The story follows the journey to keep the human/supernatural safe from renegade warlocks.
A well written quick easy read which js very enjoyable and grabs from first page to last 4.5/5
I loved Ochre and Anna! Anna's part in the future of the Supernaturals is full of intrigue. There was action and suspense and a touch of humor. These two have an important role to play. The chemistry is intense and the romance steamy. And while the journey of the Lucas siblings is finished there's a lot of story left in this world. I can't wait to see what comes next.
Gosh, Anna is adorable, but a little annoying. She's always saying and doing things that Ochre doesn't expect but also just assumes she knows what he's thinking. Growing up in a family that didn't support her, Anna has major trust issues, especially when it comes to her missions. It takes a while for them to overcome their communication issues, but they eventually work through it and are able to help thwart an evil warlock's plans and undo a spell that's harmed the supernatural community for generations. This book wrapped up the Lucas siblings story but I'm looking forward to reading more stories based in this world.
